SOC2 Audit with Thoropass
What do you like best about the product?
It is easy and straightforward to use, and the communication with the auditors and product manager was quick and helpful.

It would have been better if the audit review progress was reflected upon a control evidence is accepted.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It provided the platform for our SOC 2 audit.
Thoropass is easy to work with
What do you like best about the product?
The integrations with our cloud provider and HR systems make it easy to automatically import evidence. Overall, the system is user-friendly and straightforward to navigate. The Thoropass team is great to work with and our monthly meetings keep us on track.
What do you dislike about the product?
Setting up custom reviews can be confusing and not as flexible.

Breeze Compliance as a Service
What do you like best about the product?
The Cloud Monitors designed for SOC 2 not only made the compliance process much smoother, but also brought improvements to other areas such as infrastructure security and cost management. The entire process of preparing for SOC 2 was streamlined, and I especially appreciated that everything was automated, with clear instructions provided for resolving any issues detected by each monitor. The support we received from Patrick on the Thoropass team was truly exceptional.
Because most controls are linked through monitors, and those monitors are connected via integrations, implementing the system in our company was incredibly straightforward. Once we set up the integrations, the platform automatically populated much of the necessary information, and many controls were completed without manual intervention.
I also find it very convenient to log in to the Thoropass platform daily to see if there are any new tasks required to maintain compliance or to check for any regressions. Their platform makes it easy to stay on top of compliance requirements, even after achieving the initial certification.

What do you dislike about the product?
The process of purchasing and managing payments through AWS Marketplace was somewhat cumbersome. I believe it might have been easier if we had used a different purchasing method. However, this issue was primarily due to AWS and not the fault of Thoropass. Thoropass itself is excellent!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Thoropass is a truly comprehensive platform for achieving and maintaining SOC 2 compliance. It streamlines critical processes like security training, vendor risk reviews, risk management, audits, and SOC 2 control implementation. On top of that, it supports penetration testing and other essential compliance tasks. With Thoropass, companies not only simplify their compliance journey but also build greater reliability and trust with their customers.

Relationship - helping us through the process, especially with us being a new start-up business

What do you dislike about the product?
Getting access to the portal for some people, especially those who are non-tech savvy, requiring them to use an authenticator which they are not familiar with.
Security Awareness training wasn't appealing nor interactive. Didn't feel it was beneficial as anyone can just speedily go through the slides without reading anything.

We work as a 3rd party with organizations that require us to ensure we are in compliance with their security requirements. Also as a start up, we needed to be able to make sure all security controls are developed and in place.
Great Support. Mediocre UI/UX
What do you like best about the product?
There overall customer support and account management has been great. The team has always been helpful with questions and they provide answers quickly.
What do you dislike about the product?
The user experience of the Thoropass application could be designed better. It's lacking some features. It shows Tasks, but has no way to easily view past tasks completed and manage recurring tasks. It's more of a hack that our AM showed us. So trying to keep track of what tasks are due next month, next quarter, etc is difficult. It could be easily resolved with a Calendar and simple recurring task management.
The initial sales process was rough. We were very close to ending conversations with our sales rep. Looking back at it, I think the sales rep just didn't have great industry experience and may have been green. The sales rep's responses just came off as very shady and misleading. We couldn't get a straight answer on cost. Eventually, we had it escalated to some one in management who was able to articulate the cost of the platform.

Excellent Audit Platform
What do you like best about the product?
Smooth integration with my cloud provider, great follow-ups with my account manager and the in-house auditors.

The UI needs improvements, feels outdated and has minor user experience details to work on.

Effective SOC 2 Solution with Ongoing Integrations
What do you like best about the product?
I really appreciate the balance Thoropass offers between cost and features. The integration capabilities with major applications like AWS, Azure, and Salesforce save a lot of time in providing secure evidence. The setup was easy, simply connecting applications to pull data and evaluate metrics. I particularly like the ongoing improvements in integrations, which continue to make processes more efficient. Although not fully utilized, the trust center feature seems promising in enhancing security processes.
What do you dislike about the product?
I noticed that while Thoropass offers helpful integrations with popular vendors, there could be more integrations available. Other vendors seem to offer more integrations, although they come at a higher cost. This limitation means sometimes having to provide screenshots for processes not yet integrated, which adds an extra step to our work process.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Thoropass streamlines our SOC 2 certification process by integrating with common vendors, saving time in providing evidence and enhancing security. It supports our digital security footprint and facilitates vendor communication with security assurance.
Very Helpful for SOC Compliance Newbies

I appreciate the check-ins with our reps to help answer questions and focus on priorities.

There has been a lot of transitioning of reps we have worked with along the way, but it is somewhat to be expected.

Helping guide us through the process of SOC audit compliance. We started with almost no understanding of needed controls, and through Thoropass's platform and team members we have been able to take our time and develop our systems and processes.

The platform is pretty easy to use and has every feature we need to keep track of our SOC 2 compliance. The team has been very supportive for the whole process.

Platform has had some bugs in the past, but they seem to have been resolved since.

It simplifies the process for our SOC 2 compliance and audits. The audit is pretty complex so their platform has been useful in simplifying the process.
One Compliance System to rule them all - Thoropass
What do you like best about the product?
Thoropass provided a unified platform for complaince completion, tracking and audit. The platform is simple to use and has good integrations with exisiting cloud vendors to help complete the task using a gamified approach to complete the certifications. I really liked their customer support and how Val helped us in closing the tasks on the dashboard.
What do you dislike about the product?
Thoropass can improve on number of provided integrations and support, for example we also host some OSS instead of their managed cloud services and wanted to integrate that to Thoropass, which was missing but still was in product roadmap.

Thoropass helped us complete Soc 2 Type 1 compliance requirements.
