OutSystems: My Go To Development Platform for Modern Enterprise Solutions
What do you like best about the product?
Easy Drag and drop widgets. No setup is needed apart from OutSystems Installations. I can transform my ideas into the minimum viable product in very less time. Compared with others, I find it very easy to learn things faster with the learning materials and support documents available online. Easily we can transform other software developers to adapt to OutSystems and scale up the development team.
What do you dislike about the product?
When the customer uses any specific out-of-date software (such as MS-Access) or any big manual process which involves multiple third parties, it becomes a complex integration with OutSystems. It will be excellent if out-of-box integration solutions are available for least used software, though it covers all the latest integrations such as SAP, Salesforce, MongoDB, etc.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It pretty much improves the time to market new digital solutions for enterprise customers. We can transform a traditional developer to learn OutSystems in 2 weeks' time and engage in development activities. We just need OutSystems installed so that we can start converting our user stories into viable web/mobile solutions.
How I fell in love with Low-Code.
What do you like best about the product?
After finishing College, I was introduced to many programming languages and it strikes me that I am not good at memorizing syntax, proper tags, and frustrating colons or ending in a code of line. With Outsystems not only do you have an easy approach to programming it also has the versatility to integrate another programming language into it. At the same time if ever you faced an issue or road block to development. You can always trust the community forums in solving the issues quite easily.
What do you dislike about the product?
Currently for Outsystems, When it comes to developing projects with many members it sometimes lags in times of publishing. But I think all of that is attributed to the capacity of the server if it's near full.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
1. Promotes low code in development, somehow can easily be understood by other people that will handle the same project.

What do you like best about the product?
The intitutive UI developed by Outsystems has been so easy to work with. Also, the learning paths that outsystems have really help a lot clear majority of doubts.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing as such to dislike. If i have to mention one thing so that would be that the documentation webpage could be improved a little more for people to grasp it faster. Other than this, so far so good!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Outsystems help in solving major buisness problems of intergrating and automating ideas with the simplistic drag and drop features creating a buisness logic which can even be understood by a layman leading to better explanations and conversations with clients.

It is simple to pick up and can be extended a lot by customisation. No need for understanding the underlying platform if use cases are not very complex.

Sometimes feels like customisation takes more time than coding it directly

Creating apps as Outsystems manages a lot of the tedious parts

1. Difficult to modify or override the standard widgets, modules
2. Sometimes need to use javascript to handle difficult logic and interaction which is violated Outsystems aims
3. Not friendly on API integration if some parameter no need to pass in the JSON body, OUtsystems will set the default value such as an empty string which is not accepted by Other system

Outsystems have a visualization of what you will create so you can see in advance and know exactly what your product will be.
With drag & drop, you do not have to know coding to create systems.

One of the most difficult part of learning to use Outsystems is you must learn some system logic, data structure if you want to go through all parts of creating a full-cycle system

Outsystems help me know that it is not difficult to create a website or an application. As a consulting company, we can use this lowcode platform to help our customers.

Outsystems have to be online for it to be working which is quite disappointing

What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use, with complex components already built in. The capacity of using javascript to extend functionalities places this platform far ahead of the competition.
What do you dislike about the product?
Typical programmers tend to dislike visual programming at first. It's only after working for few weeks on it that people will realize how pre-built components and connectors can speed up delivery.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With Oustystems we can help organizations develop skills to become actors in their solutions. As a result, our customers can have better control, which overall leads better success.
OutSystems may be good for simple application but not good at large complex application.
What do you like best about the product?
I like the best at making prototyping modeling of the applications easily.

I dislike the difficulty of finding the bug on the complex large application.

Outsystems solves the problem which recognition discrepancy after releasing application.

The platform is intuitive, has features that allow you to develop complex applications in a sustainable way, in addition to having great documentation and an active community willing to help.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like the platform to have a better experience in terms of creating advanced queries and better support for building javascript scripts within the platform, such as the option to debug the code natively.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Outsystems has tried to make some processes even simpler and brought usability improvements. The feature that I have liked the most lately is the dark mode, present in the most recent versions.
