What do you like best about the product?
Jamf is the most power and flexible management tool I have seen. If it is not already capable of doing what you want, the Jamf user community is out there in full force ready and willing to help. If they have not already solved it and shared the solution, they are always there to help. They have been around the longest, so they support all sorts of Mac environments.
What do you dislike about the product?
Cost will always be a challenge. It does so many things, even if you aren’t using it all. Jamf Now, their free solution, is not always enough for the small time user.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We needed a way to quickly and simply deploy new devices to offices all across the country and world when IT is only in two of the many offices. We have been able to create a smooth simple deployment workflow that can be done by any AE in any office if needed. It is even okay if the end user does it themselves.

What do you like best about the product?
I like being able to give non IT people the ability to help manage a fleet of devices.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there were more solutions to issues than just whats in JAMF Nation.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The deployment of iPads to students and Staff and the deployments if apps and software to them. Using JAMF as taken away the need to have IT touch devices as much as we were in the past.

What do you like best about the product?
I like the inventory features. I like how I can pull up the OS and applications.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't understand how all the MDM setup occurs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Software inventory and administrator access is what is happening currently. Helping with patching and updates is working out well.

What do you like best about the product?
I love the reliability of the product and service. JAMF is truly a compliment to Apple products and the end user experience. I can't say enough great things.
What do you dislike about the product?
There isn't much that I can say I dislike about JAMF Pro. It seems like the team is on top of the feedback provided from the JNation.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use JAMF for computers and iOS. iOS is primarily for the retail experience. At HQ, I manage all the machines both locally and across the US.

What do you like best about the product?
Reporting features and knowing what is installed on each of the units
What do you dislike about the product?
The lack of a unified search option for inventory within jamf. it was harder to find an Apple TV until we learned that it was in the mobile device area and we were searching in the wrong place.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Solving the ability to deploy the new Mac OS. benefits equals greater visibility of what is on the machines as well as OS version

What do you like best about the product?
Easy to deploy and add policies and packages. Helps us to inventory and keep up with our devices
What do you dislike about the product?
I don’t understand the scripts needed and have to call support when I need to put one in. (Good news is - support is wonderful)

Easy to check on the devices and keep inventory

Great Support! i can call if an emergency or just submit through jamf nation.

JNUC is in Minneapolis instead of Omaha

JamfPro takes the headache out of laptop deployment for faculty!

What do you like best about the product?
JamfPro and DEP allows us to get devices into the hands of faculty far more quickly, configured to met their needs, and in a far more reliably way than ever before! I could not imagine going back to the days of monolithic imaging, and having to touch every machine individually! Thanks, Jamf!
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish config profiles were a bit easier to use. It’s getting better with every release, so I have high hopes!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Being able to set policies to ensure that machines are in compliance, being able to gather information on patch levels, and being able to block specific software is essential in our environment. I also enjoy the ability to use SelfService to allow users to fix their own problems!
Recommendations to others considering the product:
You need this. You may not think you do, but you NEED Jamf Pro if you are managing multiple iOS or macOS devices. Edited to add: With work-from-home due to COVID-19, we leaned HEAVILY on JamfPro in order to get laptops provisioned for faculty, staff, and students ("temporary" loaners"). Without being in the cloud, we would have been hard pressed to provide the level of IT service needed to our users. Thanks Jamf!!!!

What do you like best about the product?
I like how JAMF has helped to automate my workflow and reduced the burden of setting up new users. In an environment that sees high turnover, automation has helped us go from being reactive to proactive.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike that the iOS management is more native than macOS. It seems that for iOS there are more checkboxes for configurations but in macOS, much more of the configuration and granular type settings are scripting based.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are empowering end-users to solve their problems before escalating the issues and quasi-integrating them into our IT support structure with Self Service. JAMF allows us to set and forget computers before deployment and focus on larger issues within our small IT department

What do you like best about the product?
I like how easy it is for an admin to set up deployments for endpoints.
What do you dislike about the product?
It’s not really a fault of JAMF but I dislike how it interacts with our environment that is heavy on Windows Active Directory.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is solving the problem of having managed MacBooks. We use Intune for iPad and mobile phone management but am interested in how the two intergrate.
