A True Partner for Security and Compliance
What do you like best about the product?
They provided a dedicated person to help organizations through their security and compliance journey.
What do you dislike about the product?
Initially, their portal can be a little difficult to navigate, but easier once you get the hang of it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Providing a streamlined capability to achieve and manage compliance with various regulations and standards
A platform for better management of the standards compliance process (we used it for HiTrust & SOC2)
What do you like best about the product?
Well, it's quite easy to use, with a dashboard showing progress, presenting due tasks (and also sending email notifications for those tasks), and allowing uploading all sorts of documents/evidence, and assigining those easily to any task/requirement for which it is required.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't think anything stood up for the worse in Thoropass. There have been a lot of burdening issues, but to my best understanding those are derived from the Standards requirements, not from the platform use.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It allows a structure approach to the audits, with relevant tasks breakdown, ability to manage those tasks and allocate it, and manage a 'pool' of evidence and assign it to the relevant requirements
Professional, friendly and helpful
What do you like best about the product?
Thoropass offered us a great deal on our pentest, and worked extremely well within the scope provided. They were extremely responsive to any queries we had, and the report provided was excellent.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only downside is that we are a UK based company, and they are based in a different timezone - but that didn't prevent their speedy responses.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We required a pentest, and they delivered with a good investigation and certifications.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Thoropass has been a game-changer for our SOC2 compliance process. The platform is well designed, Their support team is incredibly responsive, guiding us every step of the way. Highly recommend for startups and enterprises!
Great way to reach SOC 2 Type II accreditation. Very helpful staff.
What do you like best about the product?
Their industry knowledge and consistent help over time, helping to set reasonable goals, get answers to questions quickly, they follow up on pending items and help see how to apply SOC 2 requirements to our particular business. Integration monitors with AWS etc were useful. In general it was easy to use and implement. We used it weekly until obtaining report. Task Tracking and RFEs were helpful. Questions were answered promptly by support.
What do you dislike about the product?
Occasionally clarification was needed when completing actual audit evidence submission, where it was not always immediately obvious which of Roadmap tasks to prepare for the audit correlated. However auditors were always able to clarify.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Obtaining the SOC 2 Type 1 and 2 audits and ensuring business practes are compliant.

What do you like best about the product?
Customer support has been fantastic, and the platform is pretty easy to use. We appreciate all the hand-holding and assistance during this process.
What do you dislike about the product?
The cost of service is biting, but that's what you pay for great service.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are going through the SOC2 compliance and the Thoropass has been helpful so far guiding us through the process. SOC2 compliance process seems lengthy and complicated and we are lucky to have a great support team to handhold us.

What do you like best about the product?
Platform UX was reasonably straight forward and our Success Manager was well informed on how to use the platform itself.
What do you dislike about the product?
There was some early confusion when Thoropass renamed itself, distancing from the Laika branding. As an organization pursuing SOC2 for the first time, it wasn't clear where the delienation was as it turned out that Laika would still remain as the auditor. This rebranding could have been better communicated with organziations that engaged Laika for both compliance AND use of the framework-platform.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The SOC2 compliance framework (they provide frameworks for other compliance standards as well) was helpful to guide our team... if only to know what we might be missing or had overlooked.

Recent Thoropass Soc 2 Type 1 report completed
What do you like best about the product?
The team at Thoropass is very involved and always available to answer compliance questions, review your evidence, and help you think long term. The platform was easy to navigate and the roadmap was so easy to follow and gather evidence for. I just learned what Soc 2 was earlier last year and was able to lead and complete the project with ease using Thoropass.
What do you dislike about the product?
Thoropass is smaller than some of their competitors which means they don't have some of the more niche integrations that my company uses. Their roadmap made up for this and I didn't find it very challenging to gather evidence without an integration.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Thoropass helped us get our Soc 2 Type 1 report, our pen test, and now our Type 2 report. Auditors are built into the platform so I didn't have to do any external searching.
