The Tool of Tone
What do you like best about the product?
When writing, it is essential to ensure the proper tone is portrayed depending on your message and what you are trying to convey. This is where Grammarly's "Tone" feature comes in. Grammarly's tone feature is a masterclass at allowing me to write and ensure that what I am saying conveys the proper tone and message. I use this feature for all forms of writing, whether documents, emails, social media posts, etc. It allows me to have a consistent voice for my business, and the ease of use and implementation makes it so easy to stay consistent. I would recommend Grammarly for any business that conveys messages (all businesses, really) for this feature alone, all. At the same time, Grammarly has many other features that make it a top choice when it comes to writing.
What do you dislike about the product?
Like anything, Grammarly does do some things that could improve. It can have trouble with specialized words for an industry or can recommend a changing of sentence that either is not how I want to say it or would sound inauthentic from my brand/tone. These are improved by adding words to the vocabulary and making sure to look through the recommendations to make sure my authenticity and voice are consistent.

Helping me create a brand tone and to make sure the tone I am using for a specific topic is where I want it to be.

What do you like best about the product?
It's great for catching grammar mistakes, typos, and awkward phrasing that might slip past a quick proofread. The real-time suggestions make it easy to improve clarity and tone without much effort.
I also like that it adapts to different writing styles—whether you’re working on a formal email, a casual blog post, or an academic paper. The browser extension and integrations with tools like Google Docs and Microsoft Word make it super convenient.

What do you dislike about the product?
If your connection drops even briefly, the whole service stops working, which can be annoying when you're in the middle of writing.
Also, while the suggestions are usually helpful, they sometimes feel completely off or miss the point of the sentence entirely. Instead of improving clarity, they can make the sentence sound awkward or unnatural.
The AI-powered improvement tool is a nice feature, but it could do a better job with tonality. Sometimes, it pushes changes that don’t really fit the intended voice or make the writing sound too robotic. It’s a useful tool overall, but there’s definitely room for improvement.

Fairly Strong Review Software, Niche Problems
What do you like best about the product?
This allows me to quickly edit my work while writing emails, writing documentation, performing customer support, and looking at changing my tone based on the identified audience. I have it embedded in my work and personal computer, which means I use it every day!
What do you dislike about the product?
I had some issues integrating Grammarly into an industry where there are a lot of portmanteaus, scientific language, and other nonstandard vocabularies. It would be nice if it could be specialized for scientific writing with a feedstock of vocabulary words common in chemistry, biology, etc.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It requires a lot less downtime and going over my work, as it is rapid and embedded across my various work stations (including email, word documents, coding, etc.). I used it for plaigarism for public facing content as well and in the case of boring emails I used it to generate more lofty wording.

What do you like best about the product?
Grammarly is the only tool I have found that tackles the complex email conversations I have for my job. The fact that I can have it on all of my devices makes it even more valuable. I have it turned on permanently!
What do you dislike about the product?
I have not yet found anything I dislike. You do need to make sure the edit fits your needs. Do not assume the suggestions will fit your needs (although 99% of the time, they do).

Grammarly add the little extra intellegence that some emails need. It's the magic ingredient to ensuring you are providing information that makes sense and is in the right tone.

What do you like best about the product?
The Glammarly helps me a lot when writing since I always type so many typos. It is very helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
I am a researcher at academia. Sometimes Glammarly recommends me to use words or phrases not suitable for research paper or communication. It takes time to re-write or edit the recommendations. I really want to have a research specific or academia friendly Glammarly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The Glammarly seems understand the meanings of the sentence and contexts. So it is very helpful than just using other translators.

It saves time. Editing used to be a chore but with Grammarly, it saves a lot of time. The different sentence structures it suggests, especially when using it online and performance metrics provided in a word document.

Sometimes, the app highlights sentences that are termed "no clarity". This makes it confusing to know what to do next.

Grammarly saves me time.
I used to read all my articles all over again and still have errors.
Now, I just have to write and Grammarly does the correction by highlighting errors.
The best part is when it suggest sentence structures to replace what I already wrote.

I like that I can type out what I want to say and improve it to sound more professional in my emails!

So far I haven't seen any downsides to Grammarly

I just got out into a new role in my job that requires me to send out emails to customers. This has solved my email anxiety as it's nice to have a proofreader before I send things out

Content generators cannot live without this tool
What do you like best about the product?
Grammarly is immersive yet subtle. It has saved me countless heartaches by very subtly highlighting improvements and or errors in my writing.
What do you dislike about the product?
At times it can conflict with some auto-fill agents in my browser. It could be "louder" when using Office prodcuts on desktop.
