Fantastic API, good results
What do you like best about the product?
Deepgram's SDK is very good - I used the typescript library and it included all the correct types, descriptive naming, great examples in JSDoc. I was able to get up an running within a few minutes. The 200 mins free is generous - more than enough to dev on your application and get things to a working state.
What do you dislike about the product?
I do wish that their SDK came with some helper methods for converting to common formats like VTT. These are trivial to do, but I would like them to ship a "blessed" version.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Deepgram for Podcast transcription, which is then fed into other AI models to create a summaries and tags of the podcast.

Very easy to use
What do you like best about the product?
I liked how easy it was to use the API. They include a ready example for you to get started, and I didn't have to do any debugging. The example they provided just worked. The service works well too!
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like it to be a bit cheaper, but it is a good service.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Their voice recognition software is great. It's easy to use, works well, and fits my use case perfectly (voice recognition on demand). It's solved all my problems in that area with an easy to use API.
The easiest way to get started with ASR
What do you like best about the product?
It's currently the only API that can easily transcribe audio and identify speakers.
What do you dislike about the product?
Currently diarization automatically identifies the number of speakers, but it isn't aways right. Would be nice to be able to override it with user input. Also, my attemps to use the front end failed, so I resorted to using the API.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Automatically transcribing big audio files with human-level performance

What do you like best about the product?
I like the versatility of the different models, the easy onboarding process, and the clear documentation. In general, the service is reliable, accurate, and fast.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some jobs don't complete, and there is little to no information provided to debug these cases. The speaker diarization algorithm is not very accurate and can be improved.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Deepgram relieves me of the problem of having to set up my ML pipelines myself. Thanks to the API, I can focus on my product without worrying about infrastructure.

Maybe the documentation could be improved using the JS library.

Easily implement AI voice to text with additonal benefits not yet available in ChatGPT / Whisper

What do you like best about the product?
Its very fast and accurate as compared to other transcribers available/used by me. It is very easy to use

Created utterances with redacted tokens in them

Its used to generated ASR in our company as we need the Speech-To-Text data, its very fast, cheap and has good accuracy

Speed of delivering transcripts, customer service and sales personnel is extremely helpful and company is willing to customly train the models
What do you dislike about the product?
The quality of WER in transcripts is really good, however not as strong as the Whipser model

What do you like best about the product?
For us, accuracy is crucial. Deepgram has one of the highest levels of accuracy out of all the ASR solutions we compared. Other solutions also had acceptable accuracies, but Deepgram's product consultancy team was beyond amazing, which tipped the scales in favor of Deepgram for us.
What do you dislike about the product?
Deepgram's console is good but lacks a basic tool to transcribe an audio file and mess around with the parameters unrelated to the "demo missions." You have to use the API to run transcriptions with various parameters to see how they all work.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The solution we're building processes audio transcriptions and extrapolates data out of them. Because of this, transcription accuracy is mission-critical for us. Deepgram allows us to focus on the core of our product and rely on them for the transcription.

The hardest part of Deepgram is implementing it within our own environment. It would be easier if there was a prepared interface that we could use instead.

Deepgram is more affordable than other services and the accuracy of the machine transcribe is better than others.
