Mighty machine in your right situation

What do you like best about the product?
It seems that most items in Jamf Pro are well figured out in an attitude to how should Apple do it, without overwhelming the customer with so much knowledge at once. Being crewed Airwatch ahead of Jamf is a blast of air and not a program's daunt. I notice how updates are introduced to launches very easily as well as the customer service is fantastic.
What do you dislike about the product?
Since inside the technology industry there are a thousand forms of executing a single task, we may always lead ourselves into a dark rathole just to encounter further challenges. Jamf isn't any special. Although Jamf appears to keep the whole system available for us to create our own business processes, the casual or novice consumer can be frustrated by this. There is little known way of doing one thing. Many of the functions may be done through many means.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Since traveling among our academies is pricey and challenging logistics, it is essential to be able to simply administer our devices remotely. Our links to the Web via satellite question more remote administration. All those problems are overcome by the JAMF framework. It enables us to operate within the latency limitations of our Cellular connectivity by being able to establish local distribution points on each page.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I haven't much to tell, that's certainly fine. Using a tool like this for the management of their corporate structure should be quite satisfying for everybody. It is ideal for tracked management and effective implementation without interruptions of procedures. You will save quite a great deal of time.

Most Complete MDM We've Used.

What do you like best about the product?
Management of iOS and macOS, via Profiles and MCX.
What do you dislike about the product?
Seems to be a constant stream of updates required lately. Some are bug fixes, some are due to Apple's release schedule.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Management of ~10,000 iPads, and ~8,300 macOS devices. User settings, device settings, updates, etc..

We have a very limited number of technicians that manage our device fleet (7). Without JamfPro there is no way we'd be able to keep up with the software installations and updates. It has been a lifesaver.

It also allows us to leverage Apple's DEP program to enroll into Jamf and apply policies for any and all settings and software that the devices need.

We leverage the Self Service feature to allow end users to install software, and run utilities, as needed, on their own.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Plan ahead with deployment as far as who will be doing the various functions. Determine how you will enroll devices. Another recommendation is to start bundling it in with new purchases so that you can grow the install base over time.

Great MDM tool!

What do you like best about the product?
The best feature of Jamf is that you can manage corporate devices regardless of their location. If the device is connected to the Intenet you can push profiles and apply policies.
What do you dislike about the product?
Setting up some integrations like AD PKI integration are pretty tricky and don't have clear documentation.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to patch and set up corporate laptops almost immediately even without connection to the corporate network.

This is a great tool with great support.

Jamf is an amazing tool that everyone needs to manage Mac OS and iOS devices

What do you like best about the product?
Jamf is a very easy, intuitive, and clean solution to allow for you to manage your Mac OS and iOS devices. I love the option for the self-service portal for users to be able to access software and install on their own.
What do you dislike about the product?
initially I had issues with tying together the 2 VPP accounts into one, but after ditching one and enrolling the new one, as is well.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
patch management, software distribution, inventory control, and managing Mac OS and iOS versions has been great. we are able to tell when devices are capped at certain OS versions, which gives us a good indication that the device needs to be replaced. we also use history usage that allows us to determine if a device has been used at all or if it is sitting in someones top drawer collecting dust. By allowing jamf to be outward facing, this has allowed us to gain all of this information when users are not onsite.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
This product is amazing. Before, we struggled using the server app that was offered by Apple. Once support ended on that, we decided to give Jamf a try. The question about what Jamf stands for was our first question, but we assume it is just another mac fan. Anyways, these product has created a seamless environment for our Apple products on campus. Using the software, we are able to send packages, offer a self service portal for users to access software, such as Adobe Creative Cloud, Colleague, VPN, SPSS, Perceptive Content, etc.

Awesome product and easy to use

What do you like best about the product?
The product is very easy to use and was able to set it up our self’s. Also the price is just right for us.
What do you dislike about the product?
Was minimal documentation on how to set it up. Although we set it up ourselves it still would have been nice to have more documentation to do the install with.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
MDM and ability to push updates.

Excellent customer support...and product!

What do you like best about the product?
Customer support was very responsive and helpful. I was able to install apps remotely in a timely manner.
What do you dislike about the product?
As a new user, there was a bit of learning curve. Customer support, however, was responsive and helpful in short order. I was given resources and assistance with using Jamf Pro to examine the devices in my organization, and accomplish my tasks very quickly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I installed apps on a class set of iPads using Jamf Pro. The process was easy to understand, and the iPads were up and running after a simple reboot.

What do you like best about the product?
Makes pushing out updates, changes, policies, security (FileVault), certificates, etc very easy. As well as asset tracking.
What do you dislike about the product?
I like all of it, nothing to dislike, just works!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Policy updates, certs, etc are so much easier, no need to touch every Mac.

What do you like best about the product?
I love jamf nation whenever I run into an issue that I can't resolve I I check the forum first to see if others have run into the problem, and most of the time, I can find the answers there. I love tech support; they are always patient and very knowledgeable about most JAMF subjects. I and also a JAMF hero; this is an exclusive invite to costumers who have worked well with support technicians.Jamf Nation is a community of Apple admins that come together to find answers to Apple problems, collaborate on scripts and request features for Jamf Pro. The great thing about Jamf Nation — and what separates it from other community sites — is that it's free for everyone. You don’t even have to be a Jamf customer. You simply sign up and start searching discussions or begin creating your own to ask questions, learn new workflows or get insight on really anything imaginable when it comes to Apple IT. Most of the time someone will either have the same problem you have or be able to point you in the right direction.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish patch management was more robust and creating complicated policies was more fleshed out. It would be helpful to have some type of help menu or tips for creating policies imbedded into the JSS web interface.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Remoting and pushing software to remote site. If it wasn't for the JSS we would have to physically travel to Harlem to resolve their software issues. Pushing OS updates is easier using a policy in the JSS or scheduling Office 2019 updates. JAMF is a great product that should be implemented in all Mac environments.
