How we started tracking an otherwise untracable bugs by using BrowserStack
What do you like best about the product?
BrowserStack has simple interface, fast loading app and a large number of devices to choose from. Testing private websites/localhost it's a huge deal.
What do you dislike about the product?
We found a one minute per device in trial mode of Manual Testing a bit limitting. I think a bit longer time and perhaps less devices would allow more astute acknowledging with the tool during the trial.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use BrowserStack to track bugs that happen on specific devices. Our solutions are heavily dependant on hardware and it's helpful to test on exact same device model as owned by the user who encountered an issue.
At one occasion we could not trace the bug using traditional means (analysing error logs, interviewing user, using tests and test devices) and only when we used the same device on BrowserStack it became super clear what was causing the issue.

Simple, convenient testing on a variety of mobile and desktop browsers
What do you like best about the product?
There are countless options to choose from in terms of which devices and browsers you wish to test, and you are able to effortlessly type by using your computer's keyboard across all of them. I also appreciate the ability to size the device preview, and to quickly rotate its orientation.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is sometimes annoying to come back to a session and see that it has been logged out, especially when testing authenticated applications (as cookies/signins do not transfer from device to device, and are not stored at all).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We need to test mobile compatibility, and compatibility with some browsers that we do not have access to (such as Safari), which is made simple with the application.

High price.
High price.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is a tool that makes it easy to test different system developments for different teams, teams that we often do not have physically and that is necessary for the software to work correctly.
Easy to use and easy to navigate
What do you like best about the product?
Sign up process and implementation was easy, easy to navigate within the website, support team was amazing,it has all the featues we need to test the app.
What do you dislike about the product?

Browserstack manual testing

BrowserStack support multiple browser with multiple version for testing. It also allow the testing with different OS combination. And it is easy to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
The new plan for Browserstack is more expensive than the old plan.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We don't need to build the browser lab for our QA team to test our web applications after we have BrowserStack. this is a huge budget save for us.
Cross-platform testing made simple - having dev tools available across all devices is a dream!
What do you like best about the product?
Excellent support for local testing - the process is extemely quick and easy to set up without any messing around. You can be testing localhost dev versions of a site in less than a minute. It's now a frequent part of my development workflow.
Able to use Chrome dev tools across a range of devices and browsers. Especially useful for iOS devices, where it's otherwise impossible to inspect site elements and deployed CSS without connecting it to a Mac. Having the choice between Safari and Chrome dev tools is great too, since it means I can use the same dev tools everywhere and not waste time re-learning different layouts.
Large range of REAL devices. Emulated testing can never be relied on in the same way, so having access to real physical devices that go back multiple generations and can be accessed almost instantly can't be underestimated.

What do you dislike about the product?
Not all devices seem to offer options for all browser versions. In particular, I noticed that iPad 9th gen only offers iOS version 15. Although it's possible to select a different iPad generation and test a different iOS version that way, viewport sizes and aspect ratios do vary between iPad generations, and I wanted to be absolutely certain that my site would display a certain way on iOS 17, with the iPad 9th gen viewport size.
However, these situations are edge cases and are generally few and far between.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Front-end development targeting multiple devices can be a nightmare to test. My normal development workflow involves heavy use of browser dev tools to inspect elements and adjust CSS on the fly, but without a tool like Browserstack that isn't easy to do. While it is possible on Android and iOS, it involves linking the device to a computer, which in the case of iOS specifically has to be a Mac.
I don't use a Mac, but iOS devices are key targets for our company's apps and websites, so being able to inspect, test and experiment with styling on those devices through dev tools is invaluable.
Browserstack also allows me to test websites and apps on a much larger range of devices, OS versions and browsers than I would be able to do if I was using the physical devices our dev department has access to.

What do you like best about the product?
Makes it simple to test backwards compatibility of new features and to identify bugs.
What do you dislike about the product?
Speed for manual testings could be improved.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We need to ensure our SaaS webapp works across various platforms. In addition, we sometimes get error reports from users on very old browser version. So instead of having to find and install numerous outdated browser versions, we can just go to broweserstack.
Helpful at each step
What do you like best about the product?
I love the variety of devices and systems that I can use. It is very easy to use, even for someone who hasn't had a tool like that in their hands. I use I often when customers are reporting issues that happen only on certain devices.
What do you dislike about the product?
The slowness of the application, devs tools (new feature) take minutes to be turned on an m1 machine with a great internet connection.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I do not need to have dozen devices or VMs. It is slow but still faster than installing a VM and surely the cheapest option to test on a device - VMs are usually more expensive or you need a license to purchase Windows when you're on Linux - with Borwserstack that is not a problem.
