Simple, Easy to understand and efficient API testing tool
What do you like best about the product?
I use postman for my API Testing work, and It's a straightforward and excellent tool for API Testing. UI is neat and precise, easy to understand and work. It offers almost all the features required to test APIs. Postman allows the creation of Collections which helps in creating API Automated tests. Collections can be run with different data sets making tests Data-driven.
The use of assertions, Environments, etc., is effortless and one of the best tools for beginners. Users can record requests using the pipeline feature and build suites.

What do you dislike about the product?
I don't see any negatives, but SOAP testing I have not explored as it mainly supports REST requests.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have not faced any problems with the postman. Postman helped me to minimize the time required in API regression with the use of regression suites created with it.

What do you like best about the product?
It is user-friendly, with easy to use, and the UI they provide is great . It supports many functionalities , all the HTTP methods, it can be used by a newbie too

There are too many tabs in postman , some times it may be overwhelming for a new user, other than that, its good

I do API Testing with postman and it's easy to use , I have been using Postman for a while now and would surely recommend to everyone

it is used for API testing and the select method is direct and JSON method. we used to create JSON data and check for API data and Use Postman as a REST client to create and execute queries. (Postman also works with SOAP and GraphQL.

memory cache consumption and open time is very high

Best tool for api management & performance visualisation
What do you like best about the product?
Easily understandable for beginners. You can create an online workspace & share it with your team. The best thing is to configure multiple hosts so we don't have to change API various times. The best way to test API & visualize its performance - there is no limit for the execution of the api.

Nothing to dislike. Lifesaver tool for the developers. The integrations with other tools can be made better & easier.

Test api for different hosts - can import the collection of the projects api easily & test and visualise the performance.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am currently working as a Automation Engineer so my day to day work requires me to work on API so postman helps me to testout all the APIs end to end and then automate it for ease

What do you like best about the product?
Postman is a very straightforward API testing tool with no comlications at all. Postman makes it simple and easy to use. You can do more with default processes, apply variables, input files, set schedules. Simply, you can make the app work for you !. Postman provides an excellent framework for writing automated tests for our software. It is easy to edit and use complete test suits with a single click. Allows you to test your API. It is very easy to keep different APIs organized. Managing testing is also good. It is very helpful in or posting your configuration and sharing it with your partner. The ability to write test scripts is a very rewarding feature. Very easy to set up. Supports obtaining the desired results in a timely manner.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don’t have many dislikes here; the software is excellent, and it does what I expect it to do. More recently, the software was reversing the changes itself. Sometimes this happens as you are writing a test. Sometimes, the changes are gone when you return to the collection the next day. There seems to be a problem with the sync function. We often notice that packages that have been completely removed go back to work, seemingly just a coincidence. Sometimes it does not provide a complete picture of why the API failed. "Add certain topics to your application, regardless of your authorization, and sometimes this leads to an error response from my background APIs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am currently working in an IT Company, and I need to test some API daily as if any cases failed business will effect. Postman has become a handy tool for me to test API. Also, my company recommends using Postman to employees.

I will recommend using Postman to newbies to the technology or API testing also.

What do you like best about the product?
Simple and easy to use design like easy switch between type of payload raw/xml/json. And has logs feature, which helps us to see old api response. Has many features to use, which makes developer life easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
Frequently asks for update. They recently removed the scroll from api response tab. They should add close all with save feature and close all without save feature.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Api testing. Document api's with proper comments. Sharing the collection with team. Make a collection of api's. Run the test cases on whole collection. Parallel testing of multiple collectins.

What do you like best about the product?
Generally, the API methods( GET, POST, PUT, DELETE) are confusing when you don't have any idea about the application programming interface. But, Postman helps in differentiating the methods. All the methods are available as a dropdown. So that one can understand the methods very easily by testing. Moreover, the output can be viewed in JSON format, which is very helpful in analyzing the received data.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only dislike regarding Postman is its interface. I don't think it is user-friendly as multiple tabs are present on a single page. Sometimes, I get confused about where to enter what.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I test my APIs using Postman. Testing the APIs directly through the application is complex. Postman gives me the flexibility to view data in the format I need (JSON). It helped me to finish my work faster.
Ease of use
What do you like best about the product?
The User Interface is simple and easy to understand. We can explain to a new user about the Postman's working and functionalities easily and the other person can quickly grab the things that we explain. The import and export of collections are top notch.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is nothing to dislike specifically. The collection export with version 1 seems to be faulty and not compatible with the version 2. If there is an inbuilt conversion , it will be helpful
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The APIs testing have become easier with the Postman. The separation of params , Authorization, headers, body and pre-requisite scripts , tests and settings really feels better. It almost supports all the authentications right from 'no auth' to OAuth2.0

For API development and testing, it is a must have tool. Certainly recommend
