What do you dislike about the product?
The new plan for Browserstack is more expensive than the old plan.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We don't need to build the browser lab for our QA team to test our web applications after we have BrowserStack. this is a huge budget save for us.
Cross-platform testing made simple - having dev tools available across all devices is a dream!
What do you like best about the product?
Excellent support for local testing - the process is extemely quick and easy to set up without any messing around. You can be testing localhost dev versions of a site in less than a minute. It's now a frequent part of my development workflow.
Able to use Chrome dev tools across a range of devices and browsers. Especially useful for iOS devices, where it's otherwise impossible to inspect site elements and deployed CSS without connecting it to a Mac. Having the choice between Safari and Chrome dev tools is great too, since it means I can use the same dev tools everywhere and not waste time re-learning different layouts.
Large range of REAL devices. Emulated testing can never be relied on in the same way, so having access to real physical devices that go back multiple generations and can be accessed almost instantly can't be underestimated.

What do you dislike about the product?
Not all devices seem to offer options for all browser versions. In particular, I noticed that iPad 9th gen only offers iOS version 15. Although it's possible to select a different iPad generation and test a different iOS version that way, viewport sizes and aspect ratios do vary between iPad generations, and I wanted to be absolutely certain that my site would display a certain way on iOS 17, with the iPad 9th gen viewport size.
However, these situations are edge cases and are generally few and far between.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Front-end development targeting multiple devices can be a nightmare to test. My normal development workflow involves heavy use of browser dev tools to inspect elements and adjust CSS on the fly, but without a tool like Browserstack that isn't easy to do. While it is possible on Android and iOS, it involves linking the device to a computer, which in the case of iOS specifically has to be a Mac.
I don't use a Mac, but iOS devices are key targets for our company's apps and websites, so being able to inspect, test and experiment with styling on those devices through dev tools is invaluable.
Browserstack also allows me to test websites and apps on a much larger range of devices, OS versions and browsers than I would be able to do if I was using the physical devices our dev department has access to.

What do you like best about the product?
Makes it simple to test backwards compatibility of new features and to identify bugs.
What do you dislike about the product?
Speed for manual testings could be improved.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We need to ensure our SaaS webapp works across various platforms. In addition, we sometimes get error reports from users on very old browser version. So instead of having to find and install numerous outdated browser versions, we can just go to broweserstack.
Helpful at each step
What do you like best about the product?
I love the variety of devices and systems that I can use. It is very easy to use, even for someone who hasn't had a tool like that in their hands. I use I often when customers are reporting issues that happen only on certain devices.
What do you dislike about the product?
The slowness of the application, devs tools (new feature) take minutes to be turned on an m1 machine with a great internet connection.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I do not need to have dozen devices or VMs. It is slow but still faster than installing a VM and surely the cheapest option to test on a device - VMs are usually more expensive or you need a license to purchase Windows when you're on Linux - with Borwserstack that is not a problem.
BroswerStack Review
What do you like best about the product?
BrowserStack is pretty nifty because it allows testing across various browsers and devices without needing to set up each environment individually. Its ease of use and the ability to simulate different user experiences across platforms is definitely a highlight. Plus, its cloud-based infrastructure makes it convenient for developers and testers to collaborate and ensure compatibility across a wide range of setups.
What do you dislike about the product?
BrowserStack offers a lot of great features, but it might not fit every need perfectly. Some users have mentioned that the pricing structure can become expensive, especially for smaller teams or individual developers. Also, occasionally, there might be limitations in terms of specific device or browser configurations, which might require additional workarounds or compromises. Overall, while it's a powerful tool, it might not cover every possible scenario or configuration.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
BrowserStack primarily solves the challenge of cross-browser and cross-device compatibility testing. In the realm of web development, ensuring that a website or application looks and functions correctly across different browsers (like Chrome, Firefox, Safari, etc.) and devices (desktop, mobile, tablets) is crucial. BrowserStack's platform allows developers and testers to easily access various browser and device configurations without needing physical access to each setup. This streamlines the testing process, saves time, and helps catch potential issues early, resulting in a smoother and more consistent user experience. For me, it's beneficial because it simplifies the testing phase and helps ensure the product I'm working on is accessible and functional across different platforms.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
to be able to test different devices and operating systems
You kick off tests and Jenkins/BrowserStack takes care of the rest
What do you like best about the product?
They support multiple browsers, multiple devices etc. So when you need to run tests overnight against multiple os, multiple types of browsers, BrowserStack is your friend. I can just look at the results next day. Also, you can just spin up a browser or a device and test things. There is enough documentation for usage of their system programmatically.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes, it can be hard to find tests.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We need to have our applications run against multiple browsers, multiple operating systems.
Best Tool for Testers!!
What do you like best about the product?
I like this tool because this brilliant tool allows me to performe Mobile App (IOS, Android applications) and Website (Cross Broswer, Responsive) testing in one place.
What do you dislike about the product?
My only concern for this tool is cost because the competitors (Lambda test and SauceLabs) in the market are more cost effective.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a tester I needed a tool where i could perform both mobile apps and web apps testing. And browserstack has solved my problem, with this i can test IOS+Android applications for mobile apps and can also perform crossbrowser testing for web apps.
