HR & SOC made easy
What do you like best about the product?
HR compliance training onboarding and offboarding employees are a breeze with the checklists.

SOC compliance and monitoring. Team members can divide and conquer tasks seamlessly.
Invaluable guidance while achieving SOC 2 compliance
What do you like best about the product?
Laika took all the pain out of the SOC 2 experience. First, the excellent compliance portal gave us step-by-step instructions on everything we needed to do to become compliant. I especially like the document templates, which save a lot of time while ensuring we check all the right boxes across many security controls.
Working with their customer success team also made a big difference in our SOC 2 process. Meeting with their experts bi-weekly kept us on track and answered any tough questions we could throw their way. This is a key differentiator for them.

What do you dislike about the product?
Over time, we encountered UX issues/bugs with the compliance portal, but to their credit, the Laika team was receptive to feedback and fixed issues quickly. Some items can't be tracked yet in Laika, but again, their team is so focused on making SOC 2 process smoother that I'm confident the platform will only get better in time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Laika helped us achieve SOC 2 compliance through their SaaS compliance site and dedicated customer success team. We reached our compliance goals much faster by partnering with them.

The platform and people definitely help you get through all the intricacies of getting obtain SOC2 Compliance

Nothing I can think of. Everything has gone great.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Obtaining SOC2 Compliance. Laika is providing a way for us to systematically getting in place the process, procedures, monitors, controls, etc.

What do you like best about the product?
Not knowing anything about SOC2 Laika is the platform that allowed me to be immediately effective, but the real golden feature is the relationship with an expert Laika employee that can answer any question when the platform doesn't it already.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are a few UI bugs here and there, nothing major really but sometimes annoying. I wish GDPR was also a bit more automated, don't know if possible but over time would be great if Laika could take care of more and more tasks independently.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a SaaS we need to be SOC2 certified to give peace of mind to our clients, Laika made it possible and enabled us to get certified for several years in a row and with excellent scores.

I like how responsive and helpful the humans over at Laika are, they helped us through a relentless amount of questions as we headed through our first audit.
What do you dislike about the product?
While Laika seems somewhat further behind on the software side, we have seen a tremendous amount of improvement on that side throughout the past year with them, and are very excited for their continued future development.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Laika made our SOC2 journey much less painful, we're a group that doesn't have much experience with auditing or the SOC2 requirements, and didn't want to piece all of the information together ourselves, we wanted a little bit of handholding and to ensure that we were going in the right direction.
Thoropass makes compliance easy to understand
What do you like best about the product?
As a small business perusing SOC 2 compliance, the path to certification is daunting. Using Thoropass made the entire process understandable and doable as tasks were broken into small chunks and never felt overwhelming. Overall, the platform has a clean and had an easy-to-use design. The portal's design made it simple for our small compliance team to collaborate throughout the whole project, as we were all able to see each other's progress and questions.
Our Customer Success Manager (CSM), did exactly what their job title says - they were committed to helping us achieve success throughout our SOC 2 journey! Throughout the entire time our Company has used Thoropass, we have a standing monthly call with our CSM. I have found these quick meetings to be very helpful to stay up-to-date on new features

We have been using Thoropass for over three years now, and I can attest that they are continually making positive updates to the user experience and additional ways to make it easier for the user to use.

This may be a positive aspect for others, but as someone with a small and fairly simple Company, the number of new features can seem overwhelming at times.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Thoropass has assisted us through the process of attaining our SOC 2 compliance certificate and with ongoing annual audits. This is a step that is paramount for the continued growth of our company. They have also assisted us in scheduling annual PenTests
Great help for a small startup!
What do you like best about the product?
Laika took the fear and uncertainty out of the SOC 2 audit experience. A small startup like Confirm was able to achieve SOC 2 compliance for 2 years straight and to have a clear roadmap toward GDPR and ISO27001 compliance despite our lack of legal and infosec experience; this would not be possible without Laika.
What do you dislike about the product?
Your experience depends a lot on the capability of your particular CS representative. A good or bad one makes all the difference. The site, although cleanly designed, has some awkward workflows and occasional bugginess.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Laika is allowing a small startup like Confirm to achieve SOC 2 and beyond information security goals that we otherwise wouldn't have the expertise / time to achieve. Laika is also guiding us toward ISO27001 and GDPR compliance.
SALES HACK! Breeze Through InfoSec Review
What do you like best about the product?
Laika makes it easy for sales teams to cut down time spent in the security review phase of a deal. A nice excel plug in for dealing with questionnaires. They also have a very knowledgeable and responsive team.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's nothing specific I don't like. There are a lot of things on my feature wish list, however. I think that more advancements in text recognition/OCR will take the product to the next level.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a sales leader, I'm all about deal velocity. We turned to Laika initially to help us cut down time spent dealing manually with security questionnaires. Laika executes well in this area, and all sales teams that are spending time manually filling out spreadsheets should give them a look ASAP.

Laika made it super easy for us to complete all of the tasks needed for our SOC2 preparation. We wouldn't have been able to get it as quickly as we did without them.

1. The team is always happy to answer any questions we may have or hop on a call at any time. This was very helpful, especially at the beginning of our compliance journey.
2. Laika provides a clear guideline as to what the requirements are to achieve SOC2 and ISO27001 compliance. There were little to no surprises when audit time came. Laika will help if there is anything you may have missed.

Laika used to be a bit more involved. We'd love them to have a better view of our needs and take steps to ensure we're on the right track/completing all our requirements before the audit (i.e., risk assessment, internal audit, etc).

Laika helped us achieve and maintain SOC2 and ISO27701 compliance.
