A pretty good tool

What do you like best about the product?
Browserstack is very good at allowing you to quickly test across devices, especially devices you do not own such as a mach or an iOS, i looked around and even if other competitors had similar offers many lacked iOS and Mac devices support so in some cases Browserstack is worth that extra money.
What do you dislike about the product?
Browserstack unfortunately can get a bit buggy, for example I found a bug on their mac live tests that didn't make my keyboard layout work as expected, but still, pretty good overall, iOS was flawless.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I was able to use browserstack for the first time while doing a freelancing project, I wasn't sure wether or not it was my fault or my client's phone fault when it came to my website not working as expected (because, well, webkit), Browserstack solved that doubt.

A Developers take on BrowserStack's powerful testing platform

  • August 25, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
What’s truly impressive from the developer in me is how BrowserStack facilitates thorough testing across myriad browsers and devices with such flexibility. With a simple user interface and wide variety of real-device as well as virtual testing environments, I can effortlessly evaluate compatibility as well as performance of my applications. It saves me the hassle to build numerous local environments for each application variant out there; all that time I used to waste setting up these is now at disposal building better products. Ease-of-changeover in different configurations and simulating various scenarios really streamlines my development workflow. The fact that BrowserStack stays on top of ever-broadening browser/device landscape ensures that I deliver polished, flawless experiences to users; it’s something indispensable in my toolset.
What do you dislike about the product?
While BrowserStack undoubtedly provides an amazing, comprehensive testing platform that’s helped tremendously in my development workflow, one thing at least occasionally sorely lacking doing this process is the occasional inconsistency between virtual environments. While these instances occur relatively infrequently and tend to only represent a single device within a particular browser or otherwise virtually real environment, seeing laggy or unresponsive virtual device can be annoying especially if you’re working with simulating real-world user experiences across many browsers and devices. Despite this slight drawback however there remains no tool with which I could effectively test for compatibility/functionality of projects I work on without it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
BrowserStack is a huge tool within my dev workflow because of the hard problem it solves: cross-browser compatibility testing. As a developer, I am always having to struggle with how time-consuming manually checking my applications on different browsers and kind of devices is. With BrowserStack there have been such a vast offering of real devices as well as virtual browsers that help me easily test out what I am producing within all sorts of environments. These not only save me so much time but also make for a much better quality and consistency deliverables from me. Bolstered by an incredibly user-friendly interface and a seamless integration with my existing tools, BrowserStack has truly raised the bar for my development efficiency. Allowing me to focus more on creating great user experiences rather than worrying about compatibility bugs.

BrowserStack:A Powerful and Reliable Tool for Mobile responsive and Automation Testing

  • August 24, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
BrowserStack is a great tool for mobile responsive testing. I used to rely on Chrome dev tools, but they were not very accurate or reliable for real device testing. Then, my colleagues introduced me to BrowserStack and I was amazed by its features and performance. BrowserStack helped me increase my customer conversion and catch those minor bugs that other simulators missed. It also has a wide range of devices and browsers to choose from, so I can test my website on any platform I want.

Now, I am using BrowserStack for automation purposes as well. I am learning how to write and run Selenium scripts on BrowserStack cloud and view the results on the dashboard. I want to explore more of its capabilities and see how it can help me improve my testing efficiency and quality from the customer perspective. BrowserStack is a must-have tool for any web developer or tester who wants to deliver a flawless user experience.
What do you dislike about the product?
I am impressed by how easy and fast it is to test my website on various mobile devices and browsers remotely.

However, there is one issue that I am facing and I would like to suggest an improvement to the BrowserStack developers. I wish there was a session saving feature in the cloud-based platform, so that I don’t have to create the same test sessions every time I want to test the mobile responsiveness of my website for every release. It would be nice if I could save my preferred devices and browsers in a profile or a bookmark, and then access them with one click whenever I need to test. This would save me a lot of time and hassle, and make my testing experience more convenient and efficient.

I hope this feedback reaches the BrowserStack team and they consider adding this feature in the future. I think it would make BrowserStack even more awesome and user-friendly. Thank you for creating such a wonderful tool for web/mobile testing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With BrowserStack, I can test my website on any platform I want, and view the results on the dashboard. BrowserStack also helps me improve my testing quality and efficiency by supporting automation testing with Selenium. I can write and run Selenium scripts on BrowserStack cloud using Python, and integrate them with BrowserStack platform easily. BrowserStack also provides me with a lot of tutorials and examples on how to use Selenium with its platform.

BrowserStack benefits me by helping me increase my customer conversion and deliver a flawless user experience. It also provides me with a high level of security and reliability

BrowserStack has truly been a savior for us as far as smooth cross-browser testing is concerned. The fact that it spans such a wide range of browsers and device types, coupled with its consistent performance makes it an invaluable tool we can’t live without. Add to this the ease with which it integrates into our CI/CD pipelines – really just made our workflow better! I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending it either!

Most convenient solution for browser testing

  • August 22, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
What I like about BrowserStack is its simplicity and convenience. The developers knew exactly what testers needs while doing a browser test. The best feature about it is that I can simultaneously switch the devices within an ongoing session, even between mobile and web devices!
What do you dislike about the product?
Although there is almost nothing dislikable in BrowserStack the 1 minute limitation for free users is a bit frustrating. I understand that this should not be a free solution but a minute is not enough just to get a gist of the solution. If the webpage is slow it might take that time to load only. Other competitive solutions around offer at least 3-5 mins of trial sessions.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I work in the support section of an AI-based company and our web applications need to be tested throughout the devices. With the fast-changing nature of the web and the browser, our application needs to stay updated always in order to avoid any negative experience for the client. BrowserStack helps me solve this by giving me a platform where I can seamlessly test the application.

Best Software for Browsing Testing

  • August 22, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
BrowserStack has been an invaluable resource for me as a developer, providing complete cross-browser compatibility across all available browsers. The abundance of features in BrowserStack streamlines testing and empowers developers to deliver exceptional web experiences. The extensive selection of actual devices and browsers that can be tested is a notable aspect. By offering an immediate access to a diverse range of devices, operating systems, and browser versions, BrowserStack can provide me with realistic simulations of how my websites or web applications will operate across different platforms. The diversity of testing environments has significantly decreased the likelihood of bugs and glitches being concealed.
The platform's user interface is designed to be easy to navigate and perform tests for both novice and experienced developers. This makes it an excellent choice for testing purposes. The testing environment's user-friendly interface, including gestures and touch controls on mobile devices, is something I find appealing. This is a more comprehensive level of interactivity than any other testing tool I have. The ability to test websites hosted locally is another noteworthy feature. In conclusion, BrowserStack has become an indispensable tool in my web development workflow. Its extensive device and browser coverage, intuitive interface, support for local testing, and automated testing capabilities have saved me time and helped me deliver high-quality web projects consistently.
What do you dislike about the product?
I've had an overall positive experience with the platform. While BrowserStack offers an impressive array of features that greatly enhance my development process, there is one aspect that I find slightly lacking: user management. The user management system in BrowserStack, although functional, could benefit from some enhancements. As a team lead working on multiple projects, I often need to manage access and permissions for different team members. Currently, the user management interface feels a bit basic and lacks the level of granularity I would prefer.
For instance, I would appreciate the ability to assign specific projects or testing environments to individual team members, allowing for a more tailored and controlled testing experience. Additionally, having the ability to set different levels of permissions, such as read-only access or limited device/browser usage, would add an extra layer of flexibility in managing team collaboration. Furthermore, while the overall user interface of BrowserStack is intuitive, I've found that the user management section could be more streamlined and user-friendly. A more visually appealing and easy-to-navigate interface would contribute to a smoother experience when configuring user access and permissions.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
BrowserStack is solving a multitude of challenges that web developers and QA professionals commonly face when striving to deliver high-quality web experiences across various browsers, devices, and operating systems. One of the primary challenges in web development is ensuring consistent performance and appearance across a wide range of browsers. BrowserStack provides instant access to real devices and browsers, enabling me to test my projects comprehensively. This has drastically reduced the risk of issues arising on specific browsers or devices after deployment. With the ever-expanding variety of devices, operating systems, and browser versions in use today, manually acquiring and managing all these configurations for testing can be impractical. BrowserStack's vast collection of virtual machines and real devices allows me to simulate an extensive array of user experiences without the need to own or maintain physical devices, saving time and resources. dentifying and addressing bugs and glitches in web applications can be time-consuming. BrowserStack's interactive testing environment lets me closely examine issues, replicate user interactions, and debug effectively. This has sped up the debugging process and ensured smoother launches.
