Where Performance Matters
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to configure services and routes and plugins in kong and several security plugins makes development handy.
Different flavours of deployment with kong like CP DP Model , Kong mesh and Kong Konnect and standalone on prem deployment.
Lightening fast routing traffic and plugin execution makes it best in performance.
Several policies with kong mesh makes the development handy.
Easy to integrate with the microservices and easy to implement custom plguins .

What do you dislike about the product?
Creating Custom Plugins using lua ,
forces to learn new technology,
Although kong has flexibility to integrate with GO and JS ,
Still I feel the performance is not similar

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Faster routing the requests across the microservices and the authentication plugins helps to remove the extra burden on creating separate authentication layer on top of microservies.

Experience of KONG API
What do you like best about the product?
It is easy to use and we can scale the service as per the requirement also it is the most secured one for microservices and distributed architectures. Great performance too.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing but the credentials are provided by the admin as we customers can't change them, and customer care support needs to improve.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The problems of microservice like load balancing, monitoring each microservice, fault tolerance and some other features also , need to explore other things too, as the requirement comes or need to see other things as of now as mentioned above I currently using.
Good balance loading, interesting features. Not rly good monitoring with Instana

The key features are nice, load balancing and gateway itself and the flexibility.
What do you dislike about the product?
Monitoring with Instana not yet available straightaway.

We replaced all the microgateways and Kong is much more stable and flexible

What do you like best about the product?
The infrastructure of Kong is it's the best thing which separates it from others.We can easily customise our business flows and also make the plugins customised and then we can deploy them easily.
What do you dislike about the product?
Plugins can be made in multiple languages and some easier path for deployment can be made as it is hard to debug and test them.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It has helped us handling each and every request easily and can make a detailed note of them and we have customised every flow as per the customers requirement.
Kong for fastest API gateway
What do you like best about the product?
I love Kong API Gateway because it's very lightweight, very easy to install in different platform and even beginners can also find easy to learn and use, fantastic tool for API development and management like Postman etc. and it's user friendly UI experience.
What do you dislike about the product?
Obviously in every projects there are more apis, sometimes I feel like difficulty in complexity, and also add more details to documents, other than that i didn't observed any other downside.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Kong API Gateway helps my projects Microservice application without any difficulty easily set load balance to other micro services and traffic management whenever some service got more traffic moving traffic other services, monitoring services.

What do you like best about the product?
The Kong is very deligate and light weight to use. No very high specifications of your system are used casue generally people might find difficult when their system specifications are low

Everything is pretty nice, but can improve some in documentation on how to setup initially, and made some nice tutorials.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have been using Kong for my personal projects ita kinda great and helpfil for me, i been learning a new things fast
Kong powerful API management service
What do you like best about the product?
Kong can scale to the developer and user needs as applications grow. Although a bit of a learning curve can be expected, this outweighs the benefits of a flexible API solution.
What do you dislike about the product?
Kong has a learning curve if you are not familiar with API management and solutions. Also the use of Lua for plugin integration could be improved upon by provided developers the programming language of choice, such as Go or Javascript.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Kong allows secure API endoints to provide developers an interface to protected data either residing in the cloud or onPrem. This was useful while slowly migrating new applications and also provided a solution to legacy applications.

What do you like best about the product?
I really like the ui/ux of it, seems easier to understand and learn.
What do you dislike about the product?
I face dificuly in integrating it with various api testing platform, which later I sort it out. But yeah you can improve your docs on intergeration with insomnia.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is solving my problem of creating an instant api, for an urgent requirement. I used Rapid API before, but liked Kong over it.
