Best tool for testing apis
What do you like best about the product?
It's simple UI makes easier for anyone to use. We can use different request methods like post , get , put etc
What do you dislike about the product?
It is more memory consuming , sometimes , otherwise it has been a good friend of mine
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Postman has always been part of my office work , it eases my work

The best api testing tool and boon for frontend developers.
What do you like best about the product?
There are many things to list down here:
1. Postman is a complete package as far as api testing is concerned.
- You can create a basic request, the user experience is very friendly. Simple dropdown to select type of request type, pass body, headers and what not in a very easy way
- You can create a collection of all your endpoints with the result and share them across the team bringing the communication required for integration of api between a frontend and backend developer to zero and saves a lot of useful time.
- You can create different environments like local, staging, production or any other of your choice and test the same endpoint across different environments.
- You can create and publish beautiful api documentation, and publish it making

What do you dislike about the product?
Well, there is everything that you can think of it in from api testing point go view.
You can create simple request, different environments, environment variables, collections, pass and see request headers, request authorisation, body parameters in raw, form-data, binary, x-www-form-urlencoded, graphql, in json, xml, text, html, js format
I can't think of anything that I disliked, the ease of access is also superb and comes very natural.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are a team of software developers, primarily using javascript, many a times we divide our tasks like taking on the backend development first and pass on the api endpoints to members working on the frontend tasks which make them helpful to understand and see the exact response from the server and help them design the entities and use data structures accordingly.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I have seen software developer firms, where backend developer after finishing their task story sit with front-end developers and explain them how to consume the api.
Which is very time consuming and an odd process to follow.
Postman is the key here, automates the process and no communication or explanation would be required.

Amazing Tool for Testing APIs
What do you like best about the product?
Postman allows us to move the test cases form one system to another with a readable and good GUI.
It allows to create test suites too.

Other tools provide codeless webservice testing which postman doesnt

Postman is easily integrated with Jenkins and free to use.

What do you like best about the product?
I like to work with postman as it has been receiving updates to improve the look and usage. Display of icons is appealing and easy to use

I would not dislike anything other than the steps for usage which is not listed in any part of the postman help area(I might be wrong too - I have not got a chance to see a user guide.)

What do you like best about the product?
Its a nice product for testing APIs . It also allows to save a collections of URLs, which can be utilized further. It also allows sharing of collection URLs across internet from local, so other people also have access to my collection at local.
What do you dislike about the product?
well, it doesn't have much downside but one of the bad feature is whenever I edit a existing collection, it doesn't ask me to save the previous versions , it saves the latest data automatically.

Postman is very helpful when you want to test your APIs.In the development phase , where there is no front end, its of great use to test backend functionality. UI is very simple to use and understand. Love the product.

Postman is very easy to understand and use. I recommend it if you want to test your API functionality. If you are at development phase ,it is very helpful to check API features. It is also very helpful when you want to test a API which is created by other team or other person.
There are some features which alone can't be tested by browser, You can add use to test security features of your API. you can provide authentication headers, along with type of request like get,put,post,delete. Along with these you can also provide request body of API to test it. When you get a complete response in output, you can debug your application on the basis of it.
I will rate postman as one of the developer best friend.

What do you like best about the product?
Clear UI, with good ability to manage your different messages and get these settings synced.
What do you dislike about the product?
The UI could be refined in the way of displaying data, to give the user a better overview of messages.

Postman allows you to create multiple API-messages, with auth set up, and structure these messages.

Not really anything to dislike- it does what it says on the tin!

Worked well for testing little APIs that were created and Postman solved the problem as it didn't require much setup to start working with it. It allowed us to confirm that APIs were indeed working and what the response was of any endpoints

Go for it- it's the simplest API tool you can use!

The best part of Postman is their documentation. It's easy to read and written for amateurs and professionals.

Nothing yet. I've only been using postman for about a week to test one of my companies Api's

Our company was having issues returning information for their zip codes. I was able to send a request to our API and found out what was causing the problem.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I definitely recommend giving it a try for API testing. If you do not understand how to use it, google instructions and it will take you straight to their documentation.

How organized it is. How easy it is to manage all your queries, create new requests or sharing it with someone
