Indicative gives us great value
What do you like best about the product?
Indicative allows us to visualize our customer journey as they interact with our system. Whenever there's a concern or issue, I love the ability to be able to see what's going on with our customers and understanding how they interact with our system. Indicative delivers us actionable data, right at our fingertips.
What do you dislike about the product?
Indicate needs to improve its mobile experience. Sometimes I need answers on the go and while it works on mobile, the experience is not as smooth as web.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Indicative gives us access to data that we can analyze. It helps us make quick decisions as well as flag any issues early on.

Very easy for quick analysis and building dashboards for monitoring
What do you like best about the product?
I like how easy it is to pull data and build visuals for monitoring metrics in a fast paced team where things are changing all the time.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike that there are currently some restrictions to dashboarding, although this is something that will be in the works soon.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am learning about the behavior of POF members and how the livestream feature is affecting the landscape of dating.
Better than Amplitude in many ways
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to send up to 1 billion events per month.
What do you dislike about the product?
I feel like it's missing a crucial feature: moving (= rolling) averages.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We're monitoring most of our business metrics and events through Indicative. It helps us make meaningful decisions on what to prioritize.
Easy to use with a low barrier to entry
What do you like best about the product?
As someone who works on the backend, I don't deal directly with client-side analytics too much. However, whenever I need to look at something more analytics-focused, I can easily dip into indicative and generally find what I need without too much knowledge of the platform.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find the need to share certain views a lot, and sometimes the URL structure can be confusing in terms of which filters or attributes are or are not included in a particular view.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We mostly use Indicative at work for client-side analytics -- tracking customer events on our mobile and web applications. We track certain events for people who browse our app, click around, view certain products, click further down the conversion funnel, make purchases, etc. and track the relationship between those events. The main benefit I have realized is to be able to visualize the trends of customers, where they drop off in the conversion funnel, and conversion rates at each step.
We have also used indicative to triage errors and measure which errors occur most frequently, in what contexts, and on which platforms.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
Pay attention to which types of dashboards and graphs best visualize the data you are trying to study. When viewing a graph, pay attention to length of time when analyzing trends. Indicative makes it really easy to alter the timeline and zoom in / zoom out to gain more granular or more holistic data points.
Mixpanel on steroids.
What do you like best about the product?
The fast and powerful UI allows for codeless analyses that would be hard to do with SQL.
What do you dislike about the product?
Adding segments which aren't based on behavioural data is difficult as it relies on use of an API. I'd like to see this improved in the future - ideally I'd be able to throw in datasets from our database on the fly and use them to create segments using legacy data.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
- conversion rate optimisation of core company flows --> dashboards are allowing us to record performance granularly and also see the impacts of our work.
- quick self-serve analyses --> data team are now no longer a bottleneck to team data requests. People at the company with access to the tool can perform analyses without the data team which is starting more interesting conversations about the data (rather than what was previously just different members of the team requesting for data).

The best funnel analysis tool I've used
What do you like best about the product?
The best feature is their funnel analysis. The optional path helps you analyze a user's journey across events which some would not necessarily know fall in the sequence. It helps you to find which is a better journey by analyzing the optional features in between.
What do you dislike about the product?
The ability to not open new tabs by clicking right. I believe I have got this habit as it's a universal habit while using a desktop or laptop to open things on new tab so that it doesn't hamper your current progress/work.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Product analytics as well as user behaviour analysis. The timeline is good and broken into sessions. The did/did not function allows you to understand time difference between the ideal and the optimum time when a feature should be highlighted.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's a good alternative to most of the product analytics tools out there but the best in terms for Pricing.
Have been using this tool as a PM for almost a year now.
What do you like best about the product?
Able to easily see user flows when looking at opportunities in our user funnels.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not much at all. The tool fits my needs for what I use it for a daily basis.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Able to quickly spot drop offs in customer funnels and also able to pull quick analytics on new features.
Quite good user behaviour analysis for a fair price
What do you like best about the product?
- fair price compared to alternatives
- ability to do multipath funnel analysis with great visualizations
- S3 integration, much better than using http requests
- ability to send scheduled reports

What do you dislike about the product?
- pathfinding analysis is not supported (i.e. what are the most common paths that user followed to reach event X)
- significance calculation for A/B tests not supported
- roles/permissions are not granular enough

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
product analytics questions. Mostly funnel and adoption analysis. Also quite useful to analyze A/B test results.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
- a very powerful alternative to products like mixpanel/amplitude etc.
- I think it shouldn't be the only analytics tool but if you have a flexible tool (Looker, Tableau, etc) where you can handle basic reporting Indicative is a great supplement since it handles big event data easily (which is very tricky with SQL)

Userfriendly analytic tool
What do you like best about the product?
I really enjoy the segmentation and funnel tools which are quite useful for our enterprise. In terms of QA, our production team really enjoy the interface to test the features, product and releases of our new developments. It's a win-win for both our business team and our technical team.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some features useful for us are missing such as an alert when anomalies can be seen or selecting multiple options in the filters (we need to select each one because it is a varchar). I do understand that varchar shouldn't be considered as integers, but for versions of the application, this would be very much useful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are testing the releases of our applications, but we also have numerous business cases to fill up.
How does Indicative help self-serving data - Prezi SaaS use case
What do you like best about the product?
This review is written from an analyst perspective. We are putting efforts to help the whole company self-serving its product data.
I like the execution speed of the user queries, even with high volume of data.
I like that event categorisation is easy to achieve and the interface helps selecting the right event/attribute pairs.
I like the possibility to create custom and joint events and that it is an accessible feature.
I like the functionality to set a completion time on a funnel report and the recently introduced "funnel over time" feature.
I like the new beta "Approximate funnels", we are using for many user cases.

What do you dislike about the product?
At the moment, we suffer from some limitations:
- we do not have the ability to join events in a funnel based on an attribute value and not on user_ids. it would be helpful to have the ability to filter subsequent events in a funnel based on different identifiers inside the event's attributes
- We do not have the ability to create a custom condition based only on one specific value of an attribute and valid across pieces of the funnel.
- Dashboard layout edit mode is erratic and does not help placing widgets freely with extending the canvas.
- We cannot insert text boxes or custom commentary on the dashboard
- In a funnel report, "saying user who did not perform an event" is not always obvious and in some advance cases it is impossible

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The main problem we try to solve is data accessibility and data trust.
We want to enable every part of our organisation to have access to user data and generate logical reports based on their hypothesis.
This in turns translates on a lower workload on our team of analysts, which now have only the functionality of checking data validity and increase the trust on our data.
Indicative is a valid tool for answering to quick question and, to some extent, it even enables non data savvy user to deep dive into the data.
Yet the analyst approach is more critical and we know that some cases needs to be taken out of the platform for analysis.
Nonetheless, we even use it for quick data validation checks or to support our stakeholders with more complex analysis
