One year in to using FloQast to streamline our close
What do you like best about the product?
The user interface is simple and mostly intuitive - much easier to figure out than other SAAS solutions we use.
What do you dislike about the product?
Inability to attach support within the system is a limitation. Review notes are a little hard to see and we end up just using email still most of the time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Organization is the key item solved.

What do you like best about the product?
FloQast makes Month End Close so much easier! Everything is in separate folders and files so that it's easy to find what you're looking for. It has made our process more streamlined and organized which helps with a faster and more efficient close.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's not much I dislike about FloQast. The only thing that's a tad inconvenient is all the clicking that needs to be done in Google Drive to get to the file I am looking for. But, I prefer this over all the files being in one big folder!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
FloQast holds us accountable for the tasks that we are assigned and the dates which they are due. This helps us close on time and faster than before.

What do you like best about the product?
Keeping track of reconciliations and sign offs.
What do you dislike about the product?
The dashboard takes awhile to update after signing off on reconciliation or updating trial balance. Usually have to go out and come back in.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Coordinating reconciliations. Easier to identify open items.
Makes monthly compilations and review easier!
What do you like best about the product?
I like that Floqast ties my monthly schedules to the trial balance and compares the two on the same screen. It saves time and I am able to spot problems immediately. It will even send an email notification to let you know an account is out of balance. I also like that the client services team is easy to talk to and I can contact them anytime. They always respond very quickly!
What do you dislike about the product?
I originally had said that the only issue was that Floqast did not sync with QB online. Well, Floqast contacted me and told me that they are now able to sync with Quickbooks, and got us set up right away! We are very happy with our Floqast services.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are saving paper and office space as FloQast helps us keep electronic records for our compilations in one place. It also allows an accountant's work to be reviewed electronically from anywhere! We used to have to physically pass on folders to our supervisors for review, but now reviewers can log in from anywhere to review schedules and financials.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Floqast is especially helpful if you currently use Excel to track your monthly accounting schedules.

What do you like best about the product?
Ability to share a common list with multiple people on a team, helps keep everyone on the same page.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think we have utilized this system a little too much in depth. We have every possible thing listed and have a reviewer on all items which sometimes can seem like overkill.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
More efficient close process and achieving close deadlines.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make sure to use the checklist review notes section to always track your communication. This will help if someone ever leaves the company you will always have the historical information.
Top Organizational Month End Tool
What do you like best about the product?
Floqast helps create a tool to ensure accountability during the close process. This also allows the month-end close process to be streamlined in a more efficent manner. The Flux analysis tool is a game changer when comes to reviewing the monthly P&L.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is nothing to dislike with Floqast. Floqast has always been a help and never the opposite. I cannot really say one bad thing about Floqast. I would recommend Floqast to every colleague.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The problems i am solving are keeping reconciliation in balance. The benefits received are that in real time the accounts get updated. I can update the recs to ensure a timely close deadline.

What do you like best about the product?
Floqast helps us catch mistakes when it comes to reconciling accounts. The fact that it sync with Intacct and dropbox has saved our team so much time. We were not reconciling all accounts before Floqast due to the manual work involved.
What do you dislike about the product?
I do not have many complaints with Floqast at this time. I do hate that the extra features cost additional money.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are reconciling all accounts and notice when account balances changes. We are closing faster and more accurately. Great product!
Easy to use, and communicative tool for the team! The customer support is also amazing!

I love the customer service team at FQ. My contact there is Troy, and he is just the best! FQ is also a great tool for the whole team, and its effective and easy to use.

I really can't think of a dislike for this product.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It streamlines the review process for close, and its a great way for reviewers to add comments and easy for the preparer to locate the problem and subsequently close out the problem.
Great, but also room for improvement
What do you like best about the product?
The UI is straight forward and easy to navigate through. We are a large finance department with multiple teams. Using FQ is a great way to show quick metrics on how we are doing with close. And then if more detail is needed, it's easy to drill into the details and checklists. I also like how the reconciliation section pulls in the balance per the workbork and per the TB, so it's easy to tell if there is a variance. I also like how we can specify who the review note comment is applicable to.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is a delay in timing for when I am notified when something is ready for review. I'd also like to be able to run reports out of FQ to analyze how quickly the teams are getting items done in relation to the due dates, and also the late items. If items are late, I'd like to know why if the deadlines are reasonable. I'd also like visibility into how often due dates are changing, and if there is a report available for that.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps us maintain accountability with our work and deadlines. It also helps teams maintain transparency with their status on close.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Subgroups under the item would be helpful for when there are multiple items / checks in one item.

Implementation was a massive differentiator for us. Simple setup, and it does not require much admin support at all. I like that is not a burden at all to use, modify, and maintain.

Really can't think of much. I do wish it were a bit less expensive per person. We want to add everyone and we have a large accounting org. I must mention that it is still has a lower cost than other solutions we evaluated.
They continue to role out improved functionality but they break up the platform so each of these great things costs a little bit more. Typical for SAAS but would continued cost increases are not always easy to swallow.
Before we switched to Netsuite ERP, it was a pain to continue to upload refreshed TBs to get the latest information for our Reconciliation tie-outs.
