Great experience maintaining SOC 2 compliance for 2 years running
What do you like best about the product?
Thoropass has been a great partner, helping us to achieve and maintain SOC 2 compliance for the last 2 years. We just finished up our second SOC 2 Type 2 audit and it was very much smooth sailing. Four things make Thoropass great: their integrations with our systems to collect most of the evidence needed for the audit, the usability of the platform that keeps getting better, the low cost compared to competitors for higher value, and our customer success manager who is always available for anything I need. They continue to add new features, each one easing a real pain for maintaining SOC 2 compliance.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are some features that can be a little clunky but Thoropass continues to update their user experience and provide new tools. If you are on a Mac and like using the Safari browser, forget it. The system seems to built for Chrome. Not a big deal. Just something to know to avoid some early adoption frustrations.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As part of our business, we need to be SOC 2 compliant. Doing this on our own would be a daunting, nearly impossible task taking tremendous time and probably yielding a very difficult audit. Thoropass simplifies all of this, walking us through everything we need to achieve and maintain compliance. They provide their own auditors while maintaining auditor independence so there is no friction between the evidence we collect using the tool and what the auditors are expecting.

What do you like best about the product?
Company compliance documentation is available digitally for employee access. Easy to complete annual compliance training
What do you dislike about the product?
The platform does it's job, however it could be a little more interactive.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Annual security assessment can be completed easily in Thoropass. Employee handbooks can be reviewed as soon as they are published, giving employees easy digital access.

What do you like best about the product?
The steps and content were extremely easy to navigate and read/comprehend.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't have any issues with Thoropass - very clear instructions.

Ensuring that we keep our products safe and free from phishers.
Clear, guided workflows
What do you like best about the product?
As a data scientist contracted by a tech company, I was primarily brought on to help build data pipelines and support the analytics infrastructure. What impressed me about Thoropass was how approachable and guided the interface was. The platform made it easy to understand what was needed, why it mattered, and how to contribute evidence or documentation relevant to my domain.
What do you dislike about the product?
I found them slightly rigid in accommodating novel workflows. Flexibility in mapping data science controls to compliance objectives would have been useful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Thoropass provided a centralized view of what tasks were pending, which teams/employees were responsible, and how far along we were toward completion.
Thoropass makes audits fast, efficient, and simple!
What do you like best about the product?
Thoropass helped us streamline our audit process and complete it without in person or lengthy auditor meetings. The Thoropass portal makes it easy to upload evidence, communicate with auditors, and track the status of the audit.
What do you dislike about the product?
My only gripe is that the vendor module could be more useful. It helps us see who's using Google oauth to connect to third party services, but updating vendor records is clunky and inefficient. A bulk update option would be great.

Thoropass makes it easy to manage audits, evidence, controls, and vendors all in one portal. Most importantly, the modules can be used in tandem as part of the audit evidence collection process.
Compliance made easy
What do you like best about the product?
They make compliance easy. Onboarding was a breeze. Their specialists help with identifying the relevant controls and shoring up your documentation (e.g. providing policy templates). They walk you through the process, including the readiness audit and the actual audit. The compliance platform pulls in much of the evidence and can quickly tell you if you've fallen out of compliance. The integrations were quick and easy to configure. Their team is a pleasure to work with.
What do you dislike about the product?
Our first audit was a bit bumpy. It sometimes took a while to get responses from the auditors. But they have greatly improved the process. Our audit this year was incredibly smooth.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
They help us monitor our compliance status, collect evidence for the audits, manage risk assessments and vendor reviews. And they provide a package that includes the yearly audits.
User Friendly UI and easy travel though the web page
What do you like best about the product?
Ui is very simple and user friendly. Simple Ui makes it to have total attention towards the content not get distracted.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are few bugs in the web page which need to be resolved. I mean like buttons overlapping

Thoropass is automating the audit and security certifications. As our company being a start up it really helpful
Efficient Compliance
What do you like best about the product?
Thoropass stands out for its user-friendly interface and clear navigation, which make uploading documents, managing tasks, and collaborating with auditors straightforward. The platform’s integration capabilities with services like AWS, Jira, and Google Workspace automate the collection of compliance evidence, saving significant time and reducing manual effort. The dashboard provides a transparent view of progress and pending tasks, while regular notifications ensure nothing falls through the cracks. The support team is highly responsive and knowledgeable, always available to answer questions and guide us through complex compliance requirements
What do you dislike about the product?
While Thoropass covers the essentials very well, there are areas for improvement. Some users have noted that customization options are limited, occasionally requiring manual work outside the platform for unique processes or niche integrations.

The most helpful aspect of Thoropass is its ability to centralize and organize all compliance activities in one place.

What do you like best about the product?
A great tool that helps manage compliance efforts. I have helped manage compliance activities at multiple companies through the years and we finally decided to use Thoropass as a tool to help with this process. Having everything centralized and managed for you via tool has been VERY helpful. In addition the support is good in that our contacts understand the nuances of audits and compliance frameworks.
What do you dislike about the product?
Small gripe but for some admin accounts you get all the warnings about needing to do training etc. It would be nice to have an account that manages the system that is not a employee account.

Keeping process and artifacts in one central location helps keep things organized and allows us to monitor our compliance with ease
Good Product for training, surveys and assessments.
What do you like best about the product?
It is an easy to use software product with very clean GUI and UX. It is ideal for firms that would like to internally train their staff and conduct followup assessments and feedback surveys.
What do you dislike about the product?
nothing in particular. Thoropass could add more training domains to its stack.

It is making aware of the compliance requirements, hence mitigating risks.
