Quick and reliable

What do you like best about the product?
Takes out the headache of trying to run queries on an app
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes there are too many input fields that can get confusing for simple queries
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Postman allows us to quickly test our database API programmatically instead of constantly running through test cases in the app
Recommendations to others considering the product:
The UI is friendly and the functions are just what you need to quickly test your APIs instead of wasting time manually triggering GET and POST requests within your mobile app or website

Using to create manifests for specific types of shipments. This is a quick solution that allows us to stay ahead of the curve.

    Education Management

The most used software at work

  • October 30, 2018
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Very easy to save and manage API calls. Lot of great features to make lives of API developers easy. This is one tool every API developer must have. It is more powerful and easy to use compared to some of its competitors . It rolls out upgraded versions pretty often and usually new and good features are added. Lot of information about the information is made available to the users, including cookies.
What do you dislike about the product?
Probably when it was new, it was a bit hard to save and maintain requests for multiple environments, but now this is not the case. Saving or cloning can sometimes be a problem.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This is used to test API calls while developing or used by quality engineers to test various API calls. It is used to test our APIs on multiple environments, including our local boxes.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
A Must have tool for any API developer or tester. Definitely needs to be tried.

Postman is a powerful tool used to test web services in a simple and quick way.

What do you like best about the product?
I use the free version to test small applications for individual projects especially. I like it because it makes the development of APIs, fast and easy.
It has an intuitive interface that allows you to easily send requests, save variables and create collections that are easily shared with other users.
What do you dislike about the product?
Although its interface is simple, in the first uses it is not easy to find everything that the tool offers and requires some important technical knowledge and a learning time to get the most out of it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is an essential tool to test APIS easily and quickly. With a deeper knowledge, it allows you to add tests, create workflows and log each request and response for a detailed debugging.

Easy API testing tool that your QA team can use

  • October 19, 2018
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The fields are super easy to use and quick to fill out. It's good if you want your non-technical QA team to test your API for acceptance testing or can help customers use your API without having swagger set up
What do you dislike about the product?
If you switch types of the payload it doesnt preserve the data fields (e.g. plain text vs json)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's been great to have the QA team test out the API using Postman or give instructions for the end customers to do acceptance testing on their end

Essential for consuming APIs

  • October 02, 2018
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like the easy that becomes to test almost any kind of service, only by configuring some parameters and, if needed, the environment. The possibility to store and organize your requests by collections and folders is very useful too, joined to the different environments that you can configure (i.e. to test both DEV and PROD endpoints). And now, with the "workspaces" added recently you can share your collections even easily that before..
I maintain it always open in my computer, because I know I will use it several times per day
What do you dislike about the product?
Maybe that you have to pay for several options and it would be great if it support SOAP services.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I develop REST APIs that I have to test and call from the web (which I also develop) and Postmen let me to directly make the request I exactly want to test, without the need to navigate through the web to reach the button/form/link that also makes the call.

Great Tool for API Development

  • September 25, 2018
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It has a very low entry barrier. I simply downloaded Postman and got to work right away. Also like that it can handle sessions from the browser.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's hard to find something I dislike. Maybe something local to the app to invite new users to collections.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We needed some way to easily test our API endpoints. We were currently either calling it directly in the browser, or hooking it up to our front end and debugging from there. Postman has made API development so much easier, with instant results.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Explore all the features it has to offer.
