What do you like best about the product?
Adverity offers very good balance between customization possibilities for advance data transformers and an easy to operate user interface. As a marketeer you can get in control of your data without relying on 3rd parties (e.g. IT or agency).
What do you dislike about the product?
You always get very good support via the help desk when needed. And there was never a problem unsolved so far. But in general the documentation for the different connectors could still improve in the future. What are the specific characteristics of a data source, what kind of data can you expect and what general transformations did other customers do to improve the quality of the data sets? Answering these kind of questions would make us even more self-reliant.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We wanted to track a return on marketing investment on an international basis. We were struggling with aggregating data in a reasonable time from a variety of data sources. In many cases we were not even able to get hold of the original data as marketing activities were completely managed by agencies. Thanks to the automation possibilities, Adverity reduces the amount of work not only for us but also for local partners.
Beyond ETL: add more intelligence to your dashboard
What do you like best about the product?
Adverity is a very stable and powerful suite of platforms when it comes to extract, transform, and visualize data. But what is more important is the possibility to enhance a dashboard with the usage of scripts, virtually transforming a dashboard into a "machine" making calculation based on your own rules and/or algorithms. Datatap + Insights are in my opinion a must for an agency or a large corporation: within the same organisation you are able to structure the accounts for your client, you have 2FA while logging in, you can easily schedule and share a dashboard as email attachment, and more.
What do you dislike about the product?
Power implies some times complexity and due to the variety of possibilities this suite of tools offers, you may experience a fairly long "learning period" to use both platforms. This depends of course on your own experience with ETL tools or database or coding, and so on. However, Adverity has an onboarding program and the suport team is kickass, so if you need help you will get that!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Reporting is quite often a time-consuming task, with Adverity we reached a high level of automation saving precious time that we could spend on other tasks. However what is struck me most is not only the capacity of "solving problems" but rather the possibility to develop new tools and going beyond the simple "figures and nice graphs" that you could do even with Excel and PowerPoint.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Value has a cost, so if you are thinking that you can do the same things with Data Studio I'm afraid you are wrong. Considering the stability, the potential, the support (!), the fee for Adverity is well used money.
Automation made Easy
What do you like best about the product?
The combination of a best-in-class UI and incredibly proactive support helped us complete a full automation of our marketing reporting infrastructure in less than 30 days. I don't often praise vendors so strongly, because usually something goes awry, but I can honestly say this platform and the teams that support it is a no-brainer. It works exactly as advertised.
What do you dislike about the product?
If I had any feedback, it would be that the data cleaning process in-platform is powerful, but can involve a ramp up time for users not already familiar with python. Perhaps building training in to the onboarding process with the top ten cleaning scripts would be helpful. However the support team is so proactive and talented, this didn't pose any threat to our aggressive project timeline.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our marketing programs involve over 25 vendors, three data warehouses, and tracks $XXX million dollars in acquisition marketing activity. Before Adverity, the reporting process took 3 FTE resources to support, and was only able to provide performance data on a weekly basis. With Adverity, it now takes one analyst less than a minute per day to provide incredibly granular, self service reports that serve everyone from the C suite to the individual channel managers and their teams.
What's more, this time savings has enabled our analysts to grow from simply being report generators to being true analytics leaders, digging deep into complex measurements so that we can grow the business intelligently.

Get to the product demo at least. Once you see the back end, you'll see the ease and power of the platform. It works just like that.
Extremely flexible solution for marketing data needs, with a steep learning curve
What do you like best about the product?
The platform (both DataTap and Insights) was built with marketing needs in mind - and that shows. The ETL and visualization logic has a clear focus on typical use cases for marketing automation.
The best feature is the flexibility of Datatap. I didn't encounter yet a scenario where I couldn't retrieve, transform and join the data in the way that I need. And all that without writing actual code! Every time you think you can't get to the required goal, you discover that there's a feature that will help you to get to the result.
And the speed and flexibility of adding new connectors is impressive.
The best feature is the flexibility of Datatap. I didn't encounter yet a scenario where I couldn't retrieve, transform and join the data in the way that I need. And all that without writing actual code! Every time you think you can't get to the required goal, you discover that there's a feature that will help you to get to the result.

1) Documentation is lacking. It's compensated by a good support team, but for onboarding new team members it can be an issue.
2) Not exactly a dislike, but it's important to understand that Insights is focused on building ready-to-use dashboards for the end users. If your focus is on ad-hoc reporting, it will not suit you.

Advanced reporting automation across marketing channels, with both Insights and external tools used for visualizing the data.
Investing in Insights and Datatap has been a great decision for our business
What do you like best about the product?
The combination of Insights with Datatap has allowed us to access, combine, and visualize our business's data in ways we've only imagined. It's taken a little while to get used to, but slowly it is replacing our need for manually creating excel reports.
What do you dislike about the product?
The platform is a little difficult to learn. There are components in both datatap and insights that are not as intuitive as I would have liked but are getting more proficient as we use it.

Combining data from different operating groups and having accurate and reliable real-time reports available via the web.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are considering this program, I highly recommend going through with a trial. Every person that we have dealt with (from Sales to multiple layers of support) has been helpful, knowledgeable, and has gone out of their way to make sure the program has met our business objectives

When it comes to analytics I love the off-the shelf data connectors combined with the advanced analytical capabilities and the possibilities to dig into all the data details.
What do you dislike about the product?
At this moment I have not encountered anything I dislike.

I use Adverity for reporting and analytics of marketing and retail operations. Campaign and Business Intelligence as well as alerting if something odd happens.

Define a clear strategy what you want to achieve and designate an owner for the project internally.

ETL made easy
What do you like best about the product?
the easy access to the numerous APIs and the outstanding user support. Adverity enables our agency to analyze our data.
What do you dislike about the product?
It takes quiet a lot of time to understand how Datatap works, but once you know the drill, it´s quiet easy.

we created a clean data warehouse for our agency and automated the whole reporting process in our online marketing business.

tell them where you want to go with this tool. Adverity can only be helpful if the goals are defined.

What do you like best about the product?
Having all my data sources integrated into Adverity. Being able to create ad hoc ROI and Campaign effectiveness reports and share insights with my colleagues.

It really saved us a lot of time and trouble with manual work.

It does take some time to navigate through all features, but once you get the hang of it it's easy to use and you don't want to miss it again.
