Postman - Test your API
What do you like best about the product?
Generally, the API methods( GET, POST, PUT, DELETE) are confusing when you don't have any idea about the application programming interface. But, Postman helps in differentiating the methods. All the methods are available as a dropdown. So that one can understand the methods very easily by testing. Moreover, the output can be viewed in JSON format, which is very helpful in analyzing the received data.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only dislike regarding Postman is its interface. I don't think it is user-friendly as multiple tabs are present on a single page. Sometimes, I get confused about where to enter what.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I test my APIs using Postman. Testing the APIs directly through the application is complex. Postman gives me the flexibility to view data in the format I need (JSON). It helped me to finish my work faster.
Ease of use
What do you like best about the product?
The User Interface is simple and easy to understand. We can explain to a new user about the Postman's working and functionalities easily and the other person can quickly grab the things that we explain. The import and export of collections are top notch.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is nothing to dislike specifically. The collection export with version 1 seems to be faulty and not compatible with the version 2. If there is an inbuilt conversion , it will be helpful
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The APIs testing have become easier with the Postman. The separation of params , Authorization, headers, body and pre-requisite scripts , tests and settings really feels better. It almost supports all the authentications right from 'no auth' to OAuth2.0
Recommendations to others considering the product:
For API development and testing, it is a must have tool. Certainly recommend

What do you like best about the product?
This is the best API testing application i have used till date. This tool is power packed with a lot of features which makea it vwry powerful. The fact that it allows you to write sime codes as well is also very good
What do you dislike about the product?
I do not like the way the tool handles large chunk of data. We experience slowness and some times the application hangs middle use. If your data is not saved it could cause real damage
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We test our api using this application. We can look after the entire data very easily without the need to put a lot of effort. Further all the log are capturef which helps us in case of documentation

What do you like best about the product?
Postman is an API client that makes it easy to create, share, test APIs. UI is simple and easy. I have used postman with Eclipse to test my REST API and it's simple when compared to it's competitors.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's nothing as of now I think postman is missing. For me it has always worked fine and better. Sometimes there's occasional software failure, which is very rare.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have created RESTFUL APIs and with the help of postman I've been testing those APIs making call, hitting URLs and it's easy to go and test one's API. It has been useful to me.

Every feature is very much liked. im a software developer, I test my APIs using postman, with postman i am able to check how the result is getting from APIs and can post data to API and check its response; another major feature is we can work as a team by creating account and all teammembers can access all APIs, so sharing is easy. another feature is it can be used as web app and desktop app mostly i use desktop app
What do you dislike about the product?
the desktop app is a bit slow in loading that's the only issue to say; otherwise its a good friend

I think this is the first product where I cannot find any drawbacks, and I do not have any dislikes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
All API testing, whether it is internal or external, we are doing with Postman.

Great tool for utilizing APIs
What do you like best about the product?
I love how Postman allows you to learn how to utilize new APIs and fine tune ones you already know.
What do you dislike about the product?
I can honestly say there isn't anything that I dislike about Postman!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using it to test API integrations between two heavily used systems where I work. It allows us to rapidly test REST API calls when preparing to integrate the two systems.

What do you like best about the product?
Virtual work environment and hassil free import and export of work environment help a lot.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing much to dislike since Postman team works to make the tool user-friendly with the best UI; I cant bet any user can understand and use postman in 10 min.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
API security testing is made a cakewalk with the postman.
Excellent and helpful tool
What do you like best about the product?
Simple UI. Navigation is easy. Multiple collections allow for good organization. Automatic syncing of collections is incredibly helpful. Exporting collections makes sharing them very easy/helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
Being added to teams is tricky since the added used does not immediately have access to all collections. Request logging could be better in determining whether an error might be a gateway issue or application issue.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Postman to test API development, which excels in that area. I am easily able to set up collections for my different APIs. The request parameter and response windows are prominent and allow me a good look into my requests/responses.

What do you like best about the product?
Postman has a straightforward UI that allows non-technical users to interact with APIs in a meaningful way. I use it to test our APIs, as well as trigger specific jobs and processes.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is not much to dislike. I am able to create collections of requests, and quickly duplicate them so that I can create variations. This allows me to quickly build an automated test suite.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am testing all the APIs produced by our Engineering department. Postman provides a tangible benefit to our company because I can actively support our partners that use our API.
