What do you like best about the product?
It's huge catalogue of integrations, their reliability and the customer support
What do you dislike about the product?
You need to be careful with the costs. With very high volume append only sources there may be cheaper alternatives
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Integrating with many SaaS tools in an easy and fast way. It has saved us a lot of hours in development and maintenance

What do you like best about the product?
The way Fivetran handle schema changes (https://fivetran.com/blog/schema-changes)
Fivetran can save a lot of manual work when dealing with schema changes.
What do you dislike about the product?
When schema changes, Fivetran will do a resync, which will generate a lot of MAR equivalent to money.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Fivetran provides us with significant data accuracy and data in real-time, which do great help.

Good, reliable product, but the billing structure and UI can be confusing

What do you like best about the product?
The data schemas produced by Fivetran are clear and well documented.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is difficult to estimate and understand billing costs, or predict what actions will result in a large increase in costs. I also find the UI somewhat unintuitive at times. It can take me a bit of time to find what I am looking for.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using Fivetran as an additional ETL tool for data sources for which our other ETL tools do not offer an integration.

it's easy to use and fast. the utilization pricing model is good.
What do you dislike about the product?
slow response times & need to resync when minor changes to databases made

What do you like best about the product?
allows us to track data flow and map to perform analysis. we used Fivetran for Snowflake implementation to bring in data around Salesforce opportunities and sales renewals and was able to create a dashboard from this data
What do you dislike about the product?
Data extractions are more manual than automatic.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are currently using it to create a sales dashboard and funnel with live features. The ability to see data in a different way has been a large benefit

What do you like best about the product?
The level of support we received when we purchased the product was excellent, and the people assigned to our account helped us get over the initial learning curve. The number of out-of-the-box connectors is also excellent as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
The support portal needs some further work and is not as user-friendly as some other software vendors.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We can extract and load data we produce and procure into our Snowflake Data Warehouse.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make sure that you understand the sources of data you want to consume and ensure that the connectors are there available to you.

Automation of synced data sources and eliminating the need for data engineers.

The fact that you can't add an entire database and select which tables to synchronize but instead create a connector for each table.

1. Easy to set up and wide connector availability
2. Billing on monthly active rows instead of events inserted/modified
3. Partner and Pre-sales support
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing much to dislike but a reverse integration from warehouse to SaaS sources will also be a great addition
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are integrating Customer data across sales, support, and marketing to create a 360-degree view for the top management and concerned teams. This removes silos and disconnects, such as between sales and support. We are also running analytics on this data to help plan our sales/marketing capacity.

What do you like best about the product?
It's straightforward to set up and connects platforms into our data lake with Fivetran.
The UI is intuitive and friendly. Support has been good.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's expensive for what it offers, especially with other solutions around.
We also had some connectivity interruptions.
We had cost surprises, and the team has not been flexible in resolving those.
Sales reps are on aggressive targets.
As a result, we are moving away to other connectors.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Connecting ad platforms and analytics to our Snowflake database.

Estimate your usage, so you don't encounter surprises.
