My experience with mParticle
What do you like best about the product?
I like the support we are getting from the mParticle team when we have any technical mParticle related questions.
What do you dislike about the product?
Even if the tool is doing well, what it is supposed to do, there are some areas for improvement:
1. Monitoring/debugging capabilities are limited. I feel that more information could be retrieved and presented to the user to simplify his life. E.g. Showing the status of a newly built connection or displaying information on how to test the connection.
2. I miss a simplified setup process or pop-up hints during setup. E.g. When we connect mParticle output to the new destination, it would be nice to get messages explaining what is not done yet - like, A. input needs to be connected to the output. Or B. showing a warning that sending too many data points can have a financial impact on the destination system.

Ideal CDP for Growth Marketing Stack
What do you like best about the product?
mParticle allows us to capture data from many sources into a single platform and then distribute it as-needed to other systems that would otherwise not be able to capture it directly.
What do you dislike about the product?
Only downside: you need to know your data strategy. mParticle is powerful but its true power is harnessed through a thoughtful data strategy that directly solves use cases needed for your tech stack and team needs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We're able to better understand our customers. Specifically, we're able to capture event data and leverage the data within those events to create segments in downstream systems to deliver 1:1 personalized communication.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Determine your data goals, work with your mParticle team to set up and implement your data strategy, and monitor your data as it comes in for meaningful and actionable insights!
Simple and effective
What do you like best about the product?
Navigating the customer data platform market can be challenging for any business, especially when your expertise is not technology. At Nova Entertainment we required a simple but effective solution to be provided by someone that understood our business. The mParticle team were incredibly attentive through the selection process and committed to helping make sure the implementation of a customer data platform in our business was a success.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not having the team located here in Australia originally was not ideal however, the mParticle team continues to grow and we take assurance from that. Connectors and integrations are always a challenging one and we did find a couple of instances where data feeds from other platforms required transforming before ingestion into mParticle.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We implemented mParticle to streamline data collection across our assets where we collect both registration and behavioural data from our audiences. The main need was to standardise that collection, collect behavioural data to then be appended to user profiles and then stream clean data to downstream platforms for activation and utilisation.

What do you like best about the product?
An extensive list of supported Data Sources and Services. Great support to get started and very knowledgeable when figuring out new use cases.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing so far. We've been able to realize all our usecases.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Single source of truth for our data. It allows us to verify and act on any inconsistent reporting data.
Excellent Customer Data Platform and support team!
What do you like best about the product?
mParticle has so many out-of-the-box integrations, and they make it easy for our teams to centralize and act on data from many parts of the organization. The support team has been proactive, helpful, and knowledgeable from day one - and we are happy with mParticle having a home in our tech stack.
What do you dislike about the product?
We've been thoroughly satisfied with the mParticle platform and the mParticle team.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We've automated the collection and transmission of data. We've learned more about our customers, helping us deliver more of what they want. We've eliminated manual tasks and have empowered our teams to accomplish more with less time and effort.
Team is very professional and the tool is very powerful to deliver on our business objectives.

The ability to target real-time audiences and help personalisation across different platforms
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing to mention at this moment of time.

Data collection across one platform and sending downstream events to different buying platforms
Primiere Product, but Expensive
What do you like best about the product?
The interface, and navigation is very easy to work through. Finding things is straight-forward.
What do you dislike about the product?
The price. It is very very expensive. However, it's become a necessity. We do find ourselves considering alternatives, just because of the price tag.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Management of data and PII. That's really what it comes down to.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make sure you do due diligence in selecting your vendor. When you've settled, it is very difficult to switch.
