Managing Macs is suddenly easier than managing Windows
What do you like best about the product?
I love the amount of customization that Jamf Pro provides, and how, once groups are established, most things just work. Ever since using Apple School Manager along with Jamf, the control we have is extremely granular, hands-off, and applies quickly. When we receive a new computer, we can have it fully set up and ready for the end user in under twenty minutes, with very little work from our techs. Being able to use custom triggers and call those triggers from another script leads to very controlled and predictable workflows. Jamf customer support is fantastic, too. They always respond quickly and teach me how to better use the product.
What do you dislike about the product?
Most of my complaints about Mac management have to do with Apple, not Jamf Pro, such as how it's impossible to remotely allow screen recording for classroom computers.
For Jamf though, the only thing that bothers me is that I can't "push a script" in the same way that I can on Windows. It's a little frustrating to be on the phone with a customer and say, "I've scoped you to a policy that should fix this. Wait fifteen minutes and call me back." "It's been two hours and you still can't work? Oopsie, guess I'll head over in person." I wish there were a management command that triggered a "jamf policy" check.

Almost every aspect of Mac management is covered by Jamf Pro. Remote access and privilege elevation aren't quite there yet, but having so much control over configuration and policies is fantastic. Before Jamf, we couldn't imagine a world where managing Macs was easier than PCs, but now that's a reality. We're deploying Macs quickly and keeping a great user experience.

Nothing, i have yet to run into any issues.

Entra ID authentication and syncing.
Can’t manage Macs without Jamf Pro
What do you like best about the product?
Jamf Pro is the single most useful tool for managing a fleet of 800 Macs and 500 iPads / Apple TVs. It's the only way to keep our machines up to date since they're spread across a community campus as well as used at home by our faculty and staff. And the fact that Jamf continues to release new features such as Jamf Remote Assist, macOS LAPS, and the new Software Updates - my job is actually becoming easier over time. Jamf customer support is very responsive and helpful. Also the trainings and conferences are extremely beneficial to our small Mac Admin team. Without Jamf, I don't know how we would manage this amount of Apple devices efficiently.
What do you dislike about the product?
Computers or mobile devices that lose connection with Jamf require manual intervention to resolve.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Cannot manually update / upgrade / keep compliant 800 Macs and 500 mobile devices without a reliable MDM
Jamf Protect is a no brainer
What do you like best about the product?
I love that Jamf Protect is hands-off after the initial setup. Jamf reps helped get us started and were very responsive. Simple and quick to implement.
What do you dislike about the product?
Jamf Protect doesn't have a very intuitive interface. If I wanted to implement something new I would have to contact customer support, which isn't a big deal since they are easy to work with.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Once we began using Jamf Protect, we were able to eliminate the other anti-virus software that was always causing problems.
Daily use of Jamf Pro
What do you like best about the product?
I use Jamf Pro every day and appreciate how simple it is to add or modify settings on the fly. Jamf Pro has significantly simplified the management of our mobile devices.
What do you dislike about the product?
No real dislike, it would be nice if there was a much easier way to manage licenses. Clean up duplicate devices using licenses.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Adding apps on the fly, creating groups to distribute apps properly.
Day 0 Support, much appreciated
What do you like best about the product?
Jamf Protect just catches the things we miss. It has helped get our compliance to a consistent standard. I also love the integration with Jamf Pro and how easy it is to remediate issues. Also enjoyed that we could click a button and have the configuration profiles to setup new endpoint just show up in Jamf Pro. Made implementation very easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
The anti-virus definitions aren't updated as frequently as other EDR tools. The analytics are hard to update.

Jamf Pro is fantastic and the best Apple MDM solution in the world!
What do you like best about the product?
Jamf Pro's advanced search and customization are so easy to understand. The multiple options and resources Jamf provides are next to none. They are always staying ahead of the game with new releases. Custom enrollment is easy for our staff and student devices. Customer Support is also very responsive.

Jamf Pro has been nothing but fantastic. I have nothing wrong to say about it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jamf Pro is helping solve our inventory management that previous administrators messed up.
Jamf is the Swiss army knife of MDMs
What do you like best about the product?
How customizable it is. If you can think it, you can do it. Also the comunity is amazing.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not the biggest fan of the small mac apps library, but expect it to grow over time.

Being in touch with all iOS and macOS devices.

Some configs difficult to code, no Android support (yet?)

There is very little that can't be done with JAMF when it comes to managing your corporate Apple device fleet.

JAMF can be a little complex for new users. Luckily they have a lot of free courses and documentation to help you quickly get up to speed.
