Fivetran rocks!
What do you like best about the product?
Easy connector set up with many integrations.
What do you dislike about the product?
A bit slow with larger data sets on initial import.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
ETL - we’ve been able to save many developed hours.

Fivetran: Managed ELT so you can better leverage your engineers time
What do you like best about the product?
Fivetran is a fully managed and automated data pipelining solution. It saves time and energy for your engineers and allows you to do more with less.
What do you dislike about the product?
Fivetran does ELT very well but there are certain times where ETL is a better solution. It doesn't have many solutions in regards to solving ETL problems.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
At it's core, Fivetran is a Data Centralization tool. It's main purpose is to unite data from all your disperate sources such as Salesforce, Marketo, Postgres, or Cloud Storage and load them into your MPP data warehouse of choice (Redshift, BigQuery, Snowflake, Synapse, etc.).
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Look through the connectors they offer. Even if they don't offer all the connectors you would need, they are responsive to adding new ones and you can often find other solutions to adding data to your Warehouse. You are able to do a ton with very little resources and although you may have to do some data massaging down the line, it really enables small teams to do a great amount of work.
It's important to think about your entire data ecosystem when purchasing Fivetran. It's often a tool which is best leveraged when bundled with other tool such as a Modern MPP database like BigQuery or Snowflake and with a great BI platform tool like Looker.
With a combo like the one mentioned above, your team can really work to leverage data throughout your entire organization with only a few resources.

What do you like best about the product?
It has been easy to set up and maintain and allows us to keep on systems that otherwise take a lot of maintenance (to be managed manually). It was easy and straightforward to install the connectors.
What do you dislike about the product?
Having firebase data is a bit of an effort right now, so we look forward to the connector. We wish that before the data warehouse, they had a transformation sheet.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Fivetran helped us to set up our system for internal BI and analytics reporting. Your support team is always great to help us solve problems and we appreciate your product updates. We now have a comprehensive and easy to use reporting tool that puts together data from a range of different sources across our entire ecosystem.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I think everything has gone relatively smoothly. I wouldn't change anything, therefore. Naturally, we spent time trying to work on some connectors. Yet it was also a good learning opportunity for our team.

What do you like best about the product?
It is effective in syncing data completely and accurately. Apart from that, FiveTran has shown great promise that i'll get better. For example, one of the functions that we really wanted is having the ability to have daily snapshot tables, or "dim" tables. Right now, it's possible to carry this out through conventional means such as writing code by creating a new column to reflect the partition. However, it looks like FiveTran is going to implement a function that automatically creates such snapshot tables, which is definitely awesome to have.
What do you dislike about the product?
The current lack of functionalities, which are already in pipeline based on my understanding. The service staff are sometimes rather slow in the discussion. There is a great business need to push for this tool but from what I have understood from my colleagues, some of their reply were not timely and there were a lot of pressure to finally sign on with FiveTran. Perhaps negotiation and communication is something that FiveTran staff have to work with.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Data syncing is the main problem. Once we have tried FiveTran compared to other tool, we have seen great benefit that only exists in FiveTran. Other tools have not been able to sync our tables fully - not too sure why that is the case for them.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
There are no recommendations that I would recommend FiveTran at this current stage. Our company have been using FiveTran and it looks like it has been good to us so far.

Idempotent pipelines and number of connectors.

Sometimes errors in the tool are not fixed until we reach to support.

The simple user interface and intuitive design make it very easy to navigate.

As a daily user, I have yet to see any downsides of the product.

Syncing data to our data lake from various different sources. It saves us from having to build the syncing frameworks, alerts, and monitoring of the sync jobs.

Stress test the product and compare performance against competitors
Great for Speed and Time-to-Analysis
What do you like best about the product?
Fivetran had most of the SaaS integrations we were looking for. This helped us start doing analysis on our business much faster than if we've built the integrations for ourselves.
What do you dislike about the product?
When I've requested new Integrations, they've been slow. And, when they have added it, they didn't notify me it was available.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We needed to connect our many SaaS products to our data warehouse for analysis.

Simple UI, and fast to setup and get going

I could not delete the connector to salesforce, No internal logs, have to use third party tools, I dont know I was using trial version but I could not see how i monitor/stats
