Jamf Pro - Best MDM Provider to Use
What do you like best about the product?
Not only does Jamf Pro provide the basic MDM controls, but it is also unlimited in the means that you can add custom scripts and custom extension attributes. These two additions will enhance your setup to an incredible level if you become a pro at scripting. When powering scripts together with Jamf Pro, you have an amazing setup that has no barriers.
What do you dislike about the product?
A small dislike of Jamf Pro is that they are sometimes a bit slow to incorporate new controls into their setup that Apple has made available. To be fair though, this is because Jamf engineers need to fully test it before making it easily available for all of their Jamf Pro customers.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Jamf Pro is the leading MDM solution and provide the best means to get an organisation's Apple devices into a management control that is best suited. As a result this means far less IT tickets as Mac devices are correctly setup automatically and makes the end user experience a positive one.

Jamf Pro is a complete management tool for our devices, starting from the device coming out of the box to the end of life of the device.

Ummmm, nothing. Jamf Pro really does everything we need with great support

Jamf allows us to fully manage the macOS devices compared to other MDM's that just offer an inventory of the mac device.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Do not be put off by the costs of a Jump Start.

Premium cost for non education. Difficult sell to client when you get a free mdm with your m365 license

What do you like best about the product?
That I can wipe devices remotely without having to have the device in front of me
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the personal locking key is too long
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
When devices go missing we can lock them remotely so that no one is able to access the device contents

What do you like best about the product?
There is more to like about JAMF as time goes on, but for me, the ease of onboarding, deployment of security and device profiles is the real game-changer. To be able to deploy all the required settings in one go is great.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are a few things that could be improved on. Although I appreciate that JAMF can't work magic. Updating is still a little clunky and it's not always easy to achieve what you need if you're not a coding whizz.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
JAMF solves the issue of a small team managing several hundred Mac's. It speeds up onboarding, simplifies deployment and provides info on who has what and how it's all working.

A single pane of glass that is exclusively targeted at supporting Apple devices. It stays ahead of the competition in developments: as the devices changes, so does it.
What do you dislike about the product?
The strength of Apple exclusivity is also a weakness, as companies have to look at other tools to manage their entire device ecosystem.

Zero touch mac deployment and ongoing managememt.

Jamf are slow to fix bug and issues, slow to add features requested byt he comunity

Excellent MDM for apple based mobile devices
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to get started. Clear definition between Computers and Mobile Devices. Easy configuration of devices and integrations with the likes of PPPC utility helps you deploy configuration and applications very quickly to devices.
What do you dislike about the product?
Patch Management is OK if Jamf knows your product. There is work on going to make this better, but ultimately you need a 3rd party Vulnerability Management tool to understand your patching needs. One area it is let down in is in reporting -> that is how well policy or configuration deployed, what errors were encountered. You often have to go hunting around within a policy to understand that it failed. So the tool is much more policy than operational if that makes sense?!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Control of devices, application addition/removal from devices, some automated patching, configuration of devices to best practice standard, applying restrictions to devices to meet security standards. Mostly it saves time and provides consistency!
