Nice cloud based multi browser testing service

What do you like best about the product?
For me BrowserStack is a great browser testing platform that is easy to use and affordable but it's meant for more for web developer. It offers the possibility to test a wide range selection of devices and browsers on this cloud solution.
What do you dislike about the product?
Because BrowserStack is cloud based it can be slow depending of internet connection.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It allows me to try my websites, mobile apps on a lot of different devices without needing to buy them, and make sure it work as expected and assure good compatibility across old and new devices.

Collection of cloud devices for regressive testing

What do you like best about the product?
Browserstack helps to use selenium grid to test all cross browsers for web application. The platform is easy to understand, easy to navigate and easy to work with. For every upcoming feature they provide webinars and trainings. Implementing third party tools like selenium, Appium, pytest are even easier to work with. Deployment or implementation can be done in multiple layers like SIT, UAT, PROD. So for all layers it can be deployed and can be useful for validation also. The strong customer service or support drives users to buy the service.
What do you dislike about the product?
While using frequently for mobile application testing, the performance goes down with the time. Even some browsers shows the same. For pretty expensive service this performance issue can't be tolerated.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
While using browserstack for testing web applications we can use selenium grid for targeting multiple devices for testing the acceptability and responsiveness of the application. Jenkins , is a game changer for the entire platform, as no other platform supports Jenkins for test automation. The Cost we pay for this platform is worth it when we can see the reduction in testing time, cost and efforts , especially manual effort.

An overall good product for QA teams with small device inventories

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It has a wide range of devices and OS versions, ideal for validation testing, especially when trying to replicate Client-reported bugs. It's intuitive and easy to use, and 90% of the times the loading times are almost immediate, like having the device right in your hand. The local testing is also a nice addition that works flawlessly for debugging. The user management is instantaneous and worked great when onboarding freelancers and later removing them.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes devices crash during their loading and it becomes very painful to troubleshoot. Also, iOS devices do not support the "Tab" key, so switching from Android to iOS when needing to input site credentials feels annoying. The screen recording feature is nice, but the videos it outputs are not the highest quality and are quite heavy in contrast to other tools.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We keep all out devices with the latest software, so when we need to validate older versions, BrowserStack is our savior. It also allows QA testers to work from home without needing to access physical devices that are stored at the office.

What do you like best about the product?
I love being able to use so many different systems and device models for my QA testing. It's extremely valuable.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes we find bugs on personal devices that we do not find on the *supposedly* real devices on Browserstack, shaking our faith in the system. It's also quite slow sometimes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I mostly use it to test new sites before they go to production. The local testing allows me to use my VPN and check preview/draft sites on multiple browsers and devices. It's very very useful in that regard

Excellent range of devices to test, slightly held back by occasional technical issues

  • August 30, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The range of devices is outstanding - browserstack saves us from having to spend thousands on various phones and tablets to test on, and also allows us to test niche combos without having to physically find (and then buy) these devices.
What do you dislike about the product?
The dev tools are often buggy, particularly on Apple devices - dev tools cutting off the elements after a certain number of them are shown, styles panel not working as expected etc.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Browserstack allows us to test our websites on a huge variety of devices without us having to physically acquire them all.

User experience about browser stack after using it for 2 years

  • August 30, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Choice and the selection of latest devices for testing available in market. THe feasibility of testing in different devices at a time which includes IOS and anroid models.
What do you dislike about the product?
Browserstack does not support Accessiblity testing on devices which makes user to get a physical device which in turn can also reduce the business for cross browser testing as well.
Making it accessibiloty complaint will help all.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Software testing is done smoothly which benifits us in time management and productivity increases. we are yet to test the application after actual go live which will help us to know the real feed back
