What do you like best about the product?
I researched a number of compliance solutions and picked Laika because it was clear they provided the most robust end-to-end SOC 2 experience. An audit is an audit. And I wanted to make sure we had the right level of support leading up to and during the audit. Also Laika supported all of our SaaS and cloud tools which is a huge lift to engineering because it saves them a lot of time.
Laika takes care of our SOC 2 but also a number of customer-specific compliance requirements. They are very flexible. That was another big reason we went with them.

What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing in particulars. It's very easy set up and we got going really quickly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Probably getting through bank procurement 5x faster.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
They don't offer a free pilot or a way to test before buying.

Laika has been a great product and experience for us
What do you like best about the product?
Getting SOC 2 compliant quickly and at a reasonable cost. They make it fairly easy to implement all the controls required quickly. And they hook up to all your SaaS apps to automatically fetch data that auditors use as evidence for their tests. Helped us out a lot with policy selection, implementation and general best practices.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is no system of alerts today. Would be great to have a way that automatically alerts the right person on the respective task and create schedules for recurring compliance-related events (pen test, risk meetings etc.)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Being able to tackle a SOC2 audit, standing up policies and controls for best practice. Having all our evidence managed on the platform is also a much bigger benefit than I thought it would be.
