Postman : Test your REST API
What do you like best about the product?
Postman is one of the most helpful tool for developers to test there rest APIs in a fly.
It saves time and let us test all kind of request like JSON, form-data multi part etc.
We can use an application or we can also use a browser extensions and plugins to test the request and response of APIs

What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes my apis work and validated on postman, but in real they are not validating the authorization tokens.
If you are working with multiple collections, sometimes it will be troublesome to manage.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Postman enable me to test the APIs in my application easily and also help in converting JSON to plain text quickly.

Its a magical tool, when it comes to test and validate your APIs, it empowers great features and let you test all kind of http requests GET, POST etc.

Postman: Easy to use HTTP client for developers
What do you like best about the product?
Postman is one of the most used tools since a very long time for testing REST API framework effectively. The thing I like the most, that it also comes as Google Chrome extension, so I have not to install it separately. Also, there are different tab panels for different projects; because of that, I can work on APIs of many projects at a time. Even l can locally duplicate the API without affecting the main server itself. UI is very clean and initiative. Regarding performance, it is phenomenal and also, the synching feature of it provides consistency in changes which is most crucial.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is some point for improvement such as SSL issue control can be provided to the user while testing API as well as for SOAP interface, more support is necessary nowadays. Other then that there are not any issues in postman I have never faced til this time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use postman to get the request and response structure of specific API for mobile app version implementation. Also, I can modify and test API locally without concerning the Database developer.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Postman is indeed a great tool for REST API testing and debugging. It is a free tool and has a very minimal learning curve. Even a beginner can use it effortlessly.

What do you dislike about the product?
- When I have to send a very large array I need will to enter the elements of the same one by one in the form. So it is the worse thing in postman. Also when testing with multi-level arrays is very hectic work in postman.
- Sometimes it takes a long time to open application.
- Their desktop version is stable. The plugin for Google Chrome has given me failures.

- Postman saves my effort and time to write multiple codes to test APIs.

API Testing is Easy with Postman
What do you like best about the product?
I really like this application because it makes API Testing easier. To test an API you need something flexible to send the requests and get the response or test your form with POST request So here is Postman where you can test Many request like:- GET, POST, PATCH, PUT etc. In Postman you can save your request but login is required, you can create documentation for your API's, you can create mock servers easily. It is more flexible then anything i loved this application.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike the performance of Postman in my Machine it takes lots of time to popup, they have to improve its performance because in low grade machine you can not even open it, it makes your system hang. That is annoying sometimes
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I usually create API's for mobile development, so every time i have to test from my side to give Restful API's so i uses Postman to give a shot on each and every requests to make my job done easily.

postman is one of the best tool for testing API 's which allows to send and receive data's for the methods such as POST, GET, VIEW, LOCK. we can easily store the result and export it for the frond end developers for there side scripting. we can test api's quickly with postman. and its an amazing tool for developers who are handling with api's. it also available as application and chrome extension.

it is the best software for APIS hitting and check the data with out using data base. In the software gives more features to the user . postman provides lot of functionalities to the user. its look and field is very good. we can check the test cases also from using postman. we can run multiple tabs at a time using postman. we can create new window

What do you like best about the product?
What I like most about working with postman is that when developing an API, you can easily test the requests you develop and share with the members of the development team, as well as adding examples of the requests for teams that are working in another part of the project, such as a web page or mobile application that will consume the API services accelerating the development process. It also has many features to test your API services such as the ability to chain requests and test response data.
What do you dislike about the product?
Something that I really dislike about Postman is the way in which you have to send the arrays in the requests, if you have to send a very large array you will have to enter the elements of the same one by one in the form of a list by hand and things They get worse with multi-level arrays.
Sometimes my projects do not synchronize when I log in to other devices and something that I also dislike are the few interface customization options.

With Postman it has been possible to detect errors in the structure of the requests and problems with the response data before releasing the final versions of the product.
We have also been able to replicate requests from third parties to learn how other companies do.

For those who use Postman on remote devices it is good to add examples to your requests and document as best as possible to have a good understanding between the different parts of the team.
Performance and Testing of REST API
What do you like best about the product?
There are tabs for hostroy and saved collections which are folder like structure of Same type of API calls. It supports All the HTTP calls, like POST, GET, DELETE, PUT, etc. Postman has great feature of providing request data and endpoints. You also can specify what type of data this request is carrying.
What do you dislike about the product?
Postman is great tool with great capabilities. It even generated code for the specified languages of request. So there is nothing to dislike about postman.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have used postman mostly for testing of API developed by me or other team members. I used it to measure performance and security of API. Postman helped me avoid some security flows and boosted performance of API.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I advice students mostly who have not even heard or used postman. While developing assignments and semester projects you can get extra help from Postman to test your APIs and start further development. It is mostly used in organization level. but anyone can use it as it is simple to learn on first sight of it.
