A real find for testing different mobile features

  • August 09, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Sometimes only using the real device can show me does the feature that we develop works or not. For example, the share button feature uses `navigator.share` and we cannot test in lets say in desktop chrome with mobile view.
What do you dislike about the product?
Maybe I don't like the time limitations for testing on different desktop OS, even if I have paid account, or the fact that sometimes copy-and-paste feature does not work well on different smartphones (mostly on android smartphones)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
BS helps me to test all the most used user devices without having them near me, it's a pretty awesome ability. Also, it helps me to catch different behavior on different smartphones (bugs) before the release.

Invaluable tool in an ever-changing arena

What do you like best about the product?
Browserstack stays up to date with the various device types and operating system versions so I don't have to. Because they don't rely on second-rate emulations, I can test with confidence using Browserstack, which saves me time, my company money, and a whole mess of headache.
What do you dislike about the product?
It times out really fast. Often when I'm testing, I'll need to refer back to documentation to ensure test coverage. Sometimes, by the time I've returned to the test, my session has expired. This isn't insurmountable though, since most progress is saved.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's always a struggle getting a company to pay out hundreds or even thousands of dollars for a fleet of current mobile devices, and Chrome dev tools can only get you so far in mobile testing. Browserstack bridges that gap perfectly by allowing me to do extensive cross-browser and -device testing without having to have a cabinet full of devices.

What do you like best about the product?
Browser stack support wide range of devices and browsers for rapid development and testing application within a large team. One of the best feature about browser stack is that they provide local environment for testing which increase productivity for development team.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing as such. There is limited free trail option and Pricing is bit higher for small scale teams.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's helping our team to develop application much faster and involving multiple teams to test and provide feedback so that we catch bugs in early phase of development.

Best tool for cross device testing

  • August 04, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The best thing about BrowserStack is honestly how they show you a real representation of the site you're testing. The local testing tool is the best thing I've ever seen and I can't overstate how useful it is. The selection of devices and browsers, old and new, are also just incredible. I really appreciate the freelancer plan as well.

I don't always need BrowserStack, but when I do it's always my first choice.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it feels like the shift key gets stuck? Also occasionally the stream quality isn't great. That's really all the complaints I have.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It saves me from buying an iPhone and a Mac, which is just an absolute blessing. The local testing tool also helps with speed, and saves on setting up a staging site just for a quick test.

Best Tool for Web Based Testing

  • August 03, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Browserstack offers cross browser and multiple device testing, which is very easy to use. And at the same time it allows us to use 2 devices simultaneously which almost reduces half of your time in device testing.
What do you dislike about the product?
1 Major drawback is that the browserstack logs out of the testing while verifying on the devices. And for password protected sites it asks credentials for everytime we check on different browsers, as it's asking for URL globally same way it can be done for credentials too.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use browserstack for cross browser testing for web application. Instead of using multiple platform and using multiple devices, browserstack offers all under one roof.

Essential tool for easy cross-device website testing

  • August 02, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
BrowserStack offers a large number of diverse devices and browsers that I can access remotely to test my client's websites without owning any of those devices myself. This saves time, money and hassle.
What do you dislike about the product?
Remote testing does not provide the exact user experience that I would get when holding an actual device in my own hands, but I still prefer their service over obtaining and handling various actual devices.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a web developer, I want to make sure that my clients' websites are accessible, usable and adhere to the corporate / web design on any or all popular devices and browsers. I can't and I don't want to own, maintain and handle such a large amount of various devices as a freelancer or in a small company. I have been working in a company that did own a lot of test devices for many years which was useful and fun to use, but BrowserStack's online service is much more convenient and saves me time and money.

What do you like best about the product?
For the past 6 months, I have had the pleasure of utilizing BrowserStack's services, and I must say, it has completely transformed the way I approach cross-browser testing.

One of the standout features of BrowserStack is its extensive selection of real browsers and devices available for testing. With just a few clicks, we can effortlessly test the website across a wide array of browsers, operating systems, and devices, ensuring optimal compatibility and functionality. The convenience of having real devices at my fingertips, without the need for physical hardware or virtual machines, has drastically reduced testing time and increased my productivity.

The platform's live interactive testing is an absolute game-changer. I can seamlessly interact with the website in real-time, mimicking the user experience on different browsers and devices. This feature has been instrumental in identifying and resolving issues promptly, leading to faster development cycles and overall project efficiency, not to mention improving the overall experience of the website to potential visitors.

Additionally, BrowserStack's automated testing capabilities have become an indispensable part of our testing toolkit. By automating repetitive testing tasks, we can focus on more critical aspects of my development process, knowing that our website is being thoroughly tested across various environments.

Another aspect that sets BrowserStack apart is its intuitive user interface. Navigating through the platform is a breeze, and even users new to cross-browser testing will find it easy to get started. The platform's well-organized layout, coupled with comprehensive documentation and customer support, ensures that users can maximize its potential without any hassle. In some cases, there may be slowness, but this is rare and in most cases hardly noticeable.

BrowserStack's commitment to staying up-to-date with the latest browsers and operating systems is commendable. The timely addition of new browser versions and support for the latest devices ensures that my projects are always up to date, delivering the best user experience across the board.

In conclusion, BrowserStack is a true game-changer for developers, offering an unmatched range of testing options, a seamless user experience, and outstanding customer support. It has revolutionized my cross-browser testing workflow, saving us much time, effort, and resources. I wholeheartedly recommend BrowserStack to any company or developer seeking a reliable and comprehensive solution for cross-browser testing.
What do you dislike about the product?
I haven't encountered anything negative in particular. In some cases, there may be slowness, but this is rare and, in most cases, hardly noticeable. You can solve this problem by disconnecting and reconnecting to the same device.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In order to ensure that our website is working as expected on both new and old devices, as well as on different operating systems, we were looking for a tool to help us achieve this goal.
