Use a client application to test an API.
What do you like best about the product?
The installation component is simple to configure because it is available as a Chrome extension and does not require internal authorization. It is also simple to test the service of several apps using the APIS with different calls. It is an excellent solution because placing each APIS call in its folder is simple.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't detest anything. This feature helps just for testing APIs and performs this task admirably. When using postman, I haven't had any issues.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Before any data entered production, Postman was already assisting the company. By importing your codebase, you may configure it as you see fit. Doing so facilitates the process, which increases the asset's productivity and the team as a whole.

Simplest free test tool
What do you like best about the product?
The possibility to generate automatic test cases from swagger/open API JSON documents. Set up pre/post scripts with JS to programmatically set up vars to use in your test cases.
What do you dislike about the product?
We try to use Postman to execute load tests but we find it's not very powerful as JMeter or other tools.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Developing fast and simple API test cases for our dev teams solves the problems of passing information from analysts to devs. When we need to study external API services, often with poor documentation, Postman is a very good companion to explore them in deep.

What do you like best about the product?
Postman is the platform uaing which my fear for API got rid off. Itis a platform using which we can call and get data from any API using any lf the authorisation method. It even allow us to add headers and even to increase timeout error for API to return data.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it masks the error and shows unauthorised error instead of the real error.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Being data analyst getting data from an API is most frequent task that we perform. To test the API and get the sample sata for better understanding Postman is the platform using which we can test the authorisation and even the sample data.

The interface is very intuitive and powerful at the same time (usually a difficult task).
The Monitoring tool is very handy, and in addition to the slack connection you don't miss anything.

The syntaxis of the Test Cases is just a bit complex.
It uses a javascript syntaxis, but with some addition of PostMan variables.
We make it all work as I desired but it cost a bit.

Initially, we've been looking for a way to write API documentation with examples. It does very well and professional.
Later we found the Monitoring tool very handy. So now we know if we have downtime or slow responses on our API before customers.

Great API Testing Tool
What do you like best about the product?
Postman is definitely one of the best API testing tools that I have come across. It is quite feature-rich with environments and variables making it quite easy to test and see how the APIs behave before deploying them in a real-time environment.
What do you dislike about the product?
Version management and request encryption schemes can be simplified or made better. Other than that, there is nothing much to dislike about the tool as it served me well.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
My use case was to test out different APIs before using them in a production environment and this helped a lot with the same. It was quite easy to deploy them to our required RPA solution afterwards.

Helps me to test all my api's and it provides all the errors and show all the data in different types of formats. It makes things so much easier

What do you like best about the product?
Postman can be a one-stop solution for setting up great testing collections for software developers. Features like setting up environment variables and easily setting up authentication flows for APIs, it makes testing a lot easier.
What do you dislike about the product?
Have had a great time with Postman, no major gripes as such. Having said that, however, I find that the UI can seem not intuitive at times.

Easy to create test suites. Postman allows you to create test suites and collections of integration test cases.
It allows to share and move the test cases from one system to another system and environments. This makes it extremely easy to use.

The problem with this tool is, it's not a professional tool.
Exporting and importing should be one step process rather than going through collections, environments and globals.
API load testing doesn't run client-side scripts.

Great tool for exercising APIs, manually testing them, documenting them and even sharing across a team.
It has become much easier to work with URLs using postman instead of doing tedious tasks via command line.
