User friendly platform to host your live projects

  • March 25, 2024
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The feature to log in with our GitHub account makes it a lot easy to work with our files from GitHub and host our projects directly from GitHub. The website hosting features are also greatly personalised.
What do you dislike about the product?
The interface it provides to work with is cluttered and overwhelming. Some updates can be made to improve on that to provide a client friendly workspace.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The projects me and my team works on need to be hosted on live cloud for it to be functional and netlify serves that need for us. It makes our job easier by being in sync with GitHub, which allows for smoother flow of work and faster response.

Easy to use hosting service with lot of features for free

  • March 07, 2024
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It's easy to get started with Netlify, you get a lot of features even with the free plan. Forms work, Github integration works for basic sites. It has Let's Encrypt integrated, so getting SSL certificates is super easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
We've had some issues with Flutter web builds when deploying from Github, so we have to do manual builds which is not ideal.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Netlify solves the hosting of our Flutter Web app

The platform is easy to use and you have great flexibility.

What do you like best about the product?
The platform is easy to use and you have great flexibility. It is an open source project, so there is great potential for improvements in the future. Their static page scaling feature provides a convenient interface for editing our content. The ability to run the CMS without any backend server or service. It allows me to use Git as a backend service for my CMS, which reduces costs and increases simplicity for me and my clients.
What do you dislike about the product?
The documentation was a bit difficult. Some features are missing compared to the full CMS. The authentication settings for the administrator are a bit confusing at times.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Netlify CMS allows you to create/edit these custom files without having to use a code editor or know about GitHub pull requests or anything else. I am able to save a lot of time by letting my clients edit their own websites instead of having to do it all myself. If you are looking for a static website solution that works right out of the box. It's still a good choice for anyone working on a smaller project.

A Good hosting for personal or medium projects.

What do you like best about the product?
Netlify is easy to set up and good for static websites with small to medium user bases. It has many plugins which you can inject into your website to get faster performance analytics etc.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like the new UI of Netlify the previous one looks more elegant and professional but the new one looks somewhat childish to me. Also, it become more difficult to use now.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Netlify is used by us for hosting the sites of clients and personnel as well. We are using it for people with less demand for high-performing websites. Also, it has direct integration with git which is quite good.

Seamless deployment with Netlify

  • December 27, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It is very easy to get the static website deployed - can be integrated with other repository-hosting platforms such as GitHub. On the push of code, the live website gets deployed automatically.
What do you dislike about the product?
It would have been better if we could have a similar experience in deploying dynamic websites - the current platforms for deploying dynamic websites are not as good as Netlify.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
These are the problems that Netlify is solving:
- Any static website can be deployed by just pushing code to the repository.
- Pre-merging checks and deployment can be done without additional effort, that helps the developers ensure that bugs are not introduced in a new patch.

What do you like best about the product?
Netlify allows new users to setup their hosting withing a few minutes with easy to use interface and a detailed documentation. Additionally the free plan is more than enough for most users.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing as such to dislike but for more advanced users more flexibility on configuration can be provided.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Fore most people setting up servers and hosting is a tough task which is reduced by use of netlify that allows website hosting in few minutes.

Great platform for jamstack websites

  • September 05, 2022
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Netlify is everything you need to deploy a static site, whether HTML only or based on a framework like Hugo or Gatsby. Netlify has many additional services that can make a static website more dynamic like Netlify CMS, Identity, Forms, or Functions.
What do you dislike about the product?
The pricing is not as flexible as I would've hoped. The free plan is generous, but if you need anything more, you'll have to pay 20 USD per month, even if you need slightly increased build limits. Also, self-hosted GitLab or GitHub Enterprise instances are supported only on the business and enterprise plans.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Netlify is our web hosting, CDN and CI/CD provider. We're using Netlify to deploy and manage websites and web applications using Netlify build. Netlify also allows us to use a social content management system for static websites - Netlify CMS.

Making Website Deployment Easier

  • July 27, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Netlify makes it easy to deploy websites. The integration of GitHub is probably the best feature I like. Just develop a React-based project and you can easily deploy it using Netlify. And whenever you make changes in your repository, they will be automatically deployed on Netlify.
What do you dislike about the product?
The Content Management System (CMS) requires a lot of improvement. Unlike other CMS, a developer is required to add every block to edit content, which can be painful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I don't have to worry about deploying my site manually. The changes I make in my GitHub repository will be deployed directly on Netlify, and it is a huge benefit for me.

Amazing CI/CD Solution for the JamStack

  • June 28, 2022
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The ease of being able to make adjustments and instantly deploy new versions of prod/dev sites simply by pushing commits to a specific GitHub branch and to have those dev sites online but hidden behind password protection.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the error reporting any failed builds haven't been the as intuative as I'd needed to be, though they had been detailed in their respect.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
A seamless solution to updating static websites, both through version control and CMS content deployments.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Their sales and support team are incredibly friendly and will go out of their way to ensure your needs are met. Don't be afraid to reach out for a conversation.
