Single platform for security monitoring
What do you like best about the product?
What I like the most about Lacework is its ability to ingest data from multiple sources (cloudtrail logs, ECR scan, eks audit logs, vuln scan result from agents, etc...) and correlate them to give our team a good picture of what is going on in our environment. Lacework keeps releasing new features that will make its platform more comprehensive. Besides, the Lacework customer support team is excellent. All of our concerns and issues are addressed promptly
What do you dislike about the product?
- Lacework is a monitoring platform. It does not offer any mechanism to remediate the findings.
- LQL (language to query lacework data) is still a work in progress
- Findings can include false positives, and there is no suitable mechanism to safelist similar findings (e.g., alerts about a certain service reaching out to different burp collaborator domains)
- The Web UI is clunky at times, but changes are coming (as we are told)

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps us correlate activities and events within our cloud environments (AWS, GCP) and gives us what it deems to be the most relevant events. It saves us time from triaging events

What do you like best about the product?
I like the fact that it provides comprehensive visibility and control over my cloud environment. This allows me to identify and respond to threats quickly and efficiently.
What do you dislike about the product?
The price can be high for smaller organizations that lacks security focused engineers.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Lacework collects and correlates data from across our cloud environment. This gives us a complete view of our security posture and allows us to identify and respond to threats quickly.

What do you like best about the product?
Helps to troubleshoot issues/audits in a single pane of glass. Helps to reduce the time to troubleshoot the incident.

Deployment can be a little more mature with more flexibility with Terraform.

Lacework provided a clear admin portal for us to oversee security postures in our system

Easy integration with cloud providers and responsive support team to help us setup integration

Not obvious to setup rule to ignore false positive postures

It give us ability to be alerted with security postures and warn us for non secure settings

What do you like best about the product?
Getting an overview of security posture of our cloud infrastructure is great, lots of checks and all aggregated in one location/platform.
What do you dislike about the product?
Amount of information can be overwhelming sometimes. Some of the menus or options can be hard to navigate.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Helping us improve our security posture in AWS and improving our FedRamp compliance requirements.
It is insightful how much you can overview in the tool.
What do you like best about the product?
I like the fact that it is not just gives you insight where we might need to improve in terms of security but also gives a step by step guide on how to resolve such issues.
What do you dislike about the product?
Especially coming from a background where I did not use such a tool before, could be overwhelming first. But just needs to put in the time to get to know the tool more.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are trying to become a lot more aware of our security holes and lacework is a great tool to help us oversee our infrastructure in a way that we were not able to do so. We are mainly using it for cloud compliance and security monitoring.

Poligraph functionality, you can see everything correlated.
What do you dislike about the product?
Kind of challenging to work with LQL , I need more examples.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Vulnerabilities on my images, CSPM and we have started with IaC review
Great visibility
What do you like best about the product?
We like the great visibility to review issues and analyze attacks. We have it integrated into our notification system and rely heavily on it's ability to detect suspicious activity
What do you dislike about the product?
There are so many detection capabilities that it's hard to simmer down all the features into a concise set of things to focus on. It's getting better and like the new features.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Lacework is actively detecting new attacks and that's the main feature we find useful. We want to only work on high risk vulnerabilities as well, so we are wanting more capabilities in this area.
Infra protection with Lacework
What do you like best about the product?
It provides in detail about any vulnerabilities in Infra setup in any cloud provider.
What do you dislike about the product?
The one which I have noticed is sending alerts very frequeently.

We can govern our AWS account and any security issues.
