Floqast has been very effective in helping our team communicate our financial close processs
What do you like best about the product?
Floqast allows us to add commentary/notes
What do you dislike about the product?
Floqast is still relatively new to our team and we haven't had any complaints to this point.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Floqast is allowing us to complete our monthly financial reporting in a quicker and more efficient way.
User friendly, easy to learn alternative to other close management software
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use, has a lot of functions like auto-bank-rec, flux reporting. I like the check-boxes for recs and check-list items, very stream-line and easy to follow.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike that you have to roll-forward each months' recons. This is very inconvenient, as you need to manually drag each rec to the next month. Blackline rolls foward automatically each month.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I hope they are solving my roll-forward inconvenient that I've brought up before.
FloQast in a nutshell!
What do you like best about the product?
I love that FloQast is very user-friendly, easy to navigate, and doesn't require a lot of technical knowledge/experience to set up tasks, flux analysis reports, or use the analytics to view close trends. My favorite feature is being able to leave review comments and provide and see real-time dashboards that show completion and items past due.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only downside of using FloQast was trying to set up our account reconciliations at the right level for our organization. We had recently implemented Workday as our ERP system and certain accounts needed to be reconciled at a spend category level versus at the ledger, so setting that up to look like we wanted took a bit of time. I don't believe this would be an issue if you're using a traditional Chart of Accounts.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's helping our team meet tight deadlines and keep everyone accountable on their month-end tasks and reconciliations. We have a short turn around time to produce financials and this tool helps us meet those requirements.

Reconciliation Alerts that happen when items change
What do you dislike about the product?
Not much to dislike honestly. The site is always changing for the better and has helped our company manage
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
When Balance sheet accounts go off we are notified and we are able to fix it immediately

What do you like best about the product?
Easy to identify my open items. I appreciate the ability to receive and input comments for the reviewer.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes with zero balance, I can't sign off w/o a rec. It just requires reconciliation to sign off. If there's no balance in the account, you should be allowed to sign off.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Auto rec made it possible to reconcile a cash account with years of activity in a relatively short period. It allowed me to be more efficient with my time.

What do you like best about the product?
I love that it helps me keep track of what is needed next as well as lets me see where I am vs my colleagues
What do you dislike about the product?
Being reminded I'm behind on things can sometimes stress me out.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I don't have to write lists every month. They are there for me. Also when someone posts entries and it throws my reconciliations out of balance I find out right away instead of having to wait for the reviewer to tell me.
I like the ease of attaching recons and documents for processing and approval
What do you like best about the product?
I like that I can export my list of items with the due date so that all my items are turned in on time
What do you dislike about the product?
I sometimes have issues with the size of the file not wanting to refresh. I have found that I have to save the larger files to my desktop and move them to the drive I need before the refresh works.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It has helped to keep all of our tasks organized so that they are completed on time. It has also made it easier to fill in for co-workers to know what they have completed and what is still outstanding.
Streamlines close process
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use and ability to get a quick snapshot of close progress. Also great documentation for controls processes.
What do you dislike about the product?
Requires use of Dropbox which is added expense.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Streamlining our close process and as a controller it is a great tool for monitoring the close progress and ensuring reconciliations are being prepared and reviewed.
It has made month end close substantially more seamless

You can simultaneously sign off and review items

The amount of notifications is a bit overkill

It's expediting the timeliness of month end close

Extremely easy setup as well as being able to see quickly where we stand in the closing process.

Just a change of processes on where we save our files, nothing too big but a bit of change.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ability to track all reconciliations in one quick and easy look and as our team grows to be able to track where we stand in month end closing.
