What do you like best about the product?
You can extend the platform to fit your needs using Extension Attributes, custom scripts, and custom deployables.
What do you dislike about the product?
Maintaining an on prem sever environment had been a challenge.

Managing macOS and iOS devices. Grouping devices and batch operations have proven invaluable.

A Game-Changer

  • November 12, 2019

What do you like best about the product?
We started down the road to MDM with 10.13, and fell into Workspace One. After a year of hostile user interfaces and relentless bugs, we switched to Jamf. It’s made all the difference!
What do you dislike about the product?
No native windows client for reporting or a bit of a drag, but we’re managing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It’s made mobile device management CONSIDERABLY easier, and has helped evangelize our org towards Mac management.

Extensibility with Jamf Pro

  • November 12, 2019
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The ability to extend Jamf Pro with EAs. We use this feature heavily to gather information that otherwise wouldn't be available. No experience with other MDM solutions, so can compare.
What do you dislike about the product?
Cost of using Jamf Pro. Being forced to move to Jamf in the Cloud. While worthwhile, feeling forced. I understand the value of being the cloud and we're working to get or organization to adopt that model so that we can move forward and manage our devices at all times.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Keeping devices properly managed - patched and secure.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Don't be afraid.

What do you like best about the product?
asset management and management through policies are amazingly simple.
What do you dislike about the product?
Lack of patch management is a big issue. Cert based file management is nonexistent since the depreciation of JDS.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are trying to implement “choice” in the environment.

Jamf Pro makes it easy for us to deploy and encrypt Apple devices.

What do you like best about the product?
Great product for managing MAC devices. Self deployment is very easy for the end user to perform. Allows for self-enrollment of MAC devices. You can deploy iPads to end users without any IT personnel needing to put hands on the devices. Desktop . Laptop devices can be handled in the same way.
What do you dislike about the product?
Requires managers to keep up with the product to stay fluent in operation. Some functions are WYSIWYG but some require programming knowledge to accomplish.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Deployment to users. Management of software updating and deployment. JAMF Pro has allowed a small staff to manage large deployments.

What do you like best about the product?
The ease by which we can deploy apps and restrictions. Also impressed with the GPS tracking and reset features. Looking forward to the new JAMF School.

People are always asking us to track websites. Is JAMF against this due to privacy concerns? What about where at work you have little right to privacy.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Deploying apps the correct legal way.
