Browserstack to test multiple browsers
What do you like best about the product?
Used it for handling testing in multiple browsers and it is comparatively easy to test with minimum changes.
What do you dislike about the product?
Never got a chance to automate on browserstack.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have used it to test app in multiple browsers but soon we would start to automate steps.
Useful for cross browser testing but hides errors
What do you like best about the product?
Browserstack is great for cross browser testing. It supports all the major browsers and their latest version. It also offers the ability to do local testing with the network sharing feature, which allows developers to test their work on different browsers using the local development environment.
What do you dislike about the product?
I’ve found that Browserstack can be flakey when it reaches the maximum number of running nodes. Also, the error thrown in that case is not really indicative of the problem, and it can be rather confusing (typical error in this case is the “Connection refused. Is selenium server started?”)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Cross browser automated and manual testing, on all major browsers and their latest versions.
BrowserStack Review
What do you like best about the product?
I like that you can test on some of the most current mobile devices on both Android and iPhone. Not only can you test on some of the most current devices, but you are also testing on a "real" device, not just a simulation or virtual machine. The interfaces on the mobile devices simulate the real phone and add to the authenticity of it.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are random connection drop outs, which will end the session you are using. This is very frustrating because if you were multiple steps/layers deep into testing something on that mobile device/browser you will loose all of your progress and have to restart. I also don't like that it times out all of the time, which once again makes you loose your progress.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Browserstacks to test on some of the web browsers that are not accessible on our computers or are outdated browsers that customers still use. Also being able to test on numerous mobile devices and browsers within those devices allows us to test our mobile website from multiple views, which is a great help.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
This is a great tool for testing your services/products on some of the most common web browsers in different operating system environments and on different mobile devices and tablets. The program is easy to use and navigate.
It Can be Finicky, but It Works
What do you like best about the product?
I like the fact that all the browsers I need to look at are in one place. Makes it quick to switch from one to another.
What do you dislike about the product?
Browserstack often doesn't cooperate. It has trouble finding a local network and will close out without notice. It is also slow to respond to a click, but what can you expect from a browser inside of a browser?
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to test layout and functionality in multiple browsers for our multiple websites.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It is definitely worth it to be able to see what your end user sees when it comes to layout and design changes. It also allows you to check multiple devices without needing the physical ones right in front of you.
Crossbrowser testing capability
What do you like best about the product?
Multiple browser options in different operating systems
What do you dislike about the product?
Connection speed relatively slow. Dont have wide range of devices
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Capability of cross browser testing to test our applications.
Easy emulator for all things web browser and mobile
What do you like best about the product?
Almost any browser or mobile device is available to test with, with the most up-to-date versions of each.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is a little slow on the network and does crash from time to time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to test many browsers and mobile devices that we simply do not have physical access to test with. To be able to test as many use cases as possible, even without the physical devices is very nice.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are looking for an all-around comprehensive tool to emulate websites across virtually any browser or mobile device, this is your number one tool.
