Nothing comes close

What do you like best about the product?
Jamf is undoubtedly the best mobile device management platform for Apple products. Configuration and profile management is a breeze with Jamf, and my favorite is the high customizability.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't have anything negative to say about Jamf. It does what it is supposed to, and it does it well. If I had to choose something, I would say that I would like to see a better experience when it comes to class rosters coming in from Apple School Manager. It would be nice to view all classes and have them as automatic smart groups.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jamf solves the process of getting the correct configurations and apps to the right people. Setting this up is a breeze and makes administering several thousand iPads easier.

What do you like best about the product?
I love how you can manage all of you Apple devices and push updates to either your entire fleet or specific groups of devices. Jamf also allows us to restrict certain apps or functions to any of the devices that we are using
What do you dislike about the product?
Haven't found anything, except for the overall cost as you scale up
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Overall management and deployment

JAMF Pro is very easy to use with a UI that just works and is very functional.

What do you like best about the product?
The best thing I like about JAMF Pro is the UI and how easy it is to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
The downside of JAMF Pro is issues with policies not always going through and taking multiple tries.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
JAMF is great for keeping a restricted environment for student laptops. It's very easy to use and has a very helpful community that has just about any answer you can ask them.

Been on Jamf since Casper!

What do you like best about the product?
Simplest management for macOS that I have experienced. Allowed me to easily create a near zero-touch deployment model that our Service Center loves.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wouldn't say there are downsides. The few issues I have are really related to our legacy on-prem environment not having script editing on the site.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Mass management of our macOS fleet. We have easily been able to configure a consistent security baseline that we can be sure is securing our endpoints.

Jamf is the only option for managing Apple devices.

What do you like best about the product?
Granularity. Speed. Support is second to none.
What do you dislike about the product?
To be honest there really isn't much I don't like, pretty much everything is great about Jamf. The things I don't like are generally Apple related.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jamf makes it extremely easy to manage our apple devices and deploy apps/configuration profiles/etc.

Best in Class Apple Device Management

  • May 09, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It's very userfriendly, takes seriously security on Apple devices, and has zero day support for all Apple OS's
What do you dislike about the product?
I feel as though no attention has been paid to certain features over the years, like Site. Would love to see more integrated into Jamf without API scripting or ways to call the API without credentials.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We can easily scale from 100 to 10,000 devices, and automated enrollments and pre-stages saves us time provisioning each machine and a better user experience with Self Service.

JAMF Makes Managing Macs Easy

  • May 09, 2023
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Jamf Pro allows me to easily manage a fleet of about 500 Apple devices. Everything is available in one place. The GUI is clean, logical, and easy to navigate. The documentation is awesome. Every task has written instructions, and most have how-to videos. The Jamf community, including Jamf Nation, is welcoming and incredibly supportive. Jamf technical support is amazing. They are responsive, helpful, and never make you feel like you've asked a stupid question. I have been using this service for a little over two years, and I can't imagine using any other product to manage Apple devices.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wouldn't say I dislike anything. I wish there was a remote access option similar to Remote Desktop in MS Azure.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Managing Apple devices in a Windows environment. Jamf integrates seamlessly with MS Azure. It takes much less time to push out software and settings. Jamf also helps keep track of current inventory.

    Education Management

Jamf works as it is advertised

What do you like best about the product?
I like that jamf keeps me from going to each device individually. I can run updates quickly. Support is always helpful. The certification courses and online resources are beneficial.
What do you dislike about the product?
Jamf pro is one of the more expensive products on the market. Switching from JAMF Pro to JAMF school is difficult because I need to connect my ASM to two servers. I also wish there was a way to make multiple local accounts on the device in JAMF or a version or a more cost-effective version of JAMF Connect.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In the summer, it would take me forever to update computers. Now I have made a policy that quickly installs the DMG file. I also use JAMF to run scripts that lock down student devices.

Jamf Pro makes it pretty easy but not without a few oddities to manage my Apple fleet.

What do you like best about the product?
I like how widely spread Jamf is used in the Apple community and how responsive Jamf Nation is when I have a dilemma or issue that I can't resolve myself. It is also nice that I believe Apple put's it's stamp of approval on it.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't know why some endpoints, mostly computers lose connectivity with our Jamf instance for no rhyme or reason and also why some configuration profiles won't install for no apparent reason. The two issues may be related somehow but, that is still a mystery even after speaking with Jamf support.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jamf is solving the issue of our inventory on the Apple side of things in our environment. Also, being able to deploy installations to endpoints by use of SmartGroups has been extremely useful. We have used the Jamf to perform MDM commands like wipe, erase, etc when needed as well.

Great management tool for Apple devices

  • May 09, 2023
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Jamf works great when it comes to handling and managing all Apple devices. Whether it's a Mac, iPad, or iPhone, you have the ability to control and administer policy commands, patch updates, and locking/wiping of devices. Would highly recommend it! Plus, you can get certified as well with the MDM and the courses are free to take.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only dislike I have with Jamf is its customer service. Though support reaches out initially in a timely manner, when it comes to follow-ups or repairs, the initial fixes feel more like band-aids than actual repairs. When the issue is escalated, the next team handles the issues phenomenally and follows up and keeps you up-to-date with what's happening or causing your tech issue.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Patch management when it comes to updating macOS, iOS, or apps that are for Apple products.
