What do you like best about the product?
BrowserStack has truly been a savior for us as far as smooth cross-browser testing is concerned. The fact that it spans such a wide range of browsers and device types, coupled with its consistent performance makes it an invaluable tool we can’t live without. Add to this the ease with which it integrates into our CI/CD pipelines – really just made our workflow better! I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending it either!
What do you dislike about the product?
BrowserStack is quite expensive, especially for smaller teams. Setting up local testing also can be a bit tricky. Getting the virtualized testing environment to match exactly real devices definitely depends on having a good internet connection.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The wide ranges of emulated devices and browsers that we can test our application on gives a real life satisfaction that can be really helpful at times

Most convenient solution for browser testing

  • August 22, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
What I like about BrowserStack is its simplicity and convenience. The developers knew exactly what testers needs while doing a browser test. The best feature about it is that I can simultaneously switch the devices within an ongoing session, even between mobile and web devices!
What do you dislike about the product?
Although there is almost nothing dislikable in BrowserStack the 1 minute limitation for free users is a bit frustrating. I understand that this should not be a free solution but a minute is not enough just to get a gist of the solution. If the webpage is slow it might take that time to load only. Other competitive solutions around offer at least 3-5 mins of trial sessions.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I work in the support section of an AI-based company and our web applications need to be tested throughout the devices. With the fast-changing nature of the web and the browser, our application needs to stay updated always in order to avoid any negative experience for the client. BrowserStack helps me solve this by giving me a platform where I can seamlessly test the application.

Best Software for Browsing Testing

  • August 22, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
BrowserStack has been an invaluable resource for me as a developer, providing complete cross-browser compatibility across all available browsers. The abundance of features in BrowserStack streamlines testing and empowers developers to deliver exceptional web experiences. The extensive selection of actual devices and browsers that can be tested is a notable aspect. By offering an immediate access to a diverse range of devices, operating systems, and browser versions, BrowserStack can provide me with realistic simulations of how my websites or web applications will operate across different platforms. The diversity of testing environments has significantly decreased the likelihood of bugs and glitches being concealed.
The platform's user interface is designed to be easy to navigate and perform tests for both novice and experienced developers. This makes it an excellent choice for testing purposes. The testing environment's user-friendly interface, including gestures and touch controls on mobile devices, is something I find appealing. This is a more comprehensive level of interactivity than any other testing tool I have. The ability to test websites hosted locally is another noteworthy feature. In conclusion, BrowserStack has become an indispensable tool in my web development workflow. Its extensive device and browser coverage, intuitive interface, support for local testing, and automated testing capabilities have saved me time and helped me deliver high-quality web projects consistently.
What do you dislike about the product?
I've had an overall positive experience with the platform. While BrowserStack offers an impressive array of features that greatly enhance my development process, there is one aspect that I find slightly lacking: user management. The user management system in BrowserStack, although functional, could benefit from some enhancements. As a team lead working on multiple projects, I often need to manage access and permissions for different team members. Currently, the user management interface feels a bit basic and lacks the level of granularity I would prefer.
For instance, I would appreciate the ability to assign specific projects or testing environments to individual team members, allowing for a more tailored and controlled testing experience. Additionally, having the ability to set different levels of permissions, such as read-only access or limited device/browser usage, would add an extra layer of flexibility in managing team collaboration. Furthermore, while the overall user interface of BrowserStack is intuitive, I've found that the user management section could be more streamlined and user-friendly. A more visually appealing and easy-to-navigate interface would contribute to a smoother experience when configuring user access and permissions.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
BrowserStack is solving a multitude of challenges that web developers and QA professionals commonly face when striving to deliver high-quality web experiences across various browsers, devices, and operating systems. One of the primary challenges in web development is ensuring consistent performance and appearance across a wide range of browsers. BrowserStack provides instant access to real devices and browsers, enabling me to test my projects comprehensively. This has drastically reduced the risk of issues arising on specific browsers or devices after deployment. With the ever-expanding variety of devices, operating systems, and browser versions in use today, manually acquiring and managing all these configurations for testing can be impractical. BrowserStack's vast collection of virtual machines and real devices allows me to simulate an extensive array of user experiences without the need to own or maintain physical devices, saving time and resources. dentifying and addressing bugs and glitches in web applications can be time-consuming. BrowserStack's interactive testing environment lets me closely examine issues, replicate user interactions, and debug effectively. This has sped up the debugging process and ensured smoother launches.

BrowserStack: Bridging the Gap for Comprehensive Cross-Browser Testing

  • August 22, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
As a tester, I have often encountered the challenge of testing my projects on multiple devices and browsers to ensure their compatibility. However, thanks to BrowserStack, this challenge has been gracefully addressed.

One of the most remarkable features of BrowserStack is its real-time simulator, which has proven to be a game-changer for my testing workflows. Unlike the traditional approach that would require me to possess an extensive collection of devices and browsers, BrowserStack's simulator empowers me to conduct testing across a spectrum of operating systems and browsers without the need for physical devices. This capability is particularly valuable for small teams and individual testers like myself who might not have access to an array of devices for testing.

The real-time simulator in BrowserStack delivers a remarkably accurate emulation of various devices and browsers, enabling me to witness firsthand how my web applications perform across different platforms. This capability has not only streamlined my testing efforts but has also provided me with a deeper understanding of how users might experience my applications in diverse environments.
What do you dislike about the product?
While BrowserStack has undoubtedly been a valuable asset for my cross-browser testing endeavors, there is one aspect that has occasionally caused frustration. The sporadic occurrence of the platform freezing or becoming unresponsive has been a drawback that warrants attention.

In the midst of a testing session, where precision and efficiency are of the essence, encountering a situation where BrowserStack hangs can disrupt the testing flow and lead to unnecessary delays. While these occurrences are not frequent, they do remind me of the importance of having a reliable and uninterrupted testing environment.

I believe that addressing this performance issue would greatly enhance the overall user experience on BrowserStack. Ensuring a smooth and consistent performance across various testing sessions would undoubtedly make the platform even more reliable and dependable for developers who rely on it for their cross-browser testing needs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Compatibility: Ensures apps work on various browsers.
Device Testing: Virtual testing on different devices.
User Experience: Real interaction reveals issues.
Cost Savings: No need for physical devices.
Efficiency: Automates testing for speed.
Development Speed: Faster issue resolution.
Overall, BrowserStack boosts quality, saves time, and streamlines web development.

Great browser testing for all devices, OS and browser versions

  • August 15, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Convenience of having all the browsers in multiple platforms and devices in one place. It's a must have for web development work and brand marketing in general.
What do you dislike about the product?
The display resolution in the virtual space is still a lot to be desired. You get a general idea of overall layout but for detailed image, SVG testing, it's not the ideal tool
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
When testing various web pages on the go and not having all the necessary devices and browsers installed, it's a life saver. It will take the guess work out of making sure everything is coded correctly for all browsers.
