  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
BrowserStacks support team is amazing, always thinking from the customers perspective. The App Live and App Automate features are incredible for testing mobile apps. Setting up and connecting with existing Cypress tests is much faster, thanks to their easy-to-integrate API.
What do you dislike about the product?
The learning curve can be steep and overwhelming, especially for newcomers due to the the lack of Cypress 10 support. It also Lags during multiple tests. It has higher pricing compared to competitors and most often, bugs occure with no specific fix timeline.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
BrowserStack solves the issue of time-consuming and costly setup of an in-house browser/device grid. It provides a large pool of devices and browsers, allowing us to focus on actual testing. It works seamlessly on cloud CICD, making it easy to execute and monitor tests.

Practical and intuitive tool for testing mobile apps

  • July 19, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love the flexibility and integrations it offers, making our testing process seamless. The browser extensions make coding easier and the in-house support is great. With BrowserStack, we can access real devices quickly and the user experience is fantastic.
What do you dislike about the product?
Limited video streaming from device cameras restricts testing options and comparing video quality. The local re-route plugin occasionally fails, causing frustration. Products not being open source is a downside.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps us troubleshoot and verify bugs before release, ensuring a successful product by allowing us to test applications on various devices, saving us time and money. This improves customers user experience and helps make our product better overall.

Intuitive and easy to use software

  • July 19, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
BrowserStack is an awesome tool with extensive range of devices. Testing on numerous physical devices without actually buying them is amazing! Its so intuitive and easy to use. Testing everywhere is just a few clicks away! The hassle of multiple devices is over.
What do you dislike about the product?
Using the inspect in browser can sometimes glitch, and the browser in BrowserStack tends to be slower than a real-time machine. Browserstack should introduce more affordable plans for freelancers and small business owners.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We can test changes on different devices, solving the issue of limited device pool in our QA team. This benefits our business by enabling us to test on almost any phone without having to buy one. This makes our QA works much faster.

Easiest option in multi-platform testing

  • July 18, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Browserstack has an extensive list of testing options for both apps and web services. The ability to upload apps for testing and automation makes chosing BrowserStack an easy choice.
What do you dislike about the product?
BroswerStack is pretty expensive when it comes to automation seats. Running automation for apps can increase the costs pretty quickly as each thread costs a decent amoutn of money. Also, while the integration with testflight and google play stores are interesting, the reality that you are logging in via a web portal to a physical device somewhere else in the world does not instill the most secure feelings.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have a small team and having a huge amount of mobile devices for testing allows for greater confidence in our ability to push confident code to production for our users.

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Notifying us for any unintended visual changes, before it gets merged into the develop branch.
What do you dislike about the product?
Since we mainly just use browserstack for percy, there is nothing to dislike.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Allows us to easily do a visual comparison of many pages of our application and receive feedback immediately.

Great for Visual Testing

  • July 18, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I was using percy for visual testing and it has fulfilled our requirement of what we were trying to achieve for visual testing.
We have all the level of test in place and were only looking for something who can aid us in visual comparasion. It seems percy has filled the void.
In short , its the one stop solution for all visual related needs and i am happy to recommend it to different users.
What do you dislike about the product?
Using browserstack for few years now and lately working on the visual testing.Didn't find any downside yet
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We were trying to have a visual testing solution in place and BrowserStack's percy was a perfect fit in our ecosystem.

Very fluid and easy to use web app

  • July 18, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The inspect element and the network tab are amazing. Also the fact you can control how good the network is.
What do you dislike about the product?
The lack of fields available with integrations from apps like gitlab. No description fields available so it's hard to see when you're pushing builds the differences.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Emulating number of devices with ease without actual devices. Setting up the foundations of automation with the availability of network/inspect element info.

A useful tool for cross browser testing

  • July 17, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like that BrowserStack offers a wide range of real devices and browsers to test on. This allows me to test my website or mobile app on a variety of platforms and ensure that it works properly for all users.

I also like that BrowserStack is easy to use. I can simply upload my website or mobile app to BrowserStack and start testing. There are also a number of features that make it easy to find and fix bugs, such as the ability to record and playback sessions.

I'm confident that my website or mobile app will be tested on a reliable platform because BrowserStack is a reliable platform that has been used by many major companies.

I like that BrowserStack offers a variety of pricing plans to suit different budgets. This means that I can find a plan that fits my needs without breaking the bank.

Overall, I think BrowserStack is a great platform for cross-browser testing. It's easy to use, reliable, and affordable. I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a way to test their website or mobile app on a variety of platforms.
What do you dislike about the product?
The pricing can be expensive for some teams. I think the pricing for BrowserStack is fair, but it can be expensive for some teams. If you're on a tight budget, you may want to consider a different platform.

The platform can be slow at times. I've found that BrowserStack can be slow at times, especially during peak hours. This can be frustrating if you're trying to test your website or mobile app quickly.

The free trial is limited to 1 minute of testing time. 10 minutes would be great.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps me see how my blogs look in different browsers and on different devices. If I see that my blogs look improperly in certain browsers or on certain devices, I can make necessary changes.

UI is a little slow. I was able to catch a number of bugs before pushing to prod.

  • July 17, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
BrowerStack is amazing with the number of devices and operating systems it has to offer. I was able to find a number of bugs our product went live. I was able to attend a couple of sessions that BrowerStack offered to the public and learn a decent amount of shortcuts that has made my engineering job a lot easier.
What do you dislike about the product?
The UI is a bit slow. Sharing licenses with co-workers can be a bit challenging.
One of the things I do not like (which I think is hard to change) is that testing in, say iPhone 8, can sometimes be a completely different experience compared to testing in say, iPhone 12. This forces me to test across multiple version of operating systems. I wish there's a way where we can test multiple versions at once without the need to do the same thing twice.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We rebuilt one of our web applications and hoping the experience is as close to the previous one as possible. BrowserStack allows us to compare the live version with staging and we were able to catch a number of bugs with it.
