test in different peripheral environments all in one place with BrowserStack!

  • January 05, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
They use real devices rather than emulators or simulators, significantly improving our test coverage. Since we are testing sites and how they compare to our site builder, I love that I can try from a vast array of real devices from my desktop.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish we could test sites on our company VPN, which isn't possible. Additionally, sometimes there is a delay in updating the latest devices for testing. I hope that VPN testing can be supported soon.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We can test on real devices and check out features that our website builder currently cannot render. It helps us test in similar environments to recreate our users' issues.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Testing builds manually. Observer different types of functionality of the app.

What do you like best about the product?
The performance of the BrowserStack devices and browsers. love the parallel execution in Browserstack. I used to run the 10 parallel runs from Pipelines
What do you dislike about the product?
The price of the tool is very expensive. That's all the cons
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our application is developed on both iOS and Android platforms. We will validate 1000+ test cases in cloud platform and that helps manual team alot.

Great test farm

  • January 04, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Large variety of devices. Excellent availability.
What do you dislike about the product?
With any hosted device farm there are some limitations (for example, testing things with the camera, or with wi-fi disabled, or very long running tests aren't really feasible.) But I don't think BrowserStack could do anything about that.

They charge extra for SAML; IMHO that is evil but many companies do it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Lets me test on a much larger variety of devices than I could ever possibly acquire myself.

Indispensable tool on any app I've ever built, even if "laggy" at times.

What do you like best about the product?
Our team uses browser stack mainly as a manual testing tool when developing web interfaces.

I appreciate how easy it is to set up local testing using the Browserstack Desktop App.

On top of that, most smartphones are actual devices.
I always feel more confident in the test results when I'm not using virtualised devices.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the responsiveness is inconsistent when testing.
When firing up a new session, I'm not guaranteed to get "snappy" interactions.

I can only assume the cause for this input delay.
However, as a customer, I should be provided clear information on the causes of "slow sessions" and possible solutions to prevent them.
Sadly, this has not been my experience.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
App Live helps us manually test our new features and bug fixes and identify any issues before any new code reaches production.

The most significant benefit our development teams extract from BrowserStack is confidence before handing over features to our QA teams.

Complete and Reliable Tool for Browser Compatibility Testing

  • December 31, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
One of the main advantages of BrowserStack is that it allows developers to test their projects in a virtual environment, without the need for multiple physical devices or browser configurations. This can be especially useful for companies that don't have access to a wide range of devices, or those that need to test on specific browser configurations that are difficult to replicate in an on-premises environment.

In addition, BrowserStack offers a wide range of testing features, including automated testing, integration with project management tools, and detailed reporting. This allows developers to test and debug their projects more efficiently, saving time, effort and money.

Overall, BrowserStack is a complete and reliable tool for testing browser compatibility. It offers a wide range of devices and browsers to test on, as well as advanced testing features that help make the testing and debugging process more efficient. The bug catching function is certainly the most useful function.
What do you dislike about the product?
Browser limited: BrowserStack only tests browser compatibility, not the operating system or device itself. This means that if you want to test an app's compatibility across different operating systems or devices, you may need to use other tools.

Internet dependency: BrowserStack is cloud-based, which means you need an internet connection to use the service. This can be a disadvantage for those who need to test in offline environments or with an unstable connection.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Browser Compatibility: BrowserStack allows developers to test their projects on a wide range of devices and browsers, ensuring that they work correctly on different platforms. This helps us avoid compatibility issues that could affect your user experience and company reputation.

Productivity: With BrowserStack, developers automate their testing and integrate the service with project management tools, which can help increase the efficiency and productivity of our IT team.

Product Quality: BrowserStack provides detailed reports on test results, including screenshots and error information. This allows developers to quickly identify issues and fix them before releasing the product, which can increase the quality of the final product.

Scalability: BrowserStack is cloud-based, which means it's easy to add or remove devices and browsers as needed. This is helpful for our company, which needs to test products on different platforms as we grow and expand our user base.

Browserstack Live

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
In the project I'm currently working on, we must test our application on several different devices, including desktop, mobile and tablet, so that we can ensure a vast majority of our clients will be able to use the application without issues, regardless of device. This would be next to impossible if it were not for Browserstack. With Browserstack, we always have numerous devices always available, and we don't have to spend on purchasing devices that will be obsolete in a few years.
Besides, not only does Browserstack offer an extensive range of physical devices to test with, it's also possible to choose different versions of the same operating system, making it easy to check whether our project does indeed work on slightly older versions of the OS (as some users don't always upgrade to the newest version, or at least don't upgrade right away).
What do you dislike about the product?
Testing mobile devices in situations where we need a specific file or image can be tricky. Sometimes even downloading an image from Google can be difficult, as we don't have the same gestures that we use on a physical device available when testing on Browserstack on a desktop. This has been somewhat remedied by the Image Injection functionality, but it's still not as smooth as testing on desktop, and could be further expanded to include iPhones.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Testing with Browserstack Live diminishes our testing time (since it's effortless and quick to open and launch a device to test), and with that, we're able to spend more time actually finding bugs and testing than having to spend time configuring more complicated software. It's also important that Browserstack offers physical devices for us to test, rather than emulators, as it is the case with many competitors.

What it provides. Excellent service

What do you like best about the product?
its easy-to-use functionality features, it comes with endless possibilities for app improvement. An interesting and unique approach to this amazing niche of a service.
What do you dislike about the product?
i dont like the UI, because it looks a bit clunky. The ui could have a more simple apperance and work just as well if not better to create a easier use for the customer.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps me as a programer test for bugs in my apps and lets be test out new features on real devices which. i highly enjoy as a customer and a programmer that works in tech.
