What do you like best about the product?
I like how we can fit in Jamf with all of the departments within our organisation. All evenly impressed.
What do you dislike about the product?
I can't come up with current parts I dislike, probably due to the fact that it's completely customisable.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Enrollment of new colleagues used to be hard and time expensive, now we enroll new colleagues within 30 minutes fully provisioned without any IT in between.

What do you like best about the product?
JAMF Pro is easy to set up and use. Initially, our device enrollment took 30+ minutes per device and with JAMF Pro we have dropped that down to a few minutes. Making configuration changes is quick and painless.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only criticism I have is that some of the options in the portals should have more information on the portal page about what the function is or how it is used. JAMF has great documentation, and the interfaces are sleek, but I find that I have to go back and forth between the documents and the web interface to configure settings. This is to be expected, but some extra tooltips would be nice.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
JAMF Pro has helped us reduce the amount of staffing and time needed to manage our iPad deployment. This allows us to focus our efforts on other areas of our business.

What do you like best about the product?
The Jamf online community and technical support staff and educational resources are by far the best available for macOS and iOS management.
What do you dislike about the product?
Apple only, in Government does create some difficult selling points when other MDM's are able to manage all platforms.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Allows the most flexibility and customized workflows, via Scripts and built in tools within the JSS

What do you like best about the product?
The dashboard is absolutely essential for me. Every day I start with it as Homepage and close it at last rest assured. Giving feedback to the management and having an eye on incoming to-dos by smartgroups or patchreports is also precious to me.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are still limits set by Apple and of course time itself which sometimes force me to create a workaround for something essential to me. There are a lot of things you need to do by scripting to solve, but on the other hand: you can still learn from that!
I was sad when Jamf Pro got new shortcuts, feels kind of windows-ish to use them now.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I manage nearly all Apple devices in our company and so I can rollout software, fix issues, provide individual solutions for remote working or assist users with their individual issues - all with Jamf Pro.
Before we used Jamf Pro the updates weren't installed regularly/periodically , the software were on a different patchlevel and if anything broke the user has to manually setup his mac anew.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Take your time, test it, discover it, take a good look at the jamf nation website and even if you don't go with Jamf Pro, you should become a part of Jamf Nation and also the macadmin-slack. The community helps each other and the jamf support is great. If you enjoy Jamf Pro consider the trainings offered by jamf to increase your knowledge in many ways!

What do you like best about the product?
The Jamf Pro MDM is the best tool on the market for managing Apple devices.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have no dislikes with Jamf Pro. The product works as designed and the support is great
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With using Jamf Pro it makes it easier to manage the 1500 Apple devices we have in our environment. Deploying apps and software to devices is more streamlined instead of us going device to device like we have in the past.

What do you like best about the product?
If I need any help the support team are always quick to respond and are in my time zone and speak my language.
What do you dislike about the product?
As with any powerful software, training is recommended which should be budgeted for.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The security team want to have visibility of the macOS computers and JAMF Pro gives them all the data they need about the fleet.

What do you like best about the product?
When we were given less than a week notice to prepare to move everyone offsite, I was able to do so easily with Jamf Pro already in place. It allowed me to deploy software, track inventory, and remote to users with only a few clicks of the mouse. It saved months of user and IT frustrations.
What do you dislike about the product?
Jamf Remote doesn't work over the VPN, but it does allow me to push Zoom, Teams and ARD configurations so I had multiple other options available when needing to assist users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm able to push security and software updates on schedule with little hassle. Macs can be locked down and compliant to all requirements.

Best of breed

What do you like best about the product?
They have access to everything you can possibly want to customize in a Mac. Software deployment is incredibly easy and takes little to no time to configure, depending on the software. No one on the market can compete with their access to OS commands and controls, or with how quickly they adapt to new OS updates.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of their file and data management systems need work. In their hosted version there's no easy way to download a package for tweaking or investigating. In either the on-prem or hosted versions there's no way to manage the hundreds of icons that get added for use in Self Service. Both trivial in the grand scheme of things.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are in the process of integrating all our Macs with Okta and SSO. Jamf along with Jamf Connect are helping us give users a seamless and uniform experience across all devices, so they only have to remember their one password and then they get access to everything they need. In our work from home environment, I'm able to ship computers directly to users and they just turn them on and login. This speeds up deployment and saves on shipping costs alone!
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Unless you really enjoy managing Apache and SQL servers, don't bother with the on-prem version. Just get the cloud hosted version and let someone else deal with the nuts and bolts. Aside from that, join both JamfNation.com to get help from fellow users (they often help beyond just the Jamf piece) and the various Mac Admin slack channels. The communities there are incredibly supportive and creative. They can take you from simply "it works" to "what doesn't it do?!"

Jamf Not just a MDM!

What do you like best about the product?
the community is definitely something Jamf should brag about. when you have any issue is easy to find forums of other Jamf admins that could give you an inside and help you address them.
What do you dislike about the product?
if I am been honest the one thing I don't like is the constant update... once I update my version, that same week I am getting an email about the new release, is not a bad issue to have but is still sometimes frustrating when you are working to test and make sure everything is working to then start over.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
the way to manage all the MAC devices for all the organization, making my job easier.
