Experience with BrowserStack

  • June 16, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The most useful thing about BrowserStack is having a wide variety of devices and the ability to use multiple devices at the same time.
What do you dislike about the product?
What I don't like about BrowserStack is that the installation of applications subject to testing often fails, and I often have to reinstall them.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The ease with which one can have multiple devices always involves a high initial cost when a company requires a mobile device farm.

Great for understanding end users' front end experiences

  • June 16, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
BrowserStack is extremely helpful for achieving a "true" view of a webpage, without the interference or influence of third-party browser plugins, firewalls, or internal caching issues. You can view your webpage live on a variety of devices and web browsers, with multiple version options for each to confirm backwards compatibility. It's a great tool for understanding what your end user's front end web experience is like.
What do you dislike about the product?
Can run into firewall issues that prevent the browser view from loading on certain wifi networks--this is very company-specific, though, and likely outside of Browserstack's control. However, it can lead to difficulty loading the Browserstack browser view on some networks.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Here at WSFS Bank, we have a lot of internal security measures (ie, firewalls) set up on our work networks. There are obviously practical purposes for this, but it can lead to internal caching issues that can make it difficult for the Web Team to see the same thing end users are seeing on the front end when changes or updates are made to our websites. BrowserStack is a great tool for us web developers to see an "unfiltered" view of the website without our internal systems affecting that experience. Using BrowserStack, we can reliably view web sites the same way our end users are, allowing us to design more insightfully, aligned with the true user experience.

Great tool for checking search results in the various countries that we operate in

  • June 16, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
BrowserStack is a useful tool for our team as we run ads on Bing and Google in multiple countries around the world (UK, Ireland, France, Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, Australia, New Zealand) and BrowserStack allows us to see how our ads look and check that they're showing when we search for certain phrases in different countries. It is pretty easy to use. We use it a few times a month to check our ads are showing and see how they look and also to view competitors' ads in other countries. The 'bug catcher' and 'accessibility insights' are also useful tools though I don't use these as often in my role (they are used more often by our SEO team). I haven't had any issues so haven't needed to use Customer Support. I also haven't integrated it with other tools, though I do like the fact I can search for results on a variety of Browsers (i.e., Chrome and Explorer/Bing).
What do you dislike about the product?
The only downsides I have encountered thus far is that it can be slow to load results and to toggle between browsers and countries. They also send too many marketing emails in my opinion.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
BrowserStack allows us to see how our Search ads and Shopping ads look on the SERP in different countries all over the world, as well as seeing how our website looks when accessing it from an IP address in another country. This helps us to identify problems - e.g., if our ads aren't showing for certain keywords that we're bidding on, we can identify this using BrowerStack and then raise it with the support team at Google or Bing.

User Management

  • June 16, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Easy to manage users, security, and default settings.
What do you dislike about the product?
How to grant admin access without having to take a license? We want to ensure User management is separate from user access.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our Dev team use it for cloud and mobile testing for our product. It do not benefit me specifically but it does help with the business.

Essential for remote worker QA

  • June 16, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Since I work remotely, I don't have access to a million devices to QA on. Browserstack helps me eliminate the need to amass every new phone, tablet, or desktop operating system. A huge amount of QA can be done from just my laptop, knowing it's not just simulated inaccurately.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it can take a while to load a device, sometimes not even loading and I have to come back. I don't know if that's just the price of having to connect to a real device though.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Having to keep up with every new device coming out, their different viewport widths and heights, every new operating system update, can be a job on its own. Through Browserstack I can just start testing on every latest device and operating system.

Assistek Testing with BrowserStack

  • June 16, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Browser stack allows us to test our application on real devices in a live setting. Our application relies on some core features in the iOS and Anroid OS and to truly test we need to use real devices.
What do you dislike about the product?
The UI was a little confusing, and we had difficulties getting the appstore logged in on iOS.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Determining how the responsive display of the application works on as many different device types and sizes as possible.

Browserstack : Only the name is enough

  • June 16, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
My favourite tool is Live testing. I can really test on devices that i dont have access to normally and i know 95% the time that i can believe in those virtual devices.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think its the cost for me. If you need something less than 50 users, it is expensive.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I check my builds on different devices with Live testing and it is helping me alot. Since i cant have all the devices and its very costly to have physical device.
Browserstack helps me with that.

Reliable cross-browser testing made simple

  • June 16, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
BrowserStack makes cross-browser and cross-device testing incredibly seamless. I can quickly test responsive design, legacy browser compatibility, and device-specific quirks without the hassle of maintaining an in-house device lab. It’s particularly valuable in fast-paced digital projects where time and accuracy matter. The platform feels intuitive, and real device testing provides confidence that what we ship will work for our end users.
What do you dislike about the product?
While the core features are solid, I occasionally find that session performance can lag slightly when testing older mobile devices, and automated test set-up can take a little while to get used to without strong documentation. A few more integrations with project management tools would also be helpful. That said, these are minor compared to the overall value it brings.

A few things to consider in your review (you may reference these explicitly or weave them into the text):

Ease of Use: Very easy for manual testers and QA teams to get up and running

Ease of Implementation: Straightforward; required minimal onboarding

Customer Support: Responsive, though usually only needed for rare technical hiccups

Frequency of Use: Weekly use in a project management capacity to support front-end teams

Number of Features: Covers all essential test cases across browsers, devices, and operating systems

Ease of Integration: Works well with GitHub and CI/CD pipelines
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
BrowserStack eliminates the need to maintain an in-house suite of physical devices or set up complex virtual testing environments. As a technical project manager working across multiple digital products, I rely on BrowserStack to give teams quick access to a wide range of browsers and devices, ensuring a consistent experience for users regardless of their platform. It’s helped reduce post-release issues, increased stakeholder confidence, and sped up our testing cycles considerably.

Easy to use but lacking in some areas

  • June 16, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
the accessibility scan is easy to use and gives good insight. But I think there are 2 areas need improvement, one of them is reporting. I think excel sheet is not a way to report. I think it should create a report with a screenshot and the issue next to it ( a presentation) the second thing, I think sometimes it misses some issues which I only notice when I manual check.
I love figma plugin as well. easy to use but not checking the image contrast unfortunately.
What do you dislike about the product?
I can't say dislike but figma plugin not checking the image contrast and scan missing important points are the areas that really needs to be fixed.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I can have an idea of the scale of the problem whether we have loads of issues or not much so from scan- I can have this idea
Mobile app testing- testing from testflight is such an amazing feature! Howeer I can only test in some phones only.
So it helps me to define the accessibility issues and a good guidance for how to solve these issues.
