"First GO TO" thing for Application interface communication
What do you like best about the product?
It's a first choice for API testing,as it made tester life easier.
It helps them to test API (almost supports all HTTP method) with various response codes and able to write the functional test suite by creating a simple template.
People can document the api data in collection and share team by creating workspace
People can access the saved documents anywhere anytime by logging into their account in postman app or postman browser extension.
It's compatible for Mac OS, windows and linux
In the Agile methodology world, api testing becomes smooth due to this postman.
We can import the api data by file,curl ,HTML XML, json, CSV,postman collection in various formats.

What do you dislike about the product?
Even though it has lot of features for API testing, not suited one for SOAP API
It's not compatible for reuse the predefined scripts for new usecase. We need to create testscripts everytime.we can get test results only through html ,json.So we are not able to use for test execution analysis. It's not supports cross platform like webui and mobile.

It majorly helps to test the rest api with various success codes and responses.
In Agile methodology, we need to test the whole product step by step once it developed

The most useful API testing tool.
What do you like best about the product?
when I started my career as a back-end engineer I was using online API testing websites like extendclass.com and then I began using postman I was stunned at how easy it was to use and how user-friendly it was. It honestly saved a lot of my time while testing APIs.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing I don't like about postman is its high memory and high CPU usage, which sometimes crashes in between my work.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It was really useful for me while I was testing APIs because it is so much faster and because of that my productivity gradually increased. The thing that was interesting about postman is that it saves the previously sent API requests so that we can use them whenever we want.
Easy to use, simple yet very powerful
What do you like best about the product?
We currently use postman to test the hundreds of APIs we have with our ERP (PLEX). We have found postman to be a crucial part of our analysis prior to developing an application since it allows us to review input/outputs for HTTP Calls
What do you dislike about the product?
Basically, for the use we have with this application, I cannot recall anything I dislike about it. It is so easy to use and allows for cloud sync so that you can work on the go; Postman will save your collections, APIs, Environments, etc.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Postman is solving for us API testing before developing an application; this is especially helpful in figuring out the resources needed to create projects that need to function as RESTful web applications.

What do you like best about the product?
Postman is one of the best in market products for testing newly developed apis. Heavily relied on Postman for this purpose. It has many features like adding authorisation headers

What do you like best about the product?
Postman is one of the best open-source API clients out there it has all the features which one can need in API development and it makes it very easy for developers to create, test, and make documentation for APIs.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing I dislike about Postman is that it takes up too much of the hardware resources.

Postman has helped me very much in my career as a software developer it greatly helps in testing APIs and making API documentation. and also it has a great user experience.
Ideal for manual and auto testing
What do you like best about the product?
The fact that I can add use collection, see the history of APIs I have hit and also store the APIs and create a team to share my hits to the rest of the team is what makes postman an excellent software to use. It also reduces the curl function, which was used before that
What do you dislike about the product?
The software is a little heavy on the system when used alongside other services of Spring Boot or VS Code; I don't know if it is specific to Linux ubuntu or if that happens to other Operating Systems as well.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I can create a team and share all the APIs with the other team members and also share the response of the APIs that I have hit in my private space or the team space.
Good option for API testing and development
What do you like best about the product?
We can save our workspace and share it among our fellow employees. All the options are clearly visible in the menu, with simple UI and more handy features like documentation we can easily maintain with this.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are no such dislikes which I'd found in this software. I found some difficulties while using the collections feature of the Postman. Else things were fine.

In our organization, we used this software for API development, maintaining documentation for our list of APIs and used it to validate the results as on the live server.,

This is a wonderful tool for doing or testing API requests; it's crucial when you're developing or simply want to test without having to deal with cumbersome settings.
What do you dislike about the product?
If you want to set a content type to JSON, you must first choose "raw"; otherwise, "JSON" will not be an option. At first, it seemed confusing.

What do you like best about the product?
The all in one solution for server side testing. Have been using Postman since a decade. Best tool for testing API's . It allows to have individual as well as team shared workspace, it helps when working within a tool. It has the option to have collections to sort and save all our requests withing a structured way.
The runner option helps a lot in creating prequisite data for automation and for testing performance.
It makes easier for us to test all realted API's bunched in a collection whenever there are any chnages done to a feature/particular part of the software.

What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly I have nothing to dislike as we use it on daily basis for testing API's. Reusability is an issue when it comes to scripting, but since we mostly use it for server side calls its an efficient tool for us.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use postman to test the new API request, existing API's that could have been affected due to any changes. Sorting the managing the requests in a collection actually helps to run and validate the API's pre production and even after production deployment.

What do you like best about the product?
Postman is the best API Platform for getting responses from API endpoint execution. It has many advanced features like integration with Jenkins, RAML etc. It is used for Automation API testing.
What do you dislike about the product?
When it comes to handling global variables, postman faces cons. Postman doesn't support SOAP APIs and some other APIs. Testers need to re-write scripts while creating new projects.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Postman helps me when I need to create, share, test and make documentation of APIs. Whenever I build an API, I will use postman to test it. Postman is available in both web and desktop-based applications.
