Best device/browser testing service on the market
What do you like best about the product?
Browserstack has the best selection of device/OS combinations by far. The only thing that beats it (I don't think Browserstack offer it) are the services like AWS Device Farm where you can physically request a specific device/OS combinations, but these tend to be expensive.
What do you dislike about the product?
Reliability is not the best - the remote testing crashes occasionally independent of connection issues. The dev tools within the remote testing are also quite iffy - sometimes it only show part of the DOM, other times console does not work etc.

As one could expect of a provider that makes your experience as seamless as possible, that doesn't come in cheap.
If you plan to use BrowserStack for a small team with a significant output, you might struggle with the pricing. Still, if you plan to use it at an organisational level and have multiple teams using it, I think it's fair and competitive.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have around 50 apps within our organisation and testing all of them manually was just not something doable, so getting our automation to run against each of those apps on every single combination of device and OS possible was a game changer.
That being said, another huge problem we solved was the maintainability of real devices to perform manual testing, the mobile market changes at an incredible pace and keep buying new devices to match the market and cover all your corners is not doable, having a massive library of devices that you can connect at any time to perform different combinations of manual testing definitely changes things.

What do you dislike about the product?
Firstly, the pricing can be quite steep, especially for individual or small-scale projects. It would be more accommodating if there were more flexible pricing options available. Secondly, while the platform is user-friendly, there was a bit of a learning curve for me when I initially started using it. It took some time to fully grasp all the features and make the most of them. Lastly, the limitations on concurrent testing sessions can be a bit restrictive, particularly when I need to run multiple tests simultaneously on different devices.

By providing a wide range of real devices and browsers for testing, BrowserStack helps identify and address compatibility issues early in the development process.
