Grammarly has saved me a ton of time and makes me look good.

What do you like best about the product?
That I can quickly check grammar and make my posts/emails more readable. With a click of a button I can open a new tab, paste the text and get things done. I can use British and US English.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would love to have more languages available, Spanish is my native language and it's not there even though it's one of the top languages spoken around the world.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm a SMM in the company I work with and Grammarly help me post readable content and sound simple but fun. I love that you can actually choose how do you want to sound.

Professional support

  • May 02, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The speed with which it corrects. Grammarly has been a support in writing professional texts; correcting it suggests improvements in the writing and use of words.
What do you dislike about the product?
I do not give 100% use to all the tools it offers. I do not know how to do it. Having training and being able to know all the benefits of the application would be very beneficial
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The grammar part is what Grammarly helps me the most. It has benefited me in sending texts for work faster, more coherent, and better written.
in this case, Grammarly has no close relationship with the achievement of the business

It helps me oversee mistakes I missed.

What do you like best about the product?
Helps me keep my language more professional when I'm working. It helps me double-check the mistakes I missed out or helps me sound more professional, whether it's for an email or for the product.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think one downside of Grammarly is that sometimes it's bad at catching the tone of the text. It will keep telling me to change something to make it more assertive, even though it's in a case where i shouldn't sound too assertive.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's helping me proofread the content that goes into my product, As well as help me write better emails for when I have to sound more professional especially emailing people outside the company.

    Medical Practice

It was very smooth. Made my emailing and grammar correction way easier.

What do you like best about the product?
The way places phrases in the sentence to make it palatable for the reader to review.
What do you dislike about the product?
Cost. Most people need it for little purposes, and paying a lot might be a downside.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Grammar correction and typos, especially keeping in tune with the tone of the whole article.

Saves time, creates efficiency, and helps me communicate clearly across regions.

What do you like best about the product?
The integration right into my word processor is the absolute most useful thing. I also like that I can switch from Canadian to American to British English. It allows me to write without creating false barriers or trips that break down lines of communication. I also like that it tells me how I write and teaches me new things about grammar I thought I new.
What do you dislike about the product?
When apps and word processors do not allow Grammarly or make it difficult to integrate. I use a Mac, PC, Chromebook and multiple devices due to the nature of my work. I understand healthy competition in business, but I wish that all tech would keep the end users in mind before building walls and silos that won't allow integration. More businesses should invest in consumer ethnography.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Along with other apps it is enabling me to create brand guidelines and policy to maintain brand integrity. The baseline with brand integrity is good basic grammar and writing...so Grammarly establishes that right at the get-go.

Grammarly is innovative and so helpful

  • May 02, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
As a business, Grammarly has helped us significantly improve our business communications, including proposals, newsletters, partner communication, and product documentation.
What do you dislike about the product?
- I'd say the downside of using Grammarly is that there is a significant tendency to become so reliant on it, and that's because it's a super-efficient product.
- Also, lack of plagiarism tool on Grammarly Business
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Improving the quality of written content and eliminating grammatical errors.

Efficiency for business work

  • May 02, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Being prompt with recommendations and correcting sentences.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes, recommendations are made too personalized. There would be some issues where Grammarly would correct the same thing over and over again. like it will say remove "the" and after you did, it will recommend to add "The" and will go back and forth with it until you just dismiss it.

There would also be times where it will kind of glitch where when I try to go back to a word to correct the spelling of it, Grammarly will start acting up and recommend to change only a couple letters at the end but the recommendations are absolutely wrong.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Correctness in writing business emails.

Maintain Your Brand's Writing Style with Grammarly

  • May 02, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
My favorite feature is being able to integrate this resource into every different writing situation, from emails to blogs and everything in between.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing that bothers me is sometimes it takes a little time for Grammarly to update when I add something to the style guide. This is minor though.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Grammarly Business keeps our brand's writing style consistent, such as the specific ways we spell things on our site and on social. This is huge because it helps our users identify us based on our content messaging.

Generally annoying

  • May 02, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I'm not sure if it's helpful to see what tone I'm writing in, but the emails are interesting. I also don't know when I'm using those tones because they don't appear as I'm writing.
What do you dislike about the product?
Whenever I'm writing in Microsoft Word and accept a change Grammarly suggests, it reverts back to the original text. I find the popups to be distracting and seem to be everywhere, even when I really don't need help writing a sentence, so I turn off Grammarly most of the time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I generally opt not to use Grammarly because it creates more problems than it solves. I'm a fairly quick editor and I find that it slows me down if I try to let it correct text for me.

    Management Consulting

Works, but has flaws

  • May 02, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It's a great first pass-through for your copy. It gets the low-hanging fruit out of the way. I'm also impressed with its ability to pick up on certain turns of phrase. It's definitely more than just the basic spell-check.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's often incorrect at least once or twice in a piece of copy, when I use it. Sometimes it's incorrect about comma placement. Sometimes it's incorrect about hyphenation or a certain turn of phrase. I find myself getting frustrated with it for correcting something that I know is actually right. It doesn't know everything and that's why it's still good to have a skilled proofreader check your professional copy. This is a different issue, but sometimes it also glitches and picks up half of one word and half of the next, and marks it as spelled incorrectly. But this is usually fixed by just refreshing the page. For example, if I have "the whole sandwich"," it may not identify the separate words properly but instead thing "he whol" is a word and "e sandw" is a word, which of course they aren't words. Then it underlines all the words in red and if I've misspelled "the whole sandwich." With a glitch like that, it can cause a whole email to be underlined in red which can be tedious.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It makes proofreading faster and easier. Grammarly also catches some things I wouldn't have caught, especially when trying to proofread any of my colleagues' copy.
