What do you like best about the product?
The best part about the postman tool is the simple rendering and usage of its features. Any newbie can use the device without much hustle. The Postman provides all necessary features like API testing, design, documentation, regression, collections, and so on, which makes the tool a one-stop solution to all the activities needed to be performed.
What do you dislike about the product?
The collections for API testing don't allow the user to use API-specific certificates instead made available as a standard-setting. This makes it difficult to add and remove certs each time the API request is made. The integtrations with other tool can be made better and easier. Security testing can also be added as one of the features.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm able to test the APIs of the application by creating collections and also individually. I'm able to run regression tests for these collections and also make the APIs run at specific time intervals. It provides a clean test report for the time taken with the number of passes and fails tests, along with status codes and responses. The time saved is vast as the tool provides a one-stop solution. I'm able to design and document the APIs which is created so quickly.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
People can blindly rely on this tool to perform all the activities regarding API like manual tests, regression tests, sanity tests, design, documentation. It's straightforward to use and provides excellent support and documentation for accessing the application. Also, the tool is free and can be downloaded quickly, and can be utilized without any limit.

While building API, postman plays major role to hit those APIs. It is simple and user friendly. UI also good

It will be better if it supports SOAP API also

The best part I love in postman is to dynamically declaration of the environments, global variables, local variables, we can also create scenarios that helps in testing
What do you dislike about the product?
Ummm, in the latest builds, I can feel some delay in applying environment changes. it does remain old even after selecting new env for around 10/15 seconds. else seems fine to me
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using postman in our REST API development ad this really helps us in getting pace in API implementation. The benefit of the postman is we can create collections that are sharable things and because it's a plain JSON, we can easily share this. t doesn't cost you.
Streamlined API Management with Real-Time Collaboration
What do you like best about the product?
I use Postman for keeping our API documented as a collection. I like that it's very easy to be onboarded, and we can import and export collections and fork them. I appreciate the real-time update feature because if my teammate updates the API, it reflects on my system, so I don't use outdated changes. Postman has more features, and many things can be easily configured, which made us switch from Swagger.
What do you dislike about the product?
Initially for the first-time user, it's a little tricky to be onboarded. As a new user, I want to know exactly how to add API or collections, or how import and export work.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Postman to keep API documentation organized as a collection, which allows me to find all APIs in one place with updated info. It offers real-time updates, making collaboration easier and ensures I don't use outdated changes.

For a software developer, [Android , IOS, Backend , Frontend ,Data engineer e.tc] this is a must-have tool
A go to tool for my API Testing
What do you like best about the product?
It's best for API Testing, API request, and response checking and also can have an API suite to run it in bulk for testing an Endpoint. Also, it has an option to create a workspace for API testing.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing to dislike about this tool is that it doesn't have the option to test SOAP endpoints conveniently. Also, it takes a lot of effort to create a bulk execution suite.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am using it for API testing for one of my clients. I have been using it for POST, GET, UPDATE, DELETE, PUT, PATCH requests, and to check the responses to have accurate data from MongoDB.

There are options for receiving responses like JSON ,text, etc. There should be some option to set a default value for this.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am creating API with Postman. I am converting my code to different programming languages also using its feature. It saves my much time as it has options to share a collection with the team.

I can be very original in getting the information and guidelines for planned website creation processes. My clients feel comfortable with the results and the coding employed for speed benefits, unique security guidelines, and optimization patches. It has internal policies that help overcome the learning curve, which is a bit difficult.

What do you like best about the product?
One of the best API platform i have ever used for building and using APIs. It help us to understand entire API lifecycle and thus make me more feasible and easily create better APIs and that to be in quick time.
The best think i like it allow us to store json so that whenever we are back into the app we can directly trigger to receive or send the request and response which reduce time to get results in a faster way.

What do you dislike about the product?
Overall it best app if one is designing or building any APIs. Sometime i felt like we doesn't receive proper response but for that too we are not getting any error response. This make me to troubleshoot and keep retrying.
Other than above there are more pros but not have any cons for same.

It help developers to have good understanding of APIs lifecycle in a simpler way and using this tool, one can have a better APIs and that too in a faster way. We can have test of all type of requests and have better transparency to developer to understand if something is not in a proper way as per the requirement.

Postman is the current leader in the market with full and mature features. You can collaborate your work with your team in the app itself. It allows to test for various environments and has an easy-to-use UI.
What do you dislike about the product?
If your need is to test a few APIs with minor features, the postman might not be the best place as it has more features that make it complex and not so beginner-friendly.

I use it for documentation of APIs, testing for various environments, and collaboration with teams.
