ArcGIS Online great for training!
What do you like best about the product?
ArcGIS Online makes training easy. Love the ease of use and functionality. Presentation of product on ArcGIS Online is also great!
What do you dislike about the product?
Learning curve is slightly hard... but once you learn it, it becomes easy.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Publishing maps for public to visualize, such as zoning updates and changes, public notices with attached douments, etc. Also use to create story maps for presentations to council members, and create story maps of parks with rental information.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Utilize to present technical details to audience members that are not that technical.

What do you like best about the product?
Desktop tools and now that I've moved to ArcPro I love it.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes there's so much change that it's challenging to keep up with it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Teaching GIS. AGOL provides an easy and fun way to share GIS with youth.
Great Software
What do you like best about the product?
AGOL is easy to access - its a website so all you need is an internet connection and a web browser. Great for office users and people who are used to web browsing.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the features and functionality dont flow through to AGOL. For example, I beleive pulling layer information is not possible when creating a feature in AGOL
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use it to help utility companies see and interat with our data. Benefits are: Easy to use, no software installation required (whch is HUGE)
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Its great becuase its accessable from the web. It makes distributiong ArcGIS information very easy to outside vendors. While I personally did limited administration in the tool, those on my tea who did it said it was very easy to deploy and keep up to date. Both existing ESRI resources and some ESRI partners were ready willing and able to help.

that allows to locate in projection any geographic object without having installed software in pc

That if the sinternet connection is slow the program takes to execute the commands

ArcGIS Online allows cartographic representation and cloud-based analysis to create maps, analyze data. This tool is easy to use to prepare updated georeferenced cartography.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
ArcGIS Online allows analyzing, sharing information of geographic data. It is a very useful tool for real-time location of any geo-referenced object.
An efficient online GIS mapping tool
What do you like best about the product?
As a product of ESRI, you have direct access to their vast amount of datasets and tools. You can work on anyone of the raw datasets or import the already publised map of others.
What do you dislike about the product?
For unpaid users you are limited to 50 credits and it gets exhausted very quickly. Also you can load medium sized datasets.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I used ArcGIS online mainly for my project work. Its ease to load datasets in various formats and also visualizing the data with a single click is very nice.

A quick GIS tool for analysing spatial data.

ArcGIS online is very easy to use and the products that you can make with it are very aesthetically pleasing

You are really limited in the amount of indepth analysis

The main benefits I've realized with arcgis online is the ability to produce a product and submit that for the client for easy viewing

ArcGIS online is very good for making projects and products very visible, for more indepth analysis, desktop or arcmap is better

I like that I can use ArcGIS in place of InRoads to build terrains and perform volume calculations.
What do you dislike about the product?
It struggles to load extremely large datasets but once I convert the points to a .tif, it's smooth sailing!

I use Arc to create and maintain databases as well as build surface models.

The ability to access anywhere and having various galleries for different business units.

Some pages can take a little long to load

Elevation Contours and lat/long coordinates plotting and verification.

Great product for mapping and map web hosting.
Powerful Mapping Platform
What do you like best about the product?
Access to multiple visualization features (i.e. counts, heatmaps) and Power BI integration. The ability to tap into their online layers is also helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
Analysis features are limited. It would be great to show data across a time series and to measure the changes. Collaboration is also clunky for external users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Population density heat mapping and transportation service planning both internally and for customers

More robust platform than GoogleMaps. No limit on layers.
The best platform to represent and share maps on the Web
What do you like best about the product?
It is the best online platform from Esri where you can add shapefile layers, edit, and even represent thematic maps easily and with a free version. Additionally, you can share geographic data represented on the web with colleagues and peers who want to see the work done by the company I work for. I believe ArcGIS Online is one of the best tools for displaying cartographic information on the web.
What do you dislike about the product?
Although a program that in its free version is complete and you can practically do many things from the point of view of thematic map representation and location. I would like to have a free trial version for a limited time, with several of the functions that are available in the paid ArcGis online.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Many of the problems that arise in my company are due to the desire to display cartographic and thematic information of a project, and several of our clients do not manage or use ArcGIS. Therefore, showing clients who are in remote locations the information of the projects being worked on, from the comfort of their computer with an internet connection, where the client can review and see elements just by opening an account in ArcGIS Online with their email address.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Sure, I highly recommend this program on the Web for sharing information and also for those who want to create thematic maps and do not have experience with desktop ArcGIS. It is a simple program with a free version.
