One stop tool for APIs testing & Monitoring.
What do you like best about the product?
The Ease of use with loads of features that helps in making API testing easy such as Test module where we can write Javascripts and test most of the scenarios and use environment varaibles to automatically pass the auth token to any API in the collections.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not much except that I wished they would release a Dark mode! And include more snippets in the test module. Also, have a way to identify the latest version of the APIs, which will help use the correct version all the time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
All the APIs manual testing is done using the Postman and the test module, being an open source and loaded with so much capabilities is helping me not to look at anyother options in the market.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Postman is one of the best tools for API testing and monitoring. With the features like test modules, API flows, and mock servers, one doesn't need anything else when it comes to API testing.

Intuitive UI, help and support, Easy to understand, Collaboration ways, variables, collections

Need to pay for more services and users, no job scheduler

Testing API directly, viewing response in raw and json format, using variables for test and prod and stage environments

I have not really found anything to dislike in Postman. It does it's job excellently.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have used Postman to test out APIs and share API collections with other developers. It is a very useful way to also determine if our code has a problem or the API is having an issue.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Excellent tool, takes less than an hour to get very comfortable using it.

I like that it's very easy to use, it has almost all the HTTPs requests available in the market.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's quite complicated for the end-user to use, very technical and less "buisness UI" software.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It can access all the relevant APIs in easy steps. It saves a lot of time in comparison to the regular API access.

There is some lagginess when we start postman, Works perfectly with REST API, not with Soap or other API's, Complex Integration with Applications, Little Hard to understand for Newbie,

This product helps us to Create and test thousands of API easily, it's very user-friendly, can test multiple APIs on one go. This is the second software I use after writing the code. This is a must tool for a software developer and tester.

Go for it, it is easy to use and helps you to save a lot of time with your API development and testing.
Postman as a tool for testing API endpoints
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use for team members outside of the Software Development team, workspaces, and being able to save all different sorts of things (URLs, methods, headers, parameters, etc.)
What do you dislike about the product?
No downsides for the kind of use cases I work with (i.e. rather simple API endpoint testing).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
One of the products we offer is integration with our DB via API, so there is no frontend to test from. We use Postman to test API functionality and data accuracy before releasing to our clients.
Best tool for organising apis
What do you like best about the product?
It allows user to store all the apis in a single collection. It is a tool which allows both developers and testers to test apis.
What do you dislike about the product?
UI of the Postman tool can be better. Also, installing the software on an Ubuntu machine is a bit difficult process it can be made easy.

Being a part of the QA team, i test all the apis shared by the developers using the Postman tool. I also use it to store my apis collection.

What do you like best about the product?
The best part about the postman tool is the simple rendering and usage of its features. Any newbie can use the device without much hustle. The Postman provides all necessary features like API testing, design, documentation, regression, collections, and so on, which makes the tool a one-stop solution to all the activities needed to be performed.
What do you dislike about the product?
The collections for API testing don't allow the user to use API-specific certificates instead made available as a standard-setting. This makes it difficult to add and remove certs each time the API request is made. The integtrations with other tool can be made better and easier. Security testing can also be added as one of the features.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm able to test the APIs of the application by creating collections and also individually. I'm able to run regression tests for these collections and also make the APIs run at specific time intervals. It provides a clean test report for the time taken with the number of passes and fails tests, along with status codes and responses. The time saved is vast as the tool provides a one-stop solution. I'm able to design and document the APIs which is created so quickly.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
People can blindly rely on this tool to perform all the activities regarding API like manual tests, regression tests, sanity tests, design, documentation. It's straightforward to use and provides excellent support and documentation for accessing the application. Also, the tool is free and can be downloaded quickly, and can be utilized without any limit.

While building API, postman plays major role to hit those APIs. It is simple and user friendly. UI also good

The best part I love in postman is to dynamically declaration of the environments, global variables, local variables, we can also create scenarios that helps in testing

Ummm, in the latest builds, I can feel some delay in applying environment changes. it does remain old even after selecting new env for around 10/15 seconds. else seems fine to me

We are using postman in our REST API development ad this really helps us in getting pace in API implementation. The benefit of the postman is we can create collections that are sharable things and because it's a plain JSON, we can easily share this. t doesn't cost you.
