The best month end close management tool out there
What do you like best about the product?
FloQast has shifted its focus toward AI, introducing capabilities to automate operational tasks such as AI-generated flux commentary, automated reconciliation matching, and AI agents to assist with accrual automation.
What do you dislike about the product?
Although FloQast is on the right track, I believe there’s room for improvement in their flux analysis module to better compete with other solutions. Adding more flexibility and customization options to the variance analysis tool could take their product to the next level.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Floqast is solving the manual process of creating a month-end close checklist and fluxes via excel. This has made our lives easier because everything is centralized and we are able to easier find support files and recons in one location.

I like being able to quickly view which items have been completed and which are still outstanding across all team members.

we have had some technical issues with recs not updating.
I wouldn't say it is a dislike but it would be great if FloQast could integrate with less powerful accounting software like QBO or Xero.

it makes it a lot easier to know where each team member is at with their close without having to get an update from them directly

Great Software to Streamline Close
What do you like best about the product?
The service is easy to setup and use with little training time needed for employees. The ability to track and streamline close has been huge for our company.
What do you dislike about the product?
There should be additional flexibility in the fluctuation process (e.g. what periods can be compared). This is the only improvement that I can think of.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
FloQast has helped us streamline, organize, and manage the close process and control work. It makes priorities clear and improves close time.
Unmatched Visibility and Valuable Functionality!
What do you like best about the product?
FloQast gives unprecedented visibility and accuracy into month end close processes! This allowed us to cut down on the time taken for month-end close meetings by up to 50%.
What do you dislike about the product?
I haven't found any downsides to FloQast. The main pain point would be when someone makes an entry after uploading a reconciliation (which isn't a FloQast issue!). Thankfully, FloQast sends you a notification by email so the situation can be easily remedied.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
FloQast gives us connectivity into our ERP system so we know when our reconciliations are matching to the GL. It also provides a substantial amount of visibility into the entirety of the close process to our teams can track the progress we're making towards our month-end goals!
Floqast Really Saved Time and Made Recs so MUCH easier
What do you like best about the product?
It's organized and easy! Everything is in its place and reviewing things is so much better.
What do you dislike about the product?
Need to have recs in Excel, not PDF. Getting set up the first time took a bit to get used to.

Being able to keep track of the team's progress during month-end close has proven to be very useful.

I believe FloQast is quite an effective tool, there's not much to dislike!

Being able to keep track of our teammates progress during month-end closing is very beneficial, especially if you work in a fully remote environment.
User friendly and easy to use. Has workflow and audit capability. Easy to configure.

It is in the cloud and can be accessed from anywhere in the world. Less paper and can be used remote.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be tricky if you have a fiscal calendar. It would be nice to have sorting within the folders.

They are assisting with the trial balance going into the correct period as well as adding some sorting in the future.

Floqast is still relatively new to our team and we haven't had any complaints to this point.

Floqast is allowing us to complete our monthly financial reporting in a quicker and more efficient way.
User friendly, easy to learn alternative to other close management software
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use, has a lot of functions like auto-bank-rec, flux reporting. I like the check-boxes for recs and check-list items, very stream-line and easy to follow.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike that you have to roll-forward each months' recons. This is very inconvenient, as you need to manually drag each rec to the next month. Blackline rolls foward automatically each month.

I hope they are solving my roll-forward inconvenient that I've brought up before.
FloQast in a nutshell!
What do you like best about the product?
I love that FloQast is very user-friendly, easy to navigate, and doesn't require a lot of technical knowledge/experience to set up tasks, flux analysis reports, or use the analytics to view close trends. My favorite feature is being able to leave review comments and provide and see real-time dashboards that show completion and items past due.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only downside of using FloQast was trying to set up our account reconciliations at the right level for our organization. We had recently implemented Workday as our ERP system and certain accounts needed to be reconciled at a spend category level versus at the ledger, so setting that up to look like we wanted took a bit of time. I don't believe this would be an issue if you're using a traditional Chart of Accounts.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's helping our team meet tight deadlines and keep everyone accountable on their month-end tasks and reconciliations. We have a short turn around time to produce financials and this tool helps us meet those requirements.
