Great Product!

What do you like best about the product?
I love how it's just always on and working in any text field I'm in, regardless of platform - even now it's working! I love writing, and it's constantly teaching me new things. I even like the emails I get about progress!
What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly, not much - maybe when I'm using shorthand / not needing it? Or if it's in the way of what I'm typing? But even then I can just move it or turn it off - I'd rather it be omnipresent vs having to hunt it down every time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I write a lot of email content, and just having a secondary check prior to going to my copywriters is great/takes pressure off of them to proof. It also is super helpful with brand standards of things and making sure our team is spelling things the same way throughout our content (i.e. e-mail vs email, etc)

Easy and insightful grammar check

What do you like best about the product?
I like how simple it is to use. I set up the plugin and can forget about it. Grammarly suggests improvements to my client communications. I also really enjoy the weekly insights emails to view trends in my writing.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it does not work as well in certain applications. For example, in the OneNote desktop app, the Grammarly suggestions do not seem to line up correctly with the text, and when I click to accept a suggestion, it inserts the edit in the wrong place. Seems like a bug/glitch with this app.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Grammarly helps me catch mistakes in my writing as well as suggest better, more varied language. The weekly recap/insight emails help me spot trends in my writing and understand my overall email tone.

Great tool for writing well

What do you like best about the product?
I like the way it is imbedded in the programs like Word, Email and Excel. It sometimes also gives options for different words. It makes my documents look goo and I get my message accross
What do you dislike about the product?
Lengthy documents can be problematic, it slows down my system and Grammarly can lose track of where I am in the document. It sometimes also crashes midway through a document.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ensuring that the documents we put out to the public are well written and make sense. We spend less time asking team members to review documents.

Great product, little pricey

What do you like best about the product?
The best part is adding your own customizations to the rules/recommendations that might overrule a typical Grammarly check. Adding our own snippets/shortcuts was just a bonus! The replacement tool works as expected.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's been crashing our old PCs and not cooperating well with Outlook calendar. When we add an event on some of our machines with Grammarly open, it crashes Outlook. It doesn't crash when Grammarly is closed. It's impossible for everything to get along, especially on older PCs, so it is sort of incentivizing us to get new machines, but it's hard for a nonprofit to do. I'm personally using it on my own Mac I had to bring in, since I work better on one as their only designer. Fortunately, since my previous company sold all their assets, I was able to get it as I was leaving... but it just gives you an idea of how tight they try to keep the books.

We've really enjoyed that you've made it free for nonprofits for a limited time, but I wish it would stay forever...But I do realize that's not a sustainable model. It just seems like there would be a way to support Grammarly as a medium ground between $625/mo (for 50 users) and free. Maybe like $100-200/mo as a discounted rate?
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's helping us have a unified voice throughout our ~40 users in our nonprofit, so we can speak as a singular message to the community and avoid confusion as much as possible. We all need grammar and syntax help as well. As a bonus, we can add our own spins on things and shortcuts. Solving the problems that nonprofits face often involves using our words to influence action, so having a strong voice is integral to us.

What Grammarly has to offer

  • May 02, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate how Grammarly is integrated with most of the software I use for writing. I'm using Grammarly right now to write this message, and it's helped correct some silly grammatical errors I would have made without it.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes, Grammarly doesn't function as well as I would like in Microsoft Outlook. I tend to have to scroll up and down to see where any corrections that Grammarly shows to find and correct.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I've been told I'm an excellent speaker. However, that doesn't translate into writing. Throughout school, I was able to get by writing as I spoke. However, with the pandemic and all my work now focused on correspondence, Grammarly helps to keep things in line, succinct, and easy to read.

What do you like best about the product?
Faster and more efficient work. I can send emails mistake free, submit blogs free of errors, and get things done quicker without worrying about easy errors.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it doesn't pick up spelling errors. It's rare, but does happen.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I don't need to spend as much time reading over my emails or blogs because grammarly get the job done for me

Sharp, professional writing across all platforms.

What do you like best about the product?
Grammarly Business has been a lifesaver. I work for a small non-profit with a lean and scrappy staff. Once we added Grammarly Business into the mix, it took a lot of tedious work off our plates. The ability to have everything pre-proofed for basic spelling and grammatical errors saved multitudes of time for our comms team.

We run 20+ programs annually, each with unique snippets and styles. Having the ability to have them loaded into our style guide has made it easy for different writers to have a consistent voice in our written communications.

Having Grammarly on my platforms has helped me write more concise and effective emails, strategy plans, curricula, and more. I also get a nerdy squeal of delight every week when I get the recap of how many unique words I've used compared to other users.
What do you dislike about the product?
I am pleased with my experience with the product and have not encountered anything I feel needs improving. Grammarly Business is constantly evolving and improving, so by the time I think of a nice added feature, it is usually already rolling out.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Team Management ensures every writer at our company is consistent in style and tone of voice. It also allows us to correct as we write and catches minor errors that are often overlooked. Overall, it has made our communications more professional with less effort.

What do you like best about the product?
It is easy to use and incredibly intuitive and all of the built-in features make it the best option for business. It makes brand-specific suggestions to keep the whole team on the same page. The new AI functionality has a lot of potential to be a game-changer.
What do you dislike about the product?
I truly can’t think of a single thing I dislike about Grammarly Business. It is a great platform that has never given me any problems or issues, so look at this as a "what do you like best" part two.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I make plenty of typing mistakes and Grammarly catches them all without interrupting my workflow. I’ve recently started using the AI Writing Assistant element and it’s been really helpful and accurate.

Grammarly: The Best Tool Our Business Has Used All Year

  • May 02, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The auto-rewrite suggestions are extremely useful for my team. Several of our members struggle with concise writing that stays true to our brand, so the suggestions Grammarly provides are highly valuable in improving the quality of our team's writing and decreasing the time involved.
What do you dislike about the product?
The least helpful element is the limited analytics provided for a business team. For example, two members must be in an area to look at the analytics. I want a detailed view of individual users because we struggle to ensure each employee implements Grammarly in their daily writing. When I can only view two members together, the data is skewed if one person uses it more than the other.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Grammarly's tool has alleviated a great deal of time involved in editing other members' writing. It also has improved the quality of our team's writing overall. The best part is it has enabled us to write more efficiently with greater consistency and correctness.
