Great development platform
What do you like best about the product?
Outsystems enables you to create good looking applicaions with complicated functionalities in a short time span. I spent less time on dumb repetitive tasks en more time on the complex parts of my applications. The model gives me a good insight how the application works. I basicly write my "code" and the design at the same time. You can debug your model the same way as you would debug code.
They have a good vision towards the future with AI supported software development. Looking forward to using Outsystems Mentor AI on the new ODC cloud platform.

What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes after publishing your code it takes a while before it works or you need to delete your cookies.

What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about OutSystems is how easy it makes building apps without needing tons of coding experience. The drag-and-drop interface is super intuitive, so you can get an app up and running really fast. Plus, it’s simple to make changes on the fly, which is great for adapting to feedback or shifting project needs. OutSystems also integrates really well with other systems, so you don’t get stuck with compatibility issues. Overall, it’s just a solid platform that lets you create and update apps quickly without the usual headaches!
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing much to add here, except for the fact that the new offerings are made only available for ODC and not also for O11 users :)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
OutSystems also simplifies integrating with other systems we rely on, which used to be a huge headache. Now, we can easily connect to databases, APIs, and external services, which saves us a lot of time. Another great benefit is that non-developers on our team can help build and modify apps, which takes some pressure off the core development team. Overall, OutSystems is helping us work faster, collaborate better, and respond to business needs much more flexibly.

Forget High Code, Low Code is the ONLY way to go!

Speed of development, range of out of the box connectors to integrate with variety of middleware and/or database services. Structured development and complete abstraction from the low level code.

Release management is my biggest concern as parallel development depends on feature toggling only. This leads to a lot of code and functionality management issues.

Building Digital Portals for Life Insurance customers. OutSystems help with delivery execution with high speed of code development.

Limited customization and integration, performance in complex and data heavy applications might not be as fast as a native one, expensive.

Easy to build, use and mantain the exist code

Less control on some logic and sometimes Studio crashes many times a day.

Outsystems allows the developer focus only on BL abstrating all the dummy issues that can happen in tradicional development like miss a dot or a comma.

Infinite capabilities that it offers to developers in order to achieve the requirements

Currently the changing in licensing affected many small customers that were driven out of Outsystems, creating some unemployment. Although everyone needs to make a living, there should be alternatives for SME.

Development time and ease of learning.
