Easy secret management
What do you like best about the product?
It's easy to set up and just works. Setting up Doppler for our env variable management was a breeze and since then it's worked flawlessly. Any questions we've had have been answered promptly and the product is a pleasure to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't have a ton of experience using other tooling for env/secret management so can't compare to other tools. So far there's been no downsides for us.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The need to have specific secrets per environment then permission those environments to users and service accounts.

Very good and easy to use.
What do you like best about the product?
I am able to create multiple configs and integrate with several platforms with auto sync.
What do you dislike about the product?
Mainly the cost of using all the features for a small team like mine.

Single point of reference for secrets across multiple platforms.
One place for all your API secrets
What do you like best about the product?
I've been using Doppler's secret referencing to create multiple environments that reference a single set of API secrets. We have 2 databases, one for dev and one for production, with multiple client apps (mobile, desktop, and some web based tools) that need API secrets for the database and other services. I love that I can make an environment for each client app and create subsets of secrets without needing to have copies of text all over the place. The backend code needs access to everything, but the frontend clients only need a subset. Some of the web tools only need a smaller subset than the mobile app. Creating environements in Doppler that all reference the master list lets me deliver only the secrets I want for each use case and without needing to duplicate values.
What do you dislike about the product?
I haven't used a lot of tools, but I can say that the dashboard for managing a lot of environments isn't great, since you get a long horizontal scrolling page after about 3 environments. I'd rather they are displayed in a grid or vertically. Also the site isn't designed for mobile so if you ever need to make a quick change from your phone, good luck!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Managing secrets that need to be shared among developers that come and go is annoying and potentially dangerous. We use access tokens to give developers access to specific environments. When a developer is no longer working on the project we can just revoke the access token.

What do you like best about the product?
It keeps my secrets secure. It's convenient to use across windows, linux, and mac.
What do you dislike about the product?
It was hard to find/install using chocolatey.

It helps me hide potentially sensitive company data and helps my code be secure.

1) No JSON secrets validation, so it is easy to break a config while editing manually

Best way to manage secrets at scale
What do you like best about the product?
The easiest way to manage environmental variables at scale. It has a host of integrations and excellent branching features to have separate production, development, and staging environments really easily.
What do you dislike about the product?
Support on Windows is a little cumbersome to set up, but MacOS, Linux, as well as all of our cloud providers, was super easy.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Syncing .env files across developers and production/staging servers. When a new feature that requires an environment variable/secret is added, it can easily be added into Doppler and is instantly synced across all developer machines. Additionally, local configs make it super easy to have developers make changes that only affect their environment.
A great platform to manage secrets
What do you like best about the product?
They make it extremely easy to manage secrets across all of the environments I run code in, including on my deployed servers and CI environments.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't particularly like how secrets are used with GitHub Actions. They're stored as secrets in repositories themselves, but I feel like it'd be cleaner if you could specify what secrets you want in a workflow itself.

The seamless integrations is the top feature. Implementing an integration with Authentik was easy with the help of customer support after discovering a small issue on their docs site. the company release new useful features regularly.

So far I haven't found anything I particularly dislike.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Keeping all of my secrets in a single place, integrating with tools like Github, Azure Keyvault, Postman and Terraform Cloud
Simplified secret management
What do you like best about the product?
Doppler is easy to use, with a very good UI, helpful features and an amazing support. Branch configuration is perfect to configure secrets for every review app.
What do you dislike about the product?
The team plan can get quite expensive for a growing team.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Doppler help us to give autonomy to the developer to configure the environment variables of their applications, as well as simplifying the management of secrets for infrastructure.
The perfect platform for secrets and configuration management
What do you like best about the product?
Doppler has been the most profitable purchase of the last 2 years in the company where I work. We've been using it for 2 years now, and it enables our development and infrastructure teams to manage a whole range of secrets and configurations across our platform, synchronizing them automatically and monitoring changes.
For me, it's the must-have platform for secrets management. I can't see myself going back.
It's easy to use, and the options offered, such as synchronization, automatic secret rotation, project-based rights management, etc., are really game-changing.

What do you dislike about the product?
The main disadvantage I see, compared to our current use (we don't yet use all the features offered by Doppler), is the price. We're a start-up and the cost per user can be a drag on some budgets. But I still think it's worth the price.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Doppler allows us to manage all the secrets of our platform in a clear and secure way. We can monitor secret changes, set up special rights according to secrets and projects, and even reference secrets between different Doppler projects to stay DRY! Quite frankly, Doppler saves us time and gives us peace of mind when it comes to managing our secrets and configurations.
