TM experience will make your work easier
What do you like best about the product?
In my experience data analysis and conclusion and recommendation making when facing a problem at our site has been remarkably faster. We also use it to support ideas for new projects!
What do you dislike about the product?
Still experiencing learning curve and change resistance from other coworkers. When using TM for daily analysis flow diagrams are missed.
If TM would allow us to create a TAG template for each equipment, that can come handy when analyzing correlations.

Saving a lot of time in data analysis, numeric correlation for our conclusion making.

Using TrendMiner to save time
What do you like best about the product?
TrendMiner is easy to use and easy to learn. I work as a production engineer and use TM primarily for more efficient analysis of upset conditions. I can complete analysis using TM tools like value-based searching or tag shape similarity searching or event layering much more efficiently than I have in the past using DCS historian / Excel tools.
What do you dislike about the product?
I haven't used TrendMiner enough to fully utilize all of its capabilities. I have found TrendMiner to be easy to use and learn so I do not have many dislikes to share.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
TrendMiner is helping me become more efficient at analyzing data and providing automated alerts of specific conditions. In the past, some of the scenarios may have gone undetected unless the operators thought it was of importance to share.
Excellent, user-friendly software for analytics, monitoring, and communication
What do you like best about the product?
The user friendly web-interface is best in class. Many users at my company prefer Trendminer as a their primary trending client.
What do you dislike about the product?
They have not yet released a mobile friendly interface for use on phones and tablets.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have used Trendminer to solve process optimzation challenges, identify predictive maintenance improvements, and predict quality values hours before they are verified.
User friendly and all information available at once
What do you like best about the product?
I like that i can complete calculations and create new tags. Also the ability to find similar trends and correlations is pretty sweet.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like to be able to complete nested calculations and receive visual email notifications atleast for the most pertinent piece of data.

it makes data analytics faster and smoother due to all the capabilities made immediately available
New user to Trendminer, but excited about all the possibilities.

Trendminer is helping me figure out optimization opportunities for plants.
Great tool for daily work - easy and fast problem solving
What do you like best about the product?
What I like most is the simple search functions in TM. The value-based search as well as the search based on similarities is incredibly helpful in identifying minor deviations in the process and thus improving the process in the long term.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like the fact that I can only work with continuous data for Golden Batch analyses or predictions. Especially for batch processes I only get one analysis value per parameter for the whole batch. It would be great if I could predict a quality based on historical data. This allows me to decide whether to stop time-consuming batch processes before they are finished or to process them to the end.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Daily problems such as causes of techn. defects or process variations. Likewise in the clarification of customer complaints or also in the reduction of downtimes.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
TM is exactly the right tool, if you are looking for a tool that will make daily work with data easy

What do you like best about the product?
Easy (nearly intuitivly) to use. Fast visualization of Production data

The user interface is a bit old fashioned.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Working with a large amount of process data. Searching for events within the data, doing a correlation analysis to find the root-cause of abnormal behavior.
Easiest access to the history of your data
What do you like best about the product?
The tool has a low learning curve so you can get started with your data quickly, the strong points are searching and viewing periods of data that would likely crash other tools. They also have good support and follow up to assist you in using it.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes you have to export data and take it to Excel or Python but that need is decreasing with notebooks and the ContextHub functions that are on the roadmap.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is great for root cause analyses and monitoring, but to me, it is even more valuable that it gets more colleagues to use process data so we become more data driven and less based on gut feeling or experience only.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It really starts to excel if you are using frequently updating time series that are stored for multiple years in a historian. Clean interface so beginning users are not confused by dozens of buttons and options, which is the case with a lot of other data analysis tools.

What do you like best about the product?
The speed of getting a lot of data very quickly on your screen, as well as the data searches.
What do you dislike about the product?
When adding a new context item, you cannot search freely on the tags already selected, you have to select the tag again and that is quite tedious if you want to add the same context item on multiple tags.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Quickly knowing what is going with certain equipment and checking if this is normal behaviour by comparing with historical data. To see if something is really a problem or not.

Try it! Then you truly know what it can do for you.
